My monitor has 2 inputs it can pick up. HDMI and VGA. 360 is hooked up via the VGA Computer/Ps3 are on a HDMI switch and hooked into the monitor via HDMI. You don't need HDMI, no. Also, I'm fairly certain most LCD monitors lately have VGA and DVI inputs, so you should be good either way. Are you wanting to be able to swap between computer and 360 or just have it hooked up to a monitor?
