4C was special cancelable in early CS1 loke tests, but it was removed because the devs thought it was too broken lol. Well now it's back and it's faster. I can see a lot of 4C xx Gurren, 3C in Tager's future. At the same time though, 4C still retains its unique property of being CHable at every point in the moves animation, so that shouldn't be so bad. That's my contribution to the thread. Now for the off-topic part of my post; Brice expressed interest in travelling to Toronto for end-of-the-year regional tournament on December 18th. It's been confirmed that all of our top players will be there like Pui (Carl player), Hermes (Arakune). Any other MTLers interested in making the trip?

Those Tager buffs far outweigh the nerfs. Sledge with super armor = Hammerfall. I'm a little iffy on the details of that "charge cancel;" does that mean that Voltaic Charge has less recovery? Or that you can cancel the animation itself with specials/supers? Removing the 2C > 4D gatling is understandable. As of right now, it's a relatively low risk, high reward move. If your opponent barrier guards your AA 2C, you can just cancel into 4D for magnetism and neutral frame advantage. If they press a button between 2C and 4D, that's a free CH into 2500. Hell, you can even do wake up 2C, and if it's blocked, make it safe without meter. The new 2C > 3C gatling will still allow us to counter hit attempts to poke after 2C. Once you condition them to block low after 2C, just cancel into 5D for magnetism and +2 frame advantage. So that nerf only makes 2C marginally less safe. Against smart players, j. D is the suicide button. It has so much landing recovery, and normals that drop your hitbox like Ragna's sweep will hit you out of it clean. Holy shit though, Tager has Hammerfall.

Oh, and by the way guys, Montreal wants to make another visit to Toronto. They had a great time at T11, it really helped them level up, and now they're hungry. However, I told them that a lot of the top players prefer arcade tournaments over console tournaments, so the turnout on December 18th might be kind of low. Regardless, they still really want to come. I don't mean to be presumptuous, but I feel like the Toronto community should reach out and promote cross-community alliances. I know that I'll be there 100%, and I'm hoping some of you may reconsider. The MTLers specifically want to play Pui, Hermes, K2, myself and Leo lol.

Wait, didn't they give Tager a 6A > 5C gatling a few loke tests back? So now he can pull his opponents in with a charged 6A, and then make it (relatively) safe with 5C. That's dope. I also suggested in the Tager general discussion thread that the faster recovery on 3C might allow him to do max range 3C, walk forward, 2B xx Collider. That would be a huge buff for him. It would only do about 2000 damage, but you'd be landing it a lot, and that shit adds up. Edit: And why is Yumura landing more B-Busters? Maybe they gave it 3F start up like Pot Buster?

Fuck, I can't make it this Friday. Saturday is a possibility though... Back in CT/early CS, he was the best player in Canada. He's in Korea now, serving his compulsory 2 year military service. I'm sure when he gets back and shakes the rust off, he'll go back to running the show...

Would anyone in here mind filling me in on BlazBlue results? I see top 3 as Victa, Astupidcrayon and Scum; which characters did they play? How did the sets go? Will footage be posted? Canada Cup was a phenomenal tournament, much love for the West Coast of Canada.

We watched Daigo shit all over Mago's tertiary (if that) character. Then we watched Mago's Fei Long get sonned by his worst match up and that's the Canada Cup. Mago and Daigo probably split the pot. Or maybe Mago knew that if he went with Sagat, Daigo would just go back to Ryu and wreck him. Sagat doesn't do very well against Ryu anymore. JS made us proud.

I feel no hype for the grand finals coming up.

JS Master vs. Mike Ross. I feel like JS can lame this out, he has a decent amount of match up experience thanks to players like Dave Ro.

From my limited understanding of Guilty Gear, Eddie can't get you if you don't actually play the game. So that'd be your best bet.
