You're having the same trouble I did against Bang for a while. His wake up DD is retarded, but you can easily bait it if you're using a 2A or 2B while they're waking up. You'll recover fast enough and be able to block and punish it. Same applies to my Giant Sword DD. Use those As and Bs!
