I never got into GG. I only saw people playing it in high school, where they said it was the playstation version of Smash Bros, and it just looked too weird for me to get into. All the character designs were too strange. I never clicked with any of them. I like how Justice looks though.

It's a long story. My friend who lives in Boston moves to Florida this week, so a week ago (the weekend of the hurricane -- oops) I flew over to visit him before he left. While I was at his house that Saturday, I was at the top of his stairs, which were the super polished slippery wooden kind. It also didn't have any railings. Well, it had the rail bar, but no spokes, so you could go under it and fall off. Naturally I did a banana peel slip at the very top and basically did a ski jump from the top to the bottom of the stairs and did full 6A right into the bottom rail which was basically as thick as a tree. At first I was just shaken and got up and everything seemed fine. Then I tried to put on my jacket 30 minutes later and my arm seized up so we had to go the ER and they popped it back in. But it got put in a sling since there's a chance it could pop out again with it being so soon after the event. Then on Sunday they had to close all the airports and ground the flights because of the hurricane, and the power went out too. So I ended up stranded there for a few more days with my remaining arm until Wednesday of last week when I finally got back, instead of the original Friday to Sunday trip. It was still fun though. Of course the power went out the very instant we turned on CT. I will never be able to convert my friend away from Guilty Gear.

It's just a difference in mindset. The difference between losing and going, "Man, how could I lose, I'm terrible," and "This guy was good, and if I do X Y and Z I could beat him". Just because your self esteem doesn't plunge when you lose doesn't mean you're just sitting back and giving up. One of those saps your will to play, the other encourages you to keep going. I don't even really think of the other person that much when I'm looking at my losses. Like, I don't think "THIS PERSON IS GDLK I WILL NEVER BEAT THEM" I just look at what I did and what I should have done instead and decide I'll do that next time. So it's more based on the mistakes I made which I can fix rather than catching up to somebody who might be infinitely far away.

But then you'll end up crying yourself to sleep every time you lose. Notice that's the attitude all the people who post in the Beginner Mode threads have, and they never can stay with the game long enough to get good. All the good players just go "lol" when they lose.

Nope. It's okay to be beaten. It's never okay to give up.

You should just think of it as anyone who beats you is good.

I still need to play Brice one day. It would be a lot easier to see things in action in an actual match. You guys should lend him an XBL stick and let him use Blade's account. :P I've seen him at majors before but every single time he gets matched up against my brother for a Tager mirror. It's like they want to get rid of the Tagers early. At least, I think that was Brice.

The bar scaled the HP more heavily towards the end of the bar. So most of her HP was there.

I don't get why she would bite him just the first time and not the other times, if it was what was supposed to keep him alive. Didn't she do that to save his life.
