  1. Funny how the token eye candy loses to Noel.
  2. This matchup makes me wonder why Hakumen is low/bottom tier, I have a really hard time with this match up. The main trick here is to not combo his guard (unless it's faultless). Or else he'll counter or worse--super counter. The big trick for me is to bait a counter or a guard and react from there, akin to programming in C. mem; stage 2 = combos!!! Execute "ICE CARZ--A" if variable "Hakumen Guard" or "Hakumen Counter" = 1 ; execute "retreat" else call "stage 2" end if That's more Visual than C, but you get the point.
  3. I'm pro with Ice Cars. GameChariot is pretty pro though.
  4. Oh I don't own the game yet, I play over a friend's house.

  5. My friend initially recommended Taokaka to me, but I found that Jin suited me better, plus there was the Ky appeal, who I mained in Guilty Gear.
  6. I'm not trolling -- that act of deliberately upsetting others. I'm telling it straight up and if you take offense to it, that's your fault. I'll leave, but in all honesty, if it's already been decided that V-13 has a ridiculously easy time with Tager, akin to facing Meta Knight as Captain Falcon. Pick someone else.
  7. I know enough that Tager can't beat her. In that case, pick a more capable character. V-13 has no bad match ups, but she has even match ups, and Tager's not one of them. Answer my question instead of dodging it to soft flame me. Would it be smarter to pick a character who stands a better chance, or stick with Tager who you swear can barely manage at all?
  8. Counterpicks in terms of character advantage plays a huge role in match ups, it's just downplayed in several other fighting games. It's entirely legitimate to select a different character, because your current character is at a far disadvantage. It's not so much a system as it is common sense developed into a system. Would you rather pick up a character who fares a better chance in this particular match up, or stick with Tager and try to overcome highly improbable odds? Wouldn't it make better sense to decide on the former?
  9. Happens all the time in competitive games. Or at least smash bros.
  10. They can mistime their throw tech and be a guaranteed grab for you.
  11. Always a pleasure.
  12. What's so wrong with having a back up character?
  13. I didn't say give him up, just have a pocket character/secondary to cover his worst matches.

    [CT] Rachel vs Jin

Aggressive, non nooby Jins > Rachel Put up a defense, punish his laggy specials, especially aerials. Frog.
  15. Sucks really. Glad I don't play Tager. All else fails, pick a more capable character.
  16. The difference between my two points was. scenario a) Tager player Fires lightning ball out randomly/spontaneously. scenario b) Tager player waits for an opportunity to fire a sure hit. In BB, spontaneous attacks can help quite a bit, someone told me that Jin's Ice Car was softbanned in Japan, because it can effectively be used spontaneously or "too abusive" by their words. Just trying to help, I don't play Tager, but my friend does and a random Lightning Ball is the bane of my fear of him.
  17. Freeze them. then Grab them. then 5a twice and Grab again. then 5a twice, 5b and Grab them again. then Grab them. Mindgames .
  18. It took me like 5 minutes to realize that AH stood for Astral Finish ("H"????). Astral finish is functionally useless.
  19. Wow, you sure put a lot of faith in the V-13 player never fucking up. Shit, if that's how you wanna do it, pick a more capable character. Easy.
  20. Air Dash to j5D behind him when the magnet's on you. It's a wild card after the first time.
  21. You have a point then. Still worth a shot, unless you wanna wait for a sure opportunity, better to use it and get lucky than hope for a far less likely chance of a guaranteed hit.
  22. Don't forget the Ice Car! Jin players should learn to tech chase and throw. Works wonders after a "b" or "c" Ice Car.
  23. Then the lightning ball has an assload of stun in it. So it's not safe on block then. She's either "D"ing it up or guarding in preparation. Unless her attacks cool down that fast, she can't do both and not get hit with it. Take a gander.
  24. Ice car/truck's soft banned? Why?
