Before I read the other posts, I just want to add that we might have to give some leeway to the number of entrants the first time. It's not like as soon as this event happens every single netplayer in America is going to show up. For most tournaments, the number of players that say they're coming or that plan to is ten times the amount that actually show, and I bet a lot of people would be unsure if they should spend their money on basically a shot in the dark. For all they know they could spend all that money and end up coming to some major that has ten people showing up. This is something that would build on itself and cause other people who would normally want to come to hesitate, so we'll have to keep this in mind and not just give up if the first showing isn't as strong. You have to build confidence that it's not just a waste of time.

Hmm, a naked Shippu does quite a bit of damage too. Definitely worth it! Unlike normally tacking it on at the end of a combo where it does like 800 or something for 4 stars. That makes blocking Lambda's j.214D amazing.

You guys shouldn't look at entering a tournament only as a means to win #1. What you're really paying for is the experience of meeting all the other players in the community and getting lots of games with folks you normally wouldn't, having a good time and witnessing lots of hype matches.

We could try to change the general FGC's opinions of BB too, perhaps. Maybe be more active on SRK since that is probably where half of them get misinformed. It's not like they're going to look at Dustloop unless they're already into the game. Also, would this "BB EVO" be just BB only, or an anime major (or something else)? On the one hand, we could hog all the setups and extra space for ourselves. But having the attention and hype of other players might be worth it too. Rotating it could work, but it might also lead to people staying home when it's not on their coast and wait until the next year when it's closer.

There's no Makoto on the chart. I don't get the "versatile" axis. If they "have faults" then how can they be top tier. So why would it be a separate distinction.

Why did they want to make bursts faster in the first place? Was there a consensus that something was wrong with them?

I can't keep track anymore. The first match in that video was kind of weird. Chin got blown up. He had both rounds and then he just gave them away with dumb stuff. Purple throw into air whiffing Hotaru randomly, what. Also why did he keep eating Ragna's run up 6D/j.D? I mean, it looked like he was trying to jump out, but why even do that. And then other times he went for a throw and ate a CH instead. Just bizarre. I guess he was trained to throw tech after Ragna's 2B, but there's a significant delay between those, so he could've done a whole bunch of stuff instead.

I heard Toan's brain always turns to mush once Axis gets in on him. :3

Even with jobs, I'm surprised most people don't just go play for free on their consoles. It certainly killed our own American arcades.

So what's the KOF scene like? Is there somewhere where lots of people congregate online (aside from this thread)? And offline.

If Lambda really got dominated so hard by Hakumen she'd have to be like D tier since he should be the one character aside from Tager that she should have the least trouble zoning.

I mean the whole IAD j.A j.B > 2C > j.2A > IAD j.2A combo piece that's involved in some combos. Or maybe it's j.B first. I can get it like once out of a 100 times on Tager, but no way on anyone else. It also depends how far away I am I think when I start the combo. Usually j.A and j.B lands, but they tech before I can land the 2C.

The j.A and j.B > 2C stuff is what kills me nowadays.

Does it? :3 That's one of the things that gives Haku the most trouble. You would probably have to start charging 4C way before you throw out 6D though, which means it could easily get baited.

That was you only after 1 month. But you have not taken into account that I'm always in that boat every time we play. ;p I want to play you sometime again, but you're probably all rusty with Extend now so I wouldn't be able to see if my tactics are effective. As for this matchup, his corner carry ability improved. However, I don't think it's enough to have a drastic effect on the matchup. Either way I'm looking forward to both sides analysis of it once they get their hands on it.
