  1. But wait, isn't J.C untechable? So would they be forced to get up normally? If so, then it sounds like under certain circumstances, the move might land, either way not as a combo.
  2. Got it, in that case, could it serve as a tech trap in the same scenario?
  3. What is OTG?
  4. Try it first.
  5. I stand corrected then. In any case, I think it's worth noting that the curse gauge last about 15 seconds now (not 10).
  6. Arakune's 3C breaks guard primer and is jump cancelable on hit.
  7. Correct. We r teh bestest buddehz.

  8. I personally think that this match is in Tao's advantage, Tao beat's Arakune on the ground and in the air and she's overall faster. Arakune has to do his moves far in advance to beat Tao. Her crouching walk gets by all his mixups save for J.D which is blockable on reaction. She can easily get out of his pressure strings pre-curse, but that doesn't apply vise-versa, when you are cursed, time your drive right and aim it in the right direction, and you're done, Arakune's best bet here is waiting for Tao to mess up. Then getting his chance. Other than that, carry on.
  9. I hope it's appropriate to make a mirror match thread. For a zoning character, Arakune sure gets zoned a lot, and easily at that. Because of this, I believe that no one likes fighting Arakune, even Arakune. So, the basic rule is, "you get cursed = you lose", but lets go in depth, how can we survive this match up post curse? How can we exploit out own weaknesses to our own advantage? Head exploded yet? Let's get started. + =
  10. I don't mash out bugs randomly, I just tend to move naturally and the bugs come out, to better explain, the bugs do not influence my movements, I worry mainly about getting close, then using the Air dash cancel J.B and the B Bug to lock them down until I get a good opportunity. I use the A Bug to stop aerial approaches and I even use it as an unblockable combo after my opponent burst using J.6C > A Bug > Jump Cancel > J.6C > A Bug > J236C, I see that most of what was done was barrier buffering the bugs, which I--simply cannot do using a simple controller, however I'm nowhere near good enough to use Pads (not fluent in arcade), it's worth trying in training, but again, I'm still getting some aspects down--and I don't (deliberately) mash out bugs randomly.
  11. Whoa whoa whoa, I'm not pro yet, still practicing, but I appreciate the criticism. I thought I did pretty good....
  12. Rules of Arakune dittos: If you get cursed, you lose. Anyway, I have more videos to show. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KtlcR99ynVQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0eAJoEFvFY
  13. Actually, Michigan is known for having some really notable players in the Super Smash Bros. scene, but that's aside the point. We are quite obscure for the BB scene, aren't we?
  14. Well, if you have a car (and as soon as I can get some cash), we can head up there with Axis.

  15. Haha, nice. Sure, next weekend sounds great, we can work out a meeting place in the meantime.

  16. That doesn't sound bad at all.

  17. Yes, we are about 20 minutes apart by car, about an hour and a half by Bus, knowing Bing's bitch ass, maybe even longer.

  18. I'm off Schoolcraft and Grandriver.

  19. I'm off Schoolcraft and Grandriver.

  20. Arakune's normal backdash is back. The D bug when coming out the ground breaks guard primer.
  21. Seriously, time it right, I won't even connect. You will though. Viable or no, take what you can get. Tager's whole approach on this match up is "pretty not viable".
  22. From that Jin/Hakumen battle, I think it's worth noting that you can kill with a combo that started with an offensive burst, unlike in Calamity Trigger where it leaves the opponent's HP at 1.
