I have surround sound that ends with a 3.5mm cable, so I just swap that out from my computer to my 360/ps3 when I play those. Or I can just plug my headphones directly into the 360/ps3 and use those. The VGA adapter I linked has a 3.5mm adapter for the red and white audio jacks, so I just bought a female to female adapter and extended it with a male to male 3.5mm 5 foot cable. That then plugs into my surround sound so it'll play either xbox/ps3/computer. Whichever cable I have hooked into the system.
