More stuff for CS2 practice in CS1: CS2 version of the AB2 ender works on Jin in CS1: 5c -> 3c -> 236236b -> 6c -> (8JC -> j.236bbbbb) x3 (it's damn easy, too) Decent combo for j.8d~a loops: 5c -> 3c -> 5d~b -> 5c -> j.8d~a -> j.8d~a -> 2d -> j.d~6 -> j.c -> j.8d~6 -> j.2d~c -> j.c -> j.8d~6 -> j.236bbbbb

Now THAT is a taunt combo! Is that doable mid-screen? I know you could do it in CS1 and CT even, but I think Tao needed to be near the corner.

That's just delightful. Tao haters coming out already, too. I like how you don't have to 214d after a back throw to hit 5b, the back throw pose is so trolltastic. You stole my comment on that video, Riku. I wanted to give the bad news, but YouTube ate my comment. I'm still curious to see if we can get something stupid off a mid-combo FC. 3c -> RC -> 2[c] is supposed to work (corner only?), but I wonder if you can get it off anything else. Maybe 6c -> RC in the corner, or air/back throw RC (but proration would suck), or maybe off gold burst (timing would probably be tricky for that, though).

Technically Cat2 is affected by proration, we just say it isn't because it has minimum damage, and its prorated damage in combos is always WAY less than the minimum. On the other hand, since damage is halved in AB2 it's already below the minimum before you factor in proration, so gold bursting won't help AB2 damage. I can't imagine how she gets up to 8k with gold bursts. I really want to see this now...

Here is an interesting combo ender in the corner. 2b -> 5c -> 2d -> j.5d~c -> j.2d~b -> j.8d -> j.8d~6 -> j.2d~6 -> j.236bbbbb (2677) Looked like a roll or tech punish, since 2b sent Hazama airborn, but the airborn stuff could work on other combos. Plus it looks flashy as hell. Damage isn't anything special, but 2b has ass proration. Doubles up on j.8d and j.2d, but it's at the end, so it won't have a huge effect. Do we even know what the same move proration is? Because if it's only 90% or something, we might not have to worry about it too much... Edit: I did some calculations on the combo damage, and it looks like there's a missing 8% damage in that combo which can be attributed to same move proration. Of course, this is using CS1 frame data for damage and proration, but I don't think there were many big changes to those as far as we know. I'd say that considering possible frame data changes and rounding errors, same move proration on d attacks is roughly 90%. To put it in perspective, the same move proration at the end of the combo from j.8d and j.2d lowered the combo's damage by 14. Basically, unless you're doing loops, don't worry about it.

Apparently, in the CS2 changes thread, 2c doesn't FC any more unless it's max charged, and you can FC mid combo with a fully charged 2c. How the fuck you're going to do that, I have no idea... Probably need a RC, but you'll need to get a LOT of extra damage to make it worthwhile, especially if AB2 enders are viable. Then again, the only FC combo that Tao had was taunt loops, so I guess we really don't need FCs...

Right, forgot about that. Ok, no troll loops, but full blown taunt loops into AB2 ender had proration down to ~30% in CS1, so single taunt setups might be able to work. Maybe not off 5b -> 6a, but perhaps from 3c/6c -> 236a -> 5d~b -> taunt. It sounds like the AB2 ender XDest posted is universal, except for Tager. Maybe you can use a taunt setup on him? Or that setup can be a taunt combo legitimately used for taunting...

Wow, it feels like we dodged a bullet with a few new buffs and some old nerfs taken away. I'll miss taunt combos, but not taunt loops. Also LOL at AB2 combos staying in... AND GETTING EASIER. Unless 5d~6 -> 236bbbbb is too different this AB2 setup I found should still work... and still be fairly impractical... I'm wondering if the old taunt setups into AB2 ender could still work. Remember, proration doesn't effect the AB2 ender's damage. Maybe you could still taunt loop it for mad troll points. I wish I could get my hands on this and try to figure out new shenanigans...

Not really, she's getting a j.b that looks like the old Cat2. We have no idea if it can end combos like the old Cat2. We have no idea if we have combos period. I don't understand why they keep nerfing Tao. They want her to be less runaway and more offensive, so they take away all her offensive abilities... GOOD WORK!

That shouldn't be possible. You can't do a c cancel after doing 9d~9 twice. I think it's possible j.2d without a cancel could work and let you hit j.c afterward, especially on Haku-men, since his hitbox is bigger/different than normal.
