I'll take some pics of how I use the stick. One pointer you need to know about dashing is the reset distance to neutral position. I had so much trouble in SF4 trying to dash with focus attacks because I was tapping it too fast and not letting it reset to neutral position to pick up both taps. I had the same problem in BB for a while when it came to Nu's backdash. As for how I hold it, I use my index, middle and thumb to hold the stick. Ring and Pinky are supports on the opposite of the index and middle. It's like a hybrid wine glass, but it helps me with functions like 236236 and 214214.
