  1. More bitter GG fans blaming BB for the games dwindling fanbase. Really, GG killed/is killing its own fanbase. Poor international scene, lack of new blood, a niche audience, and also not really giving anything new in terms of the main games. It was revamp after revamp of the same game, new stuff was added which was good and it worked for the most part, but people are only going to play the same game for so long before wanting something new or different. Rather than giving GGX3 like they should have done, they didn't. GG never really evolved past X2. It just became X2.5 plus more complex mechanics which in turn alienated new players even more. Add this with the new direction Daisuke is seemingly wanting to take the series and it's no surprise as to why some GG players have moved on to other games. Eventually we're bound to see a true GGX2 sequel(which I've personally been waiting for since AC vanilla), but until then you're just gonna have to deal with the shift. And you should be thankful for BB and in addition SF4, regardless of whether you personally like them or not. Why? They've brought back life into the 2D fighting game scene, which it needed. No one wants to make a game for a market which isn't even profitable anymore. These games have helped it stand back on its feet. On an irrelevant note, I love me some CvS2, and Capcom/SNK need to release that over XBL/PSN already. I have the game myself but I can't play it for some stupid reason :/ EDIT: VVVVSagat was such a punk in that game.
  2. It was actually the first GG related thing i ever saw, though I the time I didn't know it. Back when G4 wasn't total garbage, there was a commercial for Cinematech(I think that was the name of the show) and they showed the clip where Dizzy's wings and boobs are popping out. Then when I actually saw the whole thing once I got #Reload I was like "Oh so that's where they(G4) got it from!" It also made Still in the Dark for me.
  3. PUT YA GUNS ON! Sengoku Basara anime made me laugh. A GG anime prequel focusing on the crusades and the first slaying of Justice would be neat I guess, if done right. That way they aren't overloaded with too many characters like most other fighting game based anime which is largely what kills them, aside from crappy story.
  4. CUM FIGHTA! CRAAAASH VIIIPERRRR! To this day I still have no idea what Faust is saying in that vid.
  5. Well this is my take on it personally: I think it has to do with guns being associated with western culture(cause WE LOVE US SOME GUNS! plus the whole cowboy thing, whose influence is seen in some of these archetypical characters, examples being Vash and JoJo's Hol Horse) and Japan seems to have this thing where westerners or westerner-inspired characters are generally portrayed with blonde hair and many times blue/green eyes. Not all the time mind you but enough to where blonde hair and blue/green eyes = uber westerner. Put the two together and there you go, your blonde haired gun totting archetype. It seems like when they aren't wielding guns they're either knights or wrestlers. Or Nazis.
  6. leo and gig are just horrid. This is why GG should stick to female final bosses, they tend not to suck. Though, I do want to kick That Man's ass really badly... GG will always hold a place in my heart though, no matter what happens to it. There's no fighter like it gameplay wise. But I do wish in the next GG that they not only redo the sprites, but make the animations better. Sol's awesome and all but some of his movements are really awkward(running animation and forward Heavy just look silly).
  7. The one I use is MillerNation.

  8. Makato states that she's jealous of Tsubaki's relationship with Jin(which tsubaki replies because they're related to one another since they've known each other since childhood), implying that she may have a slight thing for him. Jin's that hot guy in class every girl wants a piece of but he wants nothing to do with them lol.
  9. Adopted I would guess, otherwise she'd be related to Saya and ragna as well...but then again it seems like half the cast is related to each other, iDK Carl and Ada might lost siblings to Ragna/Jin/Saya for all we know, Ada does resemble a taller saya in the materials collection.
  10. Jin sees most people at little more than impediments or obstacles anyway, and there's very few who he truly cares about, Ragna being one and Tsubaki maybe being another. Noel only because she resembles Saya.
  11. On the subject of Nine and Jubei, it's never really stated they actually had sex with each other(putting it bluntly here) or were even lovers, for all we know Kokonoe could've been made in a tube or something using Nine and Jubei's genes for whatever reason.
  12. So tekken 6 is pretty slick eh? Puttin it on my Christmas List...first time owning a Tekken game too.
  13. Terumi probably takes on his spiky hair form when he unleashes his true power no matter which body he's in. And since the game implies that Terumi was there on the church incident(he killed the old lady in fact, who was Nine's sister), he was either not seen entirely by Ragna or not Hazama back then.
  14. ^Agreed. Monorail is my favorite stage. Fighting atop a moving monorail a hundred feet off the ground from day to night while being followed by a giant flying gentically altered whale? Simply epic. Thanks for these, had a blast looking through them. Litchi's concepts were yucky, guess there is a such thing as TOO much cleavage. Was Ragna holding Dante's Rebellion in one of the gag sketches?
  15. I had thought Bang had respect for Hakumen(he doesn't know his real identity), and that Hakumen gained respect for him despite dissing him as Jin constantly. What I want to know is what Litcii took from the boundary...eternal youth? Power? Perhaps she discovered the "truth" and realizes that Arakune plays a crucial role in it?
  16. Robo-Ky's voice nerf was the worst in the franchise.
  17. Tager can pull victories out of ass spontaneously with like 2 combos or a 720, I'm guessing that's why he's so popular. Problem is he can't do it frequently or much at all against certain characters. I guess I do get more Litchi compliments these days though.
  18. So yeah, playing against Brave_Hippo and his Jin has inspired me to sub him. Plus the guy, while overused is a stylish badass. One thing I want to know is what's the best way in general to approach an enemy with Jin? Should I strike from above, attempt to freeze from mid with ice wolf or bait the enemy with swords and just for the, to come at me? Also, as Mac pointed out Jin can cancel his throw midway much like how Litchi can do hers, best way to follow up on this?
  19. Dropping a character before the even playing the game...at least give poor Rachel a chance,.
  20. Ritchat's style is lovely. Loving the blue Baiken pic.
  21. This is no doubt the most badass stick I have ever laid eyes on. Roberta FTW. Black Lagoon is probably my favorite anime of all time.
  22. Can someone list which staff attacks sledgehammer will ram through without taking any damage? I know tsubame doesn't work(which can very annoying) and itsuu B doesn't work(dunno about C).
  23. They probably also used grimalkin rather than bake-neko to hint at Nine being Kokonoe's mother, since Nine was a witch. Was that ever confirmed though?
  24. What's a Setaria viridis? Some kind of drink? Also, it's interesting how Hazama didn't dislike or like anything in particular in CT but in CS has a fondness for boiled eggs and hats cats. A stretch perhaps, but maybe this is reflecting Terumi's possession of him? Terumi's dislike for cats could stem from Jubei and snakes eats bird eggs and well Terumi is assciated with snakes somewhat...yeah it's a big stretch but I don't see how Hazama suddenly likes eggs and hates cats out of nowhere. Turns out seteria viridis is some kind of bristlegrass. The world's strongest creature hates bristlegrass, who would've thought?
