You guys are killing my sides. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Part of how I play is the long term; I don't try to focus on winning a single match in particular, but figuring somebody out so they never win again, period. Against Blacktricity I was spending a lot of the set just seeing how he did things. Anyone can win a few matches; real satisfaction is when the other player is so mindfucked that they don't even have hope of winning anymore. When you already have the counter to their next move ready, before they even know themselves that they want it. To be able to condition the other player so that manipulating them is almost an extension of your own character and inputs.
If anything Nemesis is the one who should get also recognized for his adaptability. The last two times we played, I dominated the first time, but then he came back and utterly obliterated me the second time. I was at a total loss. That's what I like about our matches though; there's always another level to climb and another round of counter strategies to exchange.
Right now I feel like it's more the changes to Hakumen in CP that are giving the extra nudge in Nemesis' favor, since a lot of the tools and strategies I had mastered in the past to defuse his own got nuked. It was easy to forget, because against most players it doesn't even really come up with my normal tactics working. Not last time though. Suddenly I remembered that there were actual changes that I had not accounted for. So now I have to rebuild from scratch. But I'll do it.
So Bolt thinks it's not impossible huh. I guess I have something to fix next time.
