Then the Tager you're fighting hasn't gotten enough experience against Hakumen. It's a steep learning curve at first to know how to get in, but once you do the matchup levels out. Trying to "do something" is the problem here. Most of the time Tager should be blocking and looking for his opening. Hakumen's pressure is like swiss cheese, especially against him. Almost any of his normals can be IB'd and 720'd. If you try to play him like a fat Ragna then of course you're going to die.

lol the matchup is like 5-5 :P You just haven't figured out how to get past all of the roadblocks he throws up to slow you down.

Well, I meant others stopping 3C as Tager, so fighting me would be a possibility. :P You have to block a lot though with Tager. A lot of the solutions is to just wait it out and block. Once you block 3C that's the end of his pressure after all.

How do you deal with 3C.

My brother does it to me all the time. It made me wtf, but it's related to the hitbox probably. Also I don't know if it would work if Hakumen is right next to you, but if you do it from the starting range of the match it works. It's -4 on block. You block it and it's a free 720. And then there's always the answer to every Tager problem: backdash. You can use 6B as well if you're close enough. It'll stomp right over it.

I guess you must not have played many Hakumens as Tager since that j.C business is literally all they will do most of the time.
