I'm just looking for someone that may be similar to the ones I play and pick them up. I am trying to learn as many characters as I can to get a general sense of what they are capable of and possibly learn their mindset if I were to play against them. Its impossible to play and learn all 23 characters, but having more background knowledge playing as them rather than watching videos might be helpful. Its specifically aimed for match-up knowledge.

I recently learned when to use 5B after hop. Gurren hop 5A isn't that hard. You gotta looking at the height at which the opponent is hit with Gurren. If its high enough, you might be able to land a 5B, otherwise use 5A. If its too low for any of them, replace it with 6C. Use your judgement.

Rather then making a new topic, I was looking for a new character to learn on the side but I don't know which one. I currently play Testament as main and have Eddie, Slayer, Ky, and Johnny for casuals. Was wondering if anyone can recommend me someone else based on these characters. Can't be too heavy on execution.

Hop 5A should not be better than 2C and the follow up, that is the best situation for you considering you are close to the wall. You cannot hop 2C. for the hop 5A, you cannot get a j.2C right after it, you gotta land a j.B and then jump again into j.2C. What I normally do for your explained situation is B+C > Gurren, 66, 5A, j.A, j.B dj.2C The j.A into j.B is a link, but it shouldn't be too bad, maybe try spamming B until you realize when it comes it, its really easy. Hopping 5B after the gurren, I don't really know the timing yet. For what I found for myself, its really the spacing between the gurren and the wall for me.

Sorry for the confusion, I meant to say hop instead of dash. Should have typed 66 instead, and I'm not comfortable doing 5B after the hop. In CS, I think its much more better to do the hopping 5A/5B combo now that you can add a j.C after j.2C, more damage and meter gain. I got one more question, is hopping 214B a high or normal attack?

Quick question concerning combos like 6B 236A or BC 236A or the like. Recently after landing that, I would dash in and do 5A, j.A, j.B dj.2C instead of doing 6C afterwards. I found the damage is slightly less but it builds up more bar for Haku-men. I wonder what are people's opinion on this combo ender.

lawl tournament day, I think I came 5th in BB, playing CS for the first time. I come in knowing barely anything about CS, except watching Hazama videos and looking up his guide. haha yeah I posted in the wrong thread. To contribute, I notice in one video, Nu's old rolling floor saw seemed to have changed for lambda. I read in the first post it stays for 3 to 4 hits, but in the video I saw, it looked like it was stationary. Not sure if 236D hits are in one position or rolls across the opponent with the 3/4 hits going through.
