> would it be safe to say that if you can counter it and hit them, you can enma-counter it as well?
Not necessarily. Gatlings would hit you out of the Enma followup, if they're fast enough, while the counter grab wouldn't care and hit them anyway.
The grab for all counters is 6 frames. The Enma followup takes 7.
But that is not what matters most. What matters is that the D grab is invincible all the way through, and Enma isn't at all.
I never got that. When I played the games the first time I thought Ragna couldn't kill him because the lifelink wouldn't let him, or that it would hurt Noel or something. But then Relius comes along and does it anyway. So why didn't Ragna just do it and get it over with.
No. Ragna just goes "I'M NEVER GONNA LET YOU GET AWAY WITH THIS, I'M GONNA FREAKIN KILL YOU" after Nu dies to just walking off silently five minutes later after he wins.
If you IB 6B you can punish without getting countered. Or better yet, just throw if you are close enough.
His counter range got nerfed so 5D will whiff, but he can still get you with the Enma followup.
Barrier blocking against Tsubaki makes 3C a lot more viable midpressure.
Oh and j.D isn't as effective anymore because it requires a minimum height to use. So you almost have to completely guess that Tsubaki is going to 2C rather than waiting for the last possible moment. But Agito is still an option too. (It also hits mid.)
At first I was like "whoa what, his Tager is harder than his Tsubaki." dat first match
I don't think it's worse. You just have to adjust to the changes, like me. Lack of command grab hurts though.
I need to play more Tagers and Tsubakis. I only played Errol before this and I haven't played Tager at all.
