  1. Wait, you can?
  2. I never said anything about an easy correct answer. But knowing what they're likely to throw out at least helps you narrow down your guesses. If you want to play it safe, you can just jump forward and block, then react to what she does. EDIT damn sniped by toan
  3. Oh and keeping general Lambda habits in mind, as well as that specific player, are important too. That helps me get the drop on my opponent and usually snowballs into a lot of momentum for the rest of the round. For instance, for starting the round, most Lambdas will do either backdash, IAD backwards, IAD airthrow, or 3C / TK Crescent if they think they can fight you up close.
  4. Yeah I was just thinking of that now. Once she gets a life lead, the tone of the match changes. Suddenly she can force you to be a lot more desperate. You do have to be careful about what you throw out, so you don't give her that free damage. You shouldn't do careless moves at full screen and so on, but you should still risk guessing when you get closer. The guesses up close are worth it since you can turn the match around if you guess right. I pretty much end every round with 8 stars, win or lose, lewl I hate not having the options of my full move set with a low star count. Gotta be able to GO IN on a moment's notice.
  5. If you counter her swords, you can punish with Shippu wave full screen. Or just Shippu wave if you see a 6D coming. Expensive though. So yeah, not realistic during the heat of a real match. But just an option. Getting hit out of double jump happens all the time to me too. Lambda gets all that free damage from random stuff like that. :P
  6. Don't worry about her crescent overhead that much. It doesn't do much damage, and if you guess right you can combo her into the corner. It's a bad trade for her. It sounds like you're being too passive on defense. If she gets anywhere near you, you should be looking to hit her. Not mash, but a single poke can let you pretty much throw her in the corner. If she airdashes in on you, get ready to use Kishuu. It'll beat most of her options and get you closer at the same time. Might be a good idea to record a match or something... And at a certain range the matchup just becomes a guessing game. About midscreenish. So part of it, you just have to out-yomi them.
  7. You better get used to it since Haku is going to be camping the snow stage all day in CP.
  8. moar hotaru MOAR He's been doing better against me lately since I've been off my game, but usually I can hunt him down and murder him in the corner without too much trouble. We must find out what you're doing different. And what 50/50s?
  9. psyco all you have to do to beat toan is just go to sleep and mash green throw
  10. All of his buffs just serve to even out the nerfs he got. It's not like they took everything he had in EX and just added on top of it. Pretty much what saved him from ending up in a crater was OD, the meter gain and that one loop. Remember how none of his old combo routes were working? There was the combo route with his Crush Trigger, but it wasn't very good. Now let's look at EX Hakumen. He can get more damage for less stars, and has way more corner carry. He has corner specific combos that hit like a truck, whereas in CP he pretty much just does his midscreen combo. In EX he has reliable oki, in CP the best you have is Agito. In EX he has a lot more combo routes. In EX he still has 6D with frame 1 catch. In EX Hotaru and Tsubaki retain their old comboability. In CP Hotaru is easier to punish. I think he lost something with his 6A too, but I can't remember. Granted, comboable 6B is very strong. I can see myself using that a lot, especially because of the changes to Tsubaki. Getting big damage off counters is good too, but they lost some grab range which has a bigger impact on matchups, in my opinion. It's more important to be able to stop certain moves and discourage their use, than to get more damage off a counter that you were going to land either way. On that note, there's also not being able to catch off projectiles. And Agito is good, but people were getting bodied by it for a while just because it was new. Now you can see people blocking it and getting ready to AA Hakumen on the way down. Basically, in a vacuum I think EX Hakumen is stronger, but their placement in their respective games has them about even. I could be underestimating how strong OD is for his game, but I'll have to play and see when it finally comes out.
  11. see what you did toan
  12. USER WAS BANNED FOR THIS POST
  13. Shouldn't Haku be higher even without 100%.
  14. We don't really see the OD > OOPS I WON method play out in most match videos. So comparing how he is outside of that to EX he definitely seems weaker. Still strong. Just not EX strong.
  15. The matches I saw against Tager in CP looked like he was struggling more than in EX.
  16. I'd say EX Haku > CP in terms of goodness, but we'll have to see for how fun to play he is.
  17. The manga is always better.
  18. What goes through your mind when we do mirrors, Skeletal? What do you tend to look for? I would've asked on your wall but I'm not sure if you ever check it. :P Learning about mirrors is good for everyone anyway. Speaking of that, I noticed that another thing whiffs against you in our mirrors: Normally I'll do 6B, and then follow up with 2B to pick them up if they're not teching. This works against everyone, but somehow it would whiff pretty often against your Hakumen (even though you weren't teching) and then I'd get punished by you getting up unharmed and hitting me out of the recovery. It's just strange. And I don't mean whiff, as in you would tech through it. You'd just be sitting on the ground, and the 2B would just not hit you somehow.
  19. He should change his XBL tag to goodlemon on April 1st.
