I just bought the Platinum voice announcer, guys. I couldn't help myself. The way she says "Actiooooooon!" and it kind of lingers into the start of the match, the way she pouts "Ragna the Bloodedge" when you pick him at the Character Select screen, and the way she shouts "Astral Finiiish!" in a bubbly and excited voice was just too much. Needless to say we'll be using Yuuki Aoi B on my 360 come Saturday.

It's cool Tad, I would go to Powerup if I were in your shoes too. :3 I'll be sure to put some money towards the housing thing. Thanks again for setting all this up, giving people rides, and being cool in general. I'll make sure Papstr remembers your stuff on Saturday. @Naimat- If you were the only person in Tennessee going to Powerup and didn't have any alternatives, $60 round trip would definitely be affordable. But since it's looking like both Tad and I will be driving, why not just ride with one of us and pitch in gas money? That way it would be cheaper for everyone, including yourself.

In regards to the hotel room thing, awesome. But have you looked into bus fares? The only two buses I could find from Cookeville/Nashville to Cincinnati were Greyhound and the Megabus, with the latter being the much cheaper option. It seems like it would cost about $60-$80 round trip with the Megabus (depending on when you left/came back), as opposed to the $110 one-way with Greyhound. To me, that still seems incredibly expensive though. Is there something up with your car? If not, I would just see about driving Star/Volpe/whoever else lives around the Nashville area and splitting gas costs.

Don't you live close enough to Nashville to get a ride from someone close to it/there? And speaking of the housing situation... Has Tad mentioned whether or not he'll be able to make it to Powerup? He said a while back that he needed to choose between a wedding and Powerup, and I don't think we ever got a definitive answer. If he won't (which would be saddening in itself), we need to figure out what to do for housing. I was planning on throwing some money towards Tad for getting the hotel room anyway, so maybe we could all pitch in towards a hotel room?

When/where will we be able to sign up for King of Anime games? The details page says registration will be on-site only, but I can't find a page with those games on it.

Powerup will have Blazblue, Guilty Gear, Melty Blood, and Arcana Heart 3 tournaments run by King of Anime. From what I understand, you'll be able to play them with just a Spectator Pass since they're not "official tournaments," and they'll be $5 apiece.

For the last time, you don't give yourself enough credit. You'll stand against the competition on Saturday just fine. :] April 13-15th. Speaking of which, I can't remember if I said anything or not, but I'm still planning to make it to Powerup (have the money saved, checked the schedule to make sure I don't have any bullshit un-make-up-able tests, etc.) though I might have to head up Saturday or late Friday (the former is more likely). Will be bringing my friend Eireprince, Papstr (if he can make it), and anybody else in Cookeville who may want to go.

Oh my god, I'm too bad to pull this shit off. Or too lazy to mess around and find what works. But sometimes I get requests like this: That aren't really possible. To explain a bit on how this works, I use three abilities when I make these videos: Burning Embers Lv. 3 (which halves the cost of anything that uses Heat), Rapid Canceller Lv. 3 (which reduces Rapid Cancel costs to 20 Heat), and Burining Soul Lv. 3 (which seems to double the normal Heat Gain from moves). R.C.'s only cost 10 Heat when using both of the former, and because the Heat Gain with Burining Soul is so great (normally 5-6 Heat per special move), it means two reps of the special move means another 10 Heat to work with. Kind of like a Buy 2 Get 1 Free. Now, the reason special moves work the best is because they have more Heat Gain than normal moves, as well as more untechable time. I doubt I would be able to get off that many 5A reps (even with a Fatal Counter and Rapid Cancels), and I definitely wouldn't be able to get more than three 2-Hit Carnage Scissors/4 1-Hit Carnage Scissors. ... not that anyone asked or anything. I'm just really bored in class right now. >_>; Anyway, I want to play someone in P4A that ISN'T the fucking main character, but Yu's theme is so freaking badass. If I can get over that, I'll look into Chie (she looks really fun), Yosuke (looks a little stale right now, but maybe he'll get more tech and stuff later on), and Mitsuru.

One month after the announcement, I find out Persona 4 Arena is confirmed for NA release on both 360 and PS3. August 7th can't get here fast enough. Are any of you considering playing it? It looks a lot more fast-paced than Blazblue (which is awesome), and the OST is so fuckin' groovy. I haven't really played much of Persona, but as far as fighting games go, I think it looks really solid and will be picking it up Day 1 for sure.
