If you're referring to people's use of DID(1) in actual matches, there are a couple reasons. The first is that there are some combos (mainly Dash Under -> 3C -> 22C finishers) that require the 1 version to combo... But I'm sure you know that already. The other reason, I think, is that the 1 hit version -> Follow-Up -> Axe Kick keeps Ragna closer to the ground so he falls to it faster and gives him easier/better oki. Besides, people hardly ever random/start combos with DID since it lost its invincibility, and if you do the 2 hit version to finish a combo, it does barely double digit more damage IIRC. Blood Kain might be a different story, though. I haven't experimented with how much the damage changes then, and if the greater damage might be worth slightly shorter combos. EDIT: Read a bit further back. My bad. I really need to start going a few pages back and reading forward from there instead of down a whole page -> back a whole page.

Seiki- Yeah, Vergil's looking pretty good so far. It doesn't seem like he has the utility Dante has, but he certainly seems faster. Plus he has a grounded cross-up teleport that seems to come out almost instantly. Combine with assist or his Hyper with the circling swords and you've got a top tier character in the making. Oh, and since I haven't said anything about it yet, sorry to hear you're so busy. Hope you can make it down to another MTN soon. D: Astaroth- I know for a fact they at least change his "Fists of Fury" Hyper to do more hits and damage. If you look in his character reveal trailer, it does 10 hits when he randoms it against Dante without glowing fists, but in the video of Iron Fist vs. Vergil, it turns into a ~19 hit Hyper against Chris. I'm sure that's not all it does, especially since there are fists of different colors. I'd imagine it'll work like Ammy's 22x moves, just to less of an extent. I know this is an old topic, but thanks a bunch for this, Teyah. I just got done making my Custom OST Accent Core+ yesterday thanks to this guide you made. Hopefully it'll give the local scene a bit more incentive to get into Guilty Gear, and help any videos I upload of them stand out. Thanks again. :]

Well, I *think* I've got my Custom OST Guilty Gear done. Only problem now is that my PS2 is giving me a "Please Insert a Playstation/Playstation 2 Format Disk" every time I put in any of my homebrew (or Guilty Gear). If I can get it to work, I'll be sure to let you guys know.

I have a decent printer, Papstr- I'm just not sure how it is on color ink. It's always a gamble. It prints in black and white just as good, it's just... Not as colorful.

I didn't mean to start an argument, and I wasn't trying to say you should still play in my last message. I'm truly sorry if I came off as arrogant. That was never my intention, I just wanted you to know where I was coming from. Trust me- if I thought the only fun at MTN was playing fighting games, I wouldn't drive an hour and a half every time to make it, nor would I bother recording and editing matches (even though I know I fall short in that regard quite often). If something happened to me and I wouldn't be able to compete but still show up, I would be there 100% of the time. I realize other people, yourself included, feel the same way. I didn't intend to put that in question if I did. You know we're always happy simply as long as you're there, and I know you'll have fun even if you aren't competing.

I can definitely understand the uncomfortability factor in regards to your stick, since using another Xbox 360 controller for me is enough to throw me off my game. I just thought I was in the minority. I don't have a problem in it... It's just, you organize these kinds of things for us to have fun, and I wouldn't want you to sit out a good time simply because you don't have your stick, you know?

Wait, what? I don't see how these two things correspond to each other. Besides, you know you can always borrow one of our sticks for the tourney. Heck, I even have a stick that I bring every time that no one EVER uses. EDIT: I mean... Not to sound ungrateful. A cash bonus sounds really hype, and I'm sure it'll get people practicing. I still think you should play, though.

I would love for there to be Guilty Gear tournaments. If Milln wouldn't want to handle the responsibilities and stuff for it, as long as he/the arcade would be cool with me doing so, I could. It'd be hype as shit to hold a tournament with custom tracks. I guess I'll see how the reaction to it at next MTN is (assuming I can get it done before then) and if enough people like it, go from there.

So... How 'bout that MTN? I had some free time today, so I made a mock list of the tracks I'll be using to make my Custom OST AC+. I figure that even if you guys don't particularly want it, having a Custom OST should help me get into Accent Core (which I've wanted to do for a while now).

Would you guys be interested in me making a Custom OST GGXXACP (PS2) a la this? It'd mostly be remixes of the character's themes that I put in. I'd love to have it running for casuals, and maybe even some recording if people would play it after the tournies.
