  1. ^ I told you to get it checked out
  2. For anyone interested in PS2 Sticks: http://www.akihabarashop.jp/index.php?osCsid=acb3bebd84271930730fc8fd8f9a8d25 Group buying can be cheaper as the shipping would be cut for us. GG last night to everyone. Damn that troll and beast for 48 win streak only losing to an angry K2 after playing Rachel in BBBS. Roldy, sorry for the random burst at the end. I was just mashing buttons.
  3. lol, who did you get so far anyways? I am for a stronger GG community.
  4. I am seriously considering starting over again with a new character. Probably Johnny, Ky, Dizzy or someone else.
  5. You might wanna get that checked out, don't want anything happening to poor Roldy or Leo and his Giganter.
  6. yeah it does. He can poke faster and there's the possibility of 2C being a legitimate good anti-air. 2C into j.2A combo or j.2C combo depending on the change they make to it. There's still the possibility of changes in frame data that can make a difference. If there's more hit stun, less recovery or something of the like, his nerfs can justify his buffs. The real problem with loke test is that only obvious changes are seen. The nitty gritty still have to be found out later on. Doing something after 6B would be a blessing. 6A block strings would be fearsome.
  7. Roldy's Dubious Curve should have a Mad Struggle with Nazir's Double Head Morbid.
  8. lol my bad. A bit out of it from studying lol. Honestly, Haku will stay and strong despite all of these nerfs if they stayed the same. Everyone else is getting nerfed as well, balance things out. Just wait for the final product. The only real new problem is tsubaki and hotaru.
  9. What did I tell you Tofu..
  10. go to sleep Thomas. DarkDragon, Hermes, and Pui play Baiken. I think Nazir does as well, don't recall.
  11. Wait for the final product, if not I'll try to break things down for you for how I see the changes. renka is now 236B Pretty good, I think its a buff as it allows you to do your dp (Hotaru) without accidentally doing renka by accident which makes you waste 2 bars and possibility of getting GH 5 primers (down from 6) I dunno, just get used to it and zone better + All C moves come out faster Better and faster punishes for BnB + Back throw recovery reduced, can follow up in corner More damage potential in corner. Possibility of doing 2C j.2A j.2C, 2C, j.2A 66 j.2A j.C combo (since all C moves faster) or 5A air combo + 6B damage increased. Buff, makes your high attack a bit more scarier. + 623A cancelable during movement. Strong buff imo, can probably bait stuff, cancel unsafe moves or jump cancel into tk tsubaki or something. - 3C > 3C doesn't combo anymore Honestly, I don't care much for this. 2B 214A 66 5A/5B air combo can still be done, or get in for pressure after 3C. - renka wall bounces. can follow up with 6C This can be a buff or a nerf. You still have your dp and damage potential, just it might be smaller damage. - hotaru wall bounces. can follow up with 6C Buff outside of corner, possibility of nerf in corner depending how fast 2C is or how high they fly against the wall. If they bounce back too high, its a big nerf in the corner. - enma floats higher, harder to follow up BnB might still exist, or new basic combo that will probably lead to 2.8k to 3.2k - tsubaki slides, can only follow up in the corner Nerf, something we need to get use to. - Slower magatama recovery. - MUGEN: after gauge depletes, will not increase for at least 6 seconds. Honestly, I don't know why many people cry over this. You should not be using mugen unless you have the intent of trolling or going for the win. This nerf doesn't really apply since 6D is now considered useless. 6D is the real nerf here. - Yukikaze: will only show superflash after a successful counter. Gauge depletes on use either way. AH still has superflash. A buff and a good one at that. - Can't combo from D counters its a nerf, and a big one for j.D and 6D for mugen. With all these changes, he can still be a good character. Not top tier material but probably mid-tier at least. He might turn into a zoning character, but that's what the direction they were aiming for with the addition of 4C and j.C. He might not be your character for the damage he does, but I think he'll still be good. But yeah, just wait for the final product. Even then, there are the possibilities of patches since they have that arcade-online service thingy.
  12. When they do blockstring jump IAD D or j.236D cross up, you can punish by either j.D or 5D. 5D is easier and safer to punish with imo. Worse case scenario, you miss your catch. Don't get predictable or it'll be baited.
  13. What psychofang said early, so you don't accidentally do Renka when you mean to do Hotaru. You save yourself 2 bars and from looking stupid. I do admit its a great buff, always me to do tk Hotaru a lot quicker and easier.
