  1. So many possibilities. So much to fear. Still so many questions though. How late can you cancel, what else can you cancel into, etc.
  2. Last thing before I get off your wall for the day <_< This just floored me yesterday. Dat hitbox. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCQO4meVaUI

  3. @XBL thread: I feel a bit guilty when I break out Valk :v: Was gonna wait until CS2 to really learn him more but I'll break him out next time. Mostly trying to solidify my Mu, my Tager's pretty much hit a glass ceiling for the moment. Plus I'll have to relearn everyone when I switch to stick. Fun! PS: Tager mirrors = :vbang: PSS: World's only Mu who sucks vs Tager :vbang::vbang: PSSS: You stole my Tager color, jerk :| or vice-versa

  4. Stop by the the Beginner Mode and Tager forums later for more in-depth help but as far as very general tips I recommend: 1) Learn what each of your normals looks like by heart. You don't want to be thinking HOW to do the move you want, just WHEN you want to do it. 2) Practice special move motions. Same as above. 720 motion will take more time so don't get sidetracked by mastering that first. 3) Learn how your normals gatling and link (safely or otherwise) into each other. You don't need to know all of them (stick with it long enough and you will anyways) but useful ones for Tager are like 6A 3C, 2B for off-the-ground pickup if the 3C hits. 4) Learn the very basic BnB combos. For Tager the most important is just his simple Atomic Collider combos, magnetized and unmagnetized versions, and anything short that leads into magnetism. 90% of the time the huge combo lists are just (various combo starters -> meat of the combo -> combo ender depending on how long the combo ran/proration). Your execution doesn't have to be perfect yet but you want to get on the right track first before... 5) Get out there and practice what you learned. The best way to solidify any of this is through lots and lots of practice. Also don't get complacent if one trick works many times in a row, always be willing to vary up your gimmicks when you develop them. 5b) Be patient. Tager is like a bear, slow but he mauls your face if you look at him funny.
  5. Considering the distance those matches weren't as laggy as I'd expected. GGs :3 Will have to do it again

  6. Dunno about others opinions but tossing out a low is good for anti-jump tactics. Used 5B 3C previously like that. 5B being air-unblock makes this even cooler.
  7. That's what super armor is though. :x Different from guard point.
  8. Oh yeah, shoutout addendum: Shoutouts to the Dacid crew showing up (nearly) late and taking all yo monies Shoutouts to Tone's hat Edit from below:
  9. If you hadn't randomly let me know of the tournament I probably would've completely missed out on the experience, so thanks for the mention back whenever :x I'll have to start using a stick to prepare for next time though haha

  10. Shoutouts to: -First tournament -Leaving early, slightly salty. My bad :x -Practicing the past two days with Tager and then just using Mu for the tournament proper -Dropping 70% of my combos -Saka for organizing the tournament and playing casuals with me on the side. Didn't get the chance to say GGs before I left, sorry! -tofurr for casuals before the tournament and recognizing me from my characters -blk mage for knocking me out of the tournament :x and me for jumping a 720 then falling into it anyways -Tone was it?, for being a cool dude in general. -Recognizing nate and not saying hi while I just stared at him all creepy-like. No homo. (I was the asian dude with glasses that wasn't SJ. If there were more then shit I dunno. I played Mu so yeah.) -Dacid and company for being hype and stuff. Also to Dacid for saying I have a cool name, I think >_> Also for being almost late and getting lost. Someone tell the full story because it was hilarious and I don't remember. -Spirit Juice for blasting the shit out of me on the stream. And finally, shoutouts to only ever playing on a 360 pad and being "forced" to play on a ps3 for the stream. Would like to add PS2 pad sucks. Tried a stick for the first time, didn't realize how different it was from pad til now. Gotta get a stick of my own for next time if there's another gathering like this. Not really that mad overall though. Was fun being there with a FG crowd and seeing how my skills stack up against others (note: needs work). Thanks again to Saka for organizing this. Hope someone will continue the trend in the future. Small nitpick but there were a lot of unmanned setups while matches needed to be run. People've gotta take some initiative.
  11. It's the Tager not knowing the matchup. Bad XYHs and 2Ds are the most obvious offenses. Mu's changes make this more difficult to be sure (faster 5C/steins) but it was never impossible.
  12. Oh wait duh. 6B FC might make Gadget Flinger a bit more threatening rewarding? also, depending on what you can get off of it. ninja edit
  13. 6B has FC properties it seems. Wonder if that will be useful
  14. Fairly sure it'll be a mix. Looking through past posts there's at least 1 of each console.
  15. Don't think there's a comprehensive list of finalized changes. I expect one will turn up in each character's forum (at least) within a week or so. From first impressions Ragna just seems different rather than (completely) nerfed. 6A no longer gatlings or cancels into anythng, even jumping, and only combos on CH. Dead Spike apparently floats more on hit which makes the "Dead Spike" loop possible and probably part of his new BnBs. Too early to say (especially for me since I'm hardly a reliable/knowledgeable source) but he'll likely stick to mid tier, B-ish. Just time to play the waiting game and see how the cards fall, I suppose.

  16. Japan gives nicknames to Tsubaki's specials instead of the long names they have like Wings, Wind, Light and etc. I believe Wind is her 22A/B/C/D series. Not positive (running on translating katakana http://blazblue.jp/cs/images/special/BBCS_inst.pdf) but I can guess a couple j.214 - wings 214 or j.236 - light. not sure which. I see it in both. Don't know the rest of the abbreviations so I'd ask around the Tsubaki boards or someone who knows her JP lingo. Peace

  17. What continuity of Storm wears that outfit? Not familiar to me. Didn't think Viper was that iconic of the SF4 newcomers. Would've thought of Seth or Rufus first. Just judging on looks though so idk. Don't wanna see these two are "boring" but not everyone can be beamspammers or whatever I suppose :x
  18. Have a couple vids of unlimited trolling and valkentroll from the past two days: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=litN87GlgIQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3tDOijTN4M

  19. If it's finals week, wouldn't that mean you're free for the weekend? Or am I just being shortsighted? :/ (Work / stress / less or no practice?) (Finals for me too)
  20. I was getting the impression that his throw just isn't special cancelable anymore, not that there are no followups period. If back throw does indeed make them bounce up more an alternative followup definitely exists.
  21. Bit confused on whether Voltic is still 421B or 214D, though it isn't that important I suppose :x Gadget doing 100 damage seems so troll-like. Will be interesting to see the new 6A as well.
  22. Kind of new to this so is there any kind of advance registration (beyond showing interest for numbers), or just show up (early-ish?) pay up and get beat up?
  23. To flesh out the meaning of "free" (saw a post of yours from the other day), it's short (I guess?) for "free money". Someone who's free that enters a tournament is just sweetening the pool money from the perspective of the guy who kicks their ass :v: "X (insert generally good player) looks pretty free right now" -> "X playing like crap"
