You have more time to block than push a button. You have until the very last second the overhead hits, to hold back and block. But to hit them out of it you have to attack a lot earlier.

I want to teach my friend how to do this crossunder stuff. How do you do it, just run up and 2B when they're supposed to tech? And what situations would you have a chance to use it. You wouldn't want to do it in the corner normally since it would put you in the corner instead.

It's not boring. It's TENSE and STRATEGIC. That's only if you zone the entire time anyway. I've learned that it's almost better to get in and deal a lot more damage and go for a sure win. I mean, when you zone, you spend 99 seconds poking at him only to lose it all when he gets in. You can't give him that time. If the Tager's good enough to force me to stay out, then I'll stay out. Of course, you're still keeping at the right ranges and playing footsies.

I just rush Tager down these days and perfect them. I wonder if I could pull it off on you. I use Hotaru way more than I used to against you. I can actually do it reliably now! The difference two games make.
