Leo, and anyone else, can any of you guys criticize me. I don't care how blunt and straight forward it is, I really wanna improve my games. I feel like I was stuck behind a brick wall for a long time, but I really wanna over come it. Just like you said Nazir, I wanna take the top now. I love how every 2 or 3 weeks there's some debate on the forum. First argument I want to make is damn Wu. The only reason you reverse-OCV because I had Nazir on my team. Guy had them cleavage, got me SO DISTRACTED!!! Anyway, fun times. Win streak with Unlimited Haku-men and other retarded things that night were cool. Leo touching my hair, cool. Leo denting the floor, not cool. Nazir dissing my Roger, not cool as well. I think I drank a bit too much since when I got home and started taking a nap, I think I felt my liver taking a beating. Second part is about getting into the community. Honestly, its very hard to involved with our community. I seen so many different people play the game with us, but for some reason, they don't talk to us. By opening your mouth and talking to one another, you can learn so much more about the community and get more involved. I don't think the community is as closely-knit as everyone calls it out to be. I opened my mouth and now I'm a part of this, even though I'm a BB scrub. Shit, BB not my type of game with its weird pacing but I still try. I don't know why people don't try talking to any one of us, even though it looks like we're a group of people. We are all here for the same reason, playing BB/GG/MB/whatever. That there is a common topic to start off with and a good start I guess. Its not like we're all some gang loitering around, doing MM and side-bets with occasional fights due to someone not paying. I can understand if someone is nervous, shy or intimidated by seeing a group of people they don't know but take it one step at a time by talking to that one guy on the other side of the cabinet and work your way around it, but this kind of excuse is not good enough. Sooner or later you have to overcome this if you wanna make friends as school, work, get a girl/boyfriend or whatever. Might as well start now when you gots the chance. This one doesn't belong in the general argument but it was brought up, the lack of general information for BB. BB isn't that hard of a game as compared to a few other games. Lot of time, you wouldn't be aware of key information such as Arakune kara-dives or OS. Do you think many other games or sites will pool all their information and give it out like that? No, not every community does that, especially SF. The most any of those sites give are the basics, and it makes sense because you have to start from the basics and move on up. These sites can only go as so far to help you that its all on your own afterwards. You have to find out new things to do, new combos (if they exist and worth doing), match-ups and etc. No one is going sit down and type down everything they know to you just because people demand it. There are occasional few who do contribute a lot of information, but there's so much that you can only do. Whenever I try learning new games or characters, there's still that lack of information such as kara-throw, OS, match-up, etc but that's for me to figure out. Like recently, I picked up SSF4 and started learning Ibuki, the forum and SRK wiki were great for the basics, but beyond that its all up to me to get better than being scrub mode. There's the whole "there's guide for specific in-depth stuff" for other characters. Like I said, its generous people that give up their time or a basic key part of the character. Learning and playing fighting games is something you take control of and learn at your own pace. EDIT: Even if one site lacks basic information such as the idea of mind-games, frame traps and etc. That shouldn't discourage the individual from learning the game. There are a bunch of other games that have the same idea and concept and such worded or used differently in each game. Just knowing the basic idea of those things and personal endeavor will pull you through.

Honestly, for the whole arcade and game debate thingy, I feel like it isn't about what the newest game is, its about what you prefer and supporting the scene. Our arcade can't get everything that we want and the whole new arcade system just proves it. New games and whatever aren't always that great and there are still people who play old version of games because they feel like its a better game, not because its new. Hell, there are even scenes for older version of games compared to newer ones. KoF98/2k2 over all its new iterations, and there are still people who play 3s, SSF2Turbo despite there being a new version. There are people who find these games better and support. It doesn't mean we should instantly drop the game/series because a new one is out when the old version is perfectly fine. I guess it only matters when there's a large shift in competition, but guess what, we are not Japan. We still have US, Canada and other parts of Asia that are stuck with CS1. We do not have access to the game and we shouldn't drop it because a new one is out. Hell, we could expand into other new areas such as AH3, HnK, KoF, whatever. We shouldn't be limited to what's new and sparkly fresh. We should be focused on what we would all/mostly show interest in and expand on that. Just like Nazir, the guy doesn't like BB because its not a great game in his taste. He still supports the old GGAC scene, despite how old the game is. The game is fine the way it is, despite some of its flaws. But this is all a matter of preference. Its not he follows SF4 or any other game because its new, he just shows interest in what he likes. Kellfire: No, I'm not looking for them. Just wondering about stuff. K2: You make strong points in how Arc-sys sells their product. However, I honestly don't think they'll expand outside of Japan that much because of the niche and profittable sale they'll make from Japan. Blade: lol, supporting for a new GG. Did you know the newest GG is some kind of RTS? No, I'm not talking about Overture 2. I wonder how we'll support for a new fighting game for that. Your points in supporting the scene is somewhat right, however we would not get our words across that easily. K2 says thing perfectly himself. I wish the boss would put up HnK D: I wonder what the new game will be D:

I think I played IaMP or one of its variants. That game makes no sense and lots of customization involved. D: don't wanna do trial and error for my characters.

Considering how our community consists of 25 people, I think we are a bit bigger and stronger than other communities. And that's only from the group. There's still John, Jabir, Tim, DD and others not in the group.