  14. GG and BB are really two different games, but comparing the two, GG is a lot more harder game with a lot more emphasis on knowledge and skill. Yes GG has been "noobified" but not entirely as well. The execution has gotten more lenient compared to the old games, and some of the characters got more simpler but that doesn't change the fact its still a hard game. I am just going to state things that aren't already said or probably emphasize on other things. GG is a much more offensive oriented game whereas BB is much more defensive. Every hit counts in GG as they can lead to that big damage you need to win and that knockdown is a must. With that knockdown, you need the proper oki for that pressure or combo into more damage. In BB, being on the defensive can be so much more better, just IB into counter, combo or something most of the time. The mix-up in BB are much easier to recognize and see coming compared to GG due to the number of options and speed difference of the game. Sure you can IB in GG but its no where as good as BB and yeah you do get a burst, but it does have its cost. The two burst mechanics in both games are different, but I have to side with BB in having a more complicated burst system. Whiffing or being baited to burst in the air is much more painful compared to GG. You can end up losing the entire because you messed up a single burst in BB, since its basically a free reset. Bursts can easier in BB since they come out faster, and have better mechanics compared to GG. In GG, the cost of whiffing or messing up can lead to relatively small damage and longer burst recovery. The number of bursts are different in the two games too. BB, you have to be much more reserve with your burst while in GG you can go gungho crazy at the sight of big damage or potential threat. Hell, in GG you can burst 2 times in one round depending on the match. lol, throw breaks, not going to touch that. GG's emphasis on knowledge is more required than BB. Although I do play a top tier character, I can still lose to many people because I lack the match-up knowledge. By knowing what to do, you can abuse and win your fights. Like compare Potemkin to Slayer, Potemkin should kill Slayer most of the time, jsut because you know what to do. If that Potemkin player doesn't know what to punish, he'll just end up losing when he should be outright winning. The same goes for Zappa against Johnny and many other match-ups. Its true BB has match-up knowledge as well, but its isn't as vast and diverse sometime. Sometime, its just good to know IB > counter and you'll be good most of the time. There are some you have to know but not as much. The counter argument can be the cast size, but if you were to randomly pick 14 matchups from GG and compare against BB, its still a big difference. On the discussion on combos, GG has a lot of emphasis on spacing and timing (for FRC, links and other stuff). Spacing is key for some characters like Sol's sidewinder loop, Ky's combos and Chipp. Spacing does get involved in BB but that's only for 3 characters, Litchi, Carl and Lambda. Even then, recognition of distance varies from mid screen, close to corner and corner. Execution can get crazy for the game, with all these links, timing, character weight, hitbox and starting hit to the point where many combos can get character specific. BB, its usually starting hit and length of combo due to proration that determines what combo you do.
  15. Fatal combo posted: [h] CH 6B > 2C > 5C > 236A > (2A > 2C > 5C > 236A) x2 > 2A > 5B > 2B > 5C > 632146D (6.8K Damage, Build's 50 Meter) does not grant 50 meter, gives 49. Doesn't mean much unless this is the first attack in the round. At point blank range, you can do the following for that guaranteed 50 or bit more damage. FC 6B, 5B 2C 5C 236A, (2A 2C 5C 236A) x2, 2A 2C 5C 632146D Note: for any FC 6B combo, the 2C will whiff on Carl. After 6B, move forward a little bit for like 2 or 3 frames and then 2C will connect.
  16. Its alright, just say you're trolling everytime you throw a grand viper. I give up on trying to be Kusoru...
  17. O shit, I'm down for that too. We'll have our own mini-SBO. Kenshin is like 5 move infinite, best one in the game.
  18. Random PS2 casual section. Shove in a bunch of random games.
  19. Standard Payout is 70/20/10
  20. I dunno about you guys but I use it as a high attack occasionally or to guard brake after 6A.
  21. Its my turn to shit talk, your Carl can't beat my Hakumen.
  22. I wouldn't unless I catch them with the tip of my move, but Why-Discipline warned we shouldn't due to the explained outcome.
  23. I think Why-Discipline means exactly what he or she meant. They dash in, ID on reaction to 6C and 4C. Haku-men does lean forward or stick his arm out during the attack.
  24. Leo: NEVER!!! I'll keep trolling with Sol until I feel like learning him or playing someone else. Anyways, yeah I'll play him more for you. Gotta learn to react to it. Tofu: Against Bang, you can bait his Drive. Just do pokes with any A and B as long as you are grounded. Any of these attacks can cancel into 2D, 5D, and 6D. If they do their D on the first hit of your block string, use 5D. If you are on the second or higher hit of your block string, hit Bang's drive late or something, press 2D or 6D.
  25. DAMN STRAIGHT!!!! I need Haku-men vs Arakune, Litchi, Taokaka matchup. PUI!!!!! HELP ME WITH HAZAMA!!!!
