It's stated by more than one source that Baiken was one of the survivors of Justice's assault on Japan, around the time she met That Man. I-No has also commented on several occasions in GGXX and Accent Core that Baiken is nowhere near as young she appears to be. As for Mizuha having shown her Gear-like heritage, the evidence is when she "awakened" after Geena's massacre at the diner: Going into a rage-induced trance that brings out their power unfiltered like Dizzy was typically known to do (which Testament has stated is a natural defensive function in Gears). May went through a similar "awakening" when she faced Justice for the first time and subconsciously released her full power out of self-preservation, and Baiken underwent her own awakening (with Baiken even coining the term "Awakening" in one of the Accent endings) when I-No grievously injured her, but then proceeded to overwhelm her in the second round(though I-No obviously escaped before she could kill her).

Unrelated topic, but is anyone here interested in becoming the new administrator of the Guilty Gear Wikia? Danseru-kun has officially stepped down and is looking for some people to take his/her place:http://danseru-kun.tumblr.com/post/148232129204/anyone-wants-to-be-a-guilty-gear-wiki-admin-or

Well, here's a dose of hope offered by Aksys: https://twitter.com/aksysgames/status/769315786175361024 So, people: We need to start being loud if we want our dub.

Definitely.

My apologies.

He was in the Story Mode trailer, so he'll still show up in the Story DLC.

I have to say, I really want Troy Baker to play Sol again. He really nailed his character in Overture and sounded natural IMO.

Revelator doesn't end That Man's Arc. Daisuke stated in a Famitsu article last year that the confrontation between Sol and That Man won't happen until the Universal Will and Ariels are dealt with, and going by the snippets we've seen in the trailers, they're going to succeed in a large extent with their plans(mainly Justice's revival). Then there's whatever the heck Bedman is plotting behind their back. This is the arc where That Man will finally reveal his secrets. but his story isn't over yet.

Agreed. His motivation to spare and later help Dizzy had nothing to do with Justice, at least not for the reasons most fans tend to think. Chronologically, he previously spared Solaria in Guilty Gear X: Lightning the Argent, who was a Command Type Gear created by Plackard Company, because her innocence also convinced him that she wasn't an actual threat. In GGX+'s story mode, his conversation with Dizzy convinced him that not all Gears desire their own deaths or seek the destruction of others. I mean, he didn't even go out of his way to kill Testament from GGX onwards(and Sol's AC+ Story Mode summary even indicates that the ending where they blew up a PWAB facility together happened), so Sol was likely already on his way to reconsidering his mindset about Gears. And Justice's AC+ Story Mode didn't really retcon Missing Link. We just get insight into what she did after she was unsealed before her inevitable confrontation with Sol. And Sol's response to Justice's words is more ambiguous in the japanese version of Missing Link. In the original Guilty Gear English translation, he refers to That Man as "their boss" , which lends to the possibility that he may have known that Justice was connected to Aria, but in the original dialogue, he says that he's "their creator" which lends more to the theory that his sympathy towards Justice comes from the fact he thought she was a human being who was forcibly made into a Gear like himself.

Likely he did.

Raven has been added to the playable roster and we get a silhouette sneak peak of Dizzy's battle form. Here's hoping that by May 27th, we'll get to see some old favorites included as well.

ARCSYS enjoys playing mind games with its fanbase by flipping their expectations on their head, haven't you learned that by now? Even May was freaked out when she found out the truth. On the topic of possible console exclusives for Revelator, I'm personally hoping that Baiken and Anji make an appearance since Japan is going to play a large role in Xrd.
-
Well, she was being pursued back in GGXX: Midnight Carnival by the PWAB/Conclave because they wanted to examine her due to her proficency in Ki, along with May and Chipp since Ki is the least understood magic of the five elements. Given that eastern Ki-users are being afflicted with Ki-Overflow Syndrome, she might be seeking treatment or will perhaps be a vital component in helping Faust and Kum understand more about the illness.

Agreed. Also, I loved Jam's line in the trailer. "Normally, one is born only with a single power. But Heaven has blessed me with more than one gift! I'm beautiful AND I can fight!"

Just the opening intro, but here you go. Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hf4IKx-iI8

Hard to say anything about who or What Bedman is, or That Man for that matter other than the fact that they both have a powerful affinity to the Backyard and maybe equal knowledge about its workings. We still don't know anything about That Man, his magic or how he's even able to live comfortably in the Backyard for decades when even Youkai and Gears(even ones as powerful as Sol) can't stay there for too long without the threat of having their body and souls crushed into oblivion, even though he's supposedly still human. We'll just have to hope Revelator answers some of those questions.

He probably fell from exhaustion after pulling off what looked like a Napalm Death while in Justice's stomach. :D As stated about the Gears, some Gears and Youkai are immune to Justice's control due to willpower brought on by their evolved sentience. Remember, Gears originally weren't programmed with a consciousness, which is part of why Justice could manipulate them. Gears capable of sentient thought are apparently much more difficult to control. In Accent Core, Testament didn't react to the Justice Copy's Gear Resonance, whereas Dizzy, despite being a Command Type like her mother, was affected somewhat but wasn't put under its thrall. It just made Necro go berserk with her trying to calm him down. Sin fell into it with Valentine because Sol mentioned how he didn't train him to reinforce his mind against mental attacks yet. Heck, even in the original GG, it's said by Justice that Testament actually disrupted the unsealing ritual on a subconscious level so that when Justice broke free, she was much weaker than she was supposed to be. So, Gears and creatures similar to Gears fighting off her mind control is an established thing in the lore. In Overture, Paradigm wasn't affected by Valentine's Gear Song while his friends were turned into puppets. Youkai are also susceptible to it because of their structural similarities to Gears, but Izuna was able to resist it with no problems. As for plot importance, everyone had a part in the story. Just because it didn't consist of scenes with everyone always kicking ass anytime they were on screen doesn't mean they weren't important or didn't contribute in some fashion. As for Bedman escaping, there's absolutely nothing that Zepp had prepped that would've prevented him from teleporting out of there, as we saw later. He even implied that he let himself get captured was only so he could terminate Ramlethal until he changed his mind, then teleported out of Zepp with no issues. His bed frame also has nothing to do with his actual powers. It works in conjunction with his abilities but it isn't the source of them. he's said himself that he and his sister had these abilities since they were born. Heck, if what sources about Revelator are true, Bedman's powers are so strong that he could overload and destroy his bedframe just from waking up.

And the irony continues to amuse.

Weeeell, Elphelt does look and act like an adult Madoka... Hmmm.
-
I'm also hoping that she gets a Dragon Install-esque Overdrive that allows her to transform like she did at the end of Story Mode, or at least gains new moves correlating to it like that Rain of Judgment used against Sol.
-
Jam in Revelator is confirmed.
-
There's also the possibility that "Tuner" might be an alias for Unchou, just to put it out there.

I honestly can't see how anyone could mistake a hulk like that for a woman. O_o And looking at Faust's screen shots, I wonder if Chronus having a sprite indicates that he may be playable?
