I'm pretty sure you can combo into Litchi's, but dunno about Extend. Bang's at least, is an attack and is unblockable, isn't it? So it doesn't matter if they're trying to bait it or anything. Also, isn't it a parry? So if they attack, they get raped anyway. If they block, they're fucked. They just have to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and it's over, like with Lambda's. With Haku's, if they do nothing they win. Pretty much everyone can combo into theirs except Hakumen, Arakune (?), Carl and Rachel. Actually I'm not sure if Rachel can't, but hers is easier to land with the wind and armor shenanigans.

But I never astral. :P If you're paying attention to the pace of the match though, you should be able to tell when they want to go for it. Like, if you're playing Ragna and want to astral, you just keep doing what you're doing and throw an astral at the end of your combo. Not much changes. If you're Hakumen, you have to avoid following up our combos to keep the 8 stars, and you're going to want them to come to you, so you'll suddenly start playing more defensively. That's their cue to try and bait it.

I didn't say it was impossible. I just said it was the hardest along with Carl. That's a relative statement. If you're going to say it's easier then you need somebody to compare it to.
-
Yeah, but if they're not retarded then they aren't going to just go HERP DERP HERE'S AN EASY MOVE TO ASTRAL. They'll try to fuck with your reactions.
-
Compared to who.

As soon as you get 8 stars (and the astral available, portrait flashing), everyone starts playing more cautiously against you and looks for the counter. You can't combo into it unlike other characters. It's also not an attack that you control but something they do. You have to have the person just run right into it and when you're going for that it's usually more obvious. Also, what you just mentioned about needing the starts to function as a character. People can usually tell when you're not using stars when you otherwise would be.

Haku and Carl's astrals are probably the hardest to land.

calling out skye It moves in a predictable pattern. You just have to super jump and then double jump when it's going to be nearby.
-
I do that and it works.

Why is he talking about fish. What.

I'm always up for games Shin. This guy's taken too many j.C's to the face. He's getting punch drunk.
-
Congrats, Shin. What caused it? Also, you should loan Axis your copy of Extend and let him use your XBL account. Axis must get on XBL and get destroyed, one way or another. It is his destiny.

Lambda's Astral is one of the harder ones to avoid. It's instant. As in, the moment you start it up, they're hit if they're in range. You can't escape it.

Characters? There's your first problem. The characters in BB are too diverse and complex to be able to get good at more than one, at least at first. You have to specialize, and pour all your effort into one main character. As far as knowing your characters well, that just comes with playing more. If he mashes DP, then bait it and punish. If he mashes jabs and such during your blockstrings, then use frame traps. Frame traps are moves that leave enough of a gap that it gives him a chance to try and hit you, but the gap is small so he fails. He just ends up getting hit by your next move if he doesn't block. But you shouldn't get ahead of yourself. Just playing a lot does a lot of good.

Yeah, I hate joining rooms. I just make a room and invite who I want to play.
-
That's usually what the match comes down to.
-
Yeah I'll come in here in the morning at 9 AM just to see him say "GGs, time to sleep."

You were definitely outspacing me tonight. That 5A was ruining everything. And I kept screwing up the timing on countering the 214D. I'm only in real trouble when I'm around 30% life though. That's when one more combo can kill me or you can just hang back and poke me to death. But if I have a lot of life I can take the risks to get in closer. Well, our matches were pretty close. It was just the mirror that was giving you real trouble.

When it rains, it pours.
-
Hah, that purple air grab. I remember when me and my friends thought that was an infinite or something.
-
lolol, so you knew what it was. Yup. I just have to figure out the timing for it. But I just love doing IAD j.2C. How can I STOP Fighting you and Ached side by side is interesting. You default to zoning, and Ached always rushes forward. It makes it hard to predict him sometimes. At first. ;o Nobody escapes the download. But then when you fought Ached you were unleashing some hellish mixup.
-
If you lose to your friend IRL, then beating him is a good start. Also, you shouldn't look at it as a "horrendous lack of skill." You're not SUPPOSED to have the same techniques and experience as people who've been playing 24/7 yet. You have to learn to crawl before you can walk. It's like first picking up a violin and being disappointed you can't play a concert.
-
I figured out how to beat it at least. Too bad I get greedy.
-
dat gdlk lamda 5a GGs Toan, Ached. Man, it was weird watching your matches after I played you guys. Every match you guys had was someone getting massacred. It was the complete opposite of ours.
