I'm not really sure, but aren't you retracting the 6D too early? Sometimes it feels as if you need to "leave" it there for a split second before pressing A. Then again, I could be completely wrong as I barely played BBCS. Regarding the purple throw, it might be useful now and then, but there's a way to tech them instantly by mashing ABCABCABCABC... it has a little timing to work though.

I see. Am I supposed to do C's just once after 4D? No Jump Cancel > MOAR C? At least that's what I noticed Zakiyama was doing today.
-
Why does j214B whiff so much as a combo ender? It's not just me though, I see a lot of people whiffing it. Does it have something to do with character specific stuff or is it just timing?

For how long have you been playing? First thing you need to do in order to be good is to change language to japanese. After that, it becomes soooo much easier. Seriously now, watch combo videos such as Athena, Cyclone, Just Like Me and another one that has something to do with Candles... I forgot. Try to use that information, I'm sure it will improve your gameplay a lot. Practice combos, set ups and resets. Know your moves and how to have an upper hand when you get your opponent knocked down. One more thing: use "A" more. It's very, VERY useful.

Perhaps it might combo if they're in the corner. Using Yukikaze would get you right next to them. Maybe Rapid Cancel afterwards? -

I'd say he would place either in the lower part of High Tier or in Mid. But that's just me, it might be different. From what I've seen, he's still sort of solid, but as PozerWolf said, a lot different from his CT counterpart. Losing 5C > jBis really frustrating, I know, but jC looks amazing as a CH combo starter... for some reason air combos have been dropping a lot when people try to use it after j2C. -
I was talking about the gamechariot page itself, I want to save it as a favourite so it's easier to acess later on. But thanks nevertheless.

There are countless variations to Jin's combos, just be creative. I'd say it helps a lot to search for combo videos at youtube. A lot of them also show very nice setups and resets.

There you go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLlPdoVd2M0 Now that you mention Astral, is it still possible to combo it from 6D and throws? Edit: The air dash staple is j2C > jC, not jC > j2C as I said in my last post. -

I think so, but I've seen people do the same jB > jC CT BnB with the new jC (air dash jC > j2C > 5B... you get the idea). -

jB is a lot worse, but I'm guessing it's still useful for some situations, and yes, Hakumen's Yukikaze could counter bursts, though it was rarely used. Not sure about the new Astral input, all I know is that it isn't a 720 anymore. There's a pretty good Jin vs Carl out there, and some interesting Jin vs Arakune and Ragna. If you haven't seen it yet and want me to give you a link, just tell me and I will search for it, though you might just try to search for it over youtube. I'm pretty hyped for new jC, it's really good so far. -

No. He shoots out an insanely slow projectile that gains speed (similar to 236A speed) after a while. -

6B is looking pretty promising as well. It would be interesting if we started a combo list based on the videos, there are quite a few with sekkajin. -
Did you try using the Nico Video Redirector? It works just fine here. http://www.mmcafe.com/nico.html I want some decent Jin footage, lol. I've gotten to the point where I just skip every Noel and Taokaka match, I'm sick and tired of it already
-
They are probably playing by now, right? If there's already a few news, I'm thinking we'll have quite a bit of info by tomorrow morning (US)
-
You aren't supposed to do it immediately. Wait for them to barely touch the ground and air dash, or something close to that timing.
-
Don't know if I'm supposed to post it over here, but how do I change the art on a SE (Madcatz)? I mean, what do I have to take out, lift and whatnot? Also, if someone has some cool Blazblue layouts, I'd really appreciate if you could send them to me via PM. Thanks in advance and nice sticks, by the way.

It has been uploaded to Youtube already, here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F93nP9PNarg Post will be deleted if needed.

Watch Tetsu stuff as well. I found out my play style is a lot like his, just not as stable. I also have improved my pressure game A LOT just by watching those. There are some amazingly creative things there, as well as frame traps like 6D > 6D > 5C > 2D > ... Pretty cool (no pun intended).
-
Pretty good videos right there. Is Ren still considered to be the best Jin?
-
^ Happens to me all the time lol. Whenever I think of something creative to do after they tech my purple grab out of corner OTG 2C they end up being thrown.
-
Yeah, I think purple throws should only be used after a 214D > 2C if you feel like resetting (can air dash back in if they tech) or 632146D if you can't follow up with something that would deal a signigicant amount of damage.
-
Really? I've definitely seen your PSNid while searching for Custom Ranked Matches, though I'm not exactly sure if I got to play with you. Sorry, my memory is awful, I don't even know how I memorize combos so easily, lol. If it was a laggy "Ky Kiske Jin", it was probably me... That combo you found probably works, but I wouldn't rely on it for every single character since jD doesn't guarantee you a 214B (or C / D) when the opponent has already been frozen or is not on the ground. I suggest you learn the 5B (2 hits) > 5C > jB > jC > jD > land + little dash > 5C > jB > jC > jD > 214B combo string and make it your basic BnB. It's kinda hard at first, but you'll get the hang of it if you don't know the combo already. As Killey said, it's best to end your combos as close to the ground as possible, thus making those double jump combos sort of useless. It would help if you watched and tried to reproduce combos, resets and mixups shown in Jin combo videos. "Just Like Me", "Cyclone" and "Chasing Lights" are all pretty good and will definitely place your Jin at a higher level of play once you master that stuff.

I know about that, I was just practicing it, lol. As old as it seems to be, I never knew about the whole 2A cross up thing - I'm just giving it a try before I start using it in real matches. But thanks for your help, it really looks like it's not possible to do that vs Quick Tech CPU... it's good to know I'm not that bad at timing.
-
I've done it a couple of times when I knock them down with 3C, but can't seem to get it right after a "grounded" 214B. I'm setting the CPU to Quick Recovery by the way, can someone confirm it's possible at this situation?
