  1. Noel's is pretty good before she realizes the truth.
  2. Also she was going blind. And it sounded more like her faith in the NOL was shaken by Jin and Noel. So she didn't have the NOL as a crutch to fall on, and she didn't have Jin and Noel anymore either. At least til the Imperator came.
  3. The imperator part made sense; she got driven to into a corner, then the imperator shows up and gives her a way out. She latches on like someone drowning at sea. So the Imperator was clever in waiting for the right moment when she would be weakest to show up.
  4. stay mad
  5. Nah she just charged blindly after him and got bodied. I like Jin since he has the most internal struggle going on, it is the most interesting.
  6. I like Jin the most so far.
  7. The part where he captures Noel will be heavily animated.
  8. in other communities i can understand but FGC? wry
  9. Pacumen special guest referee.
  10. It's not like the character has to be in story mode to be selectable.
  11. It would make more sense if he was a ghost originally and that body that got destroyed was not his real one either.
  12. Why did he happen to get a spirit then? It's not like anyone else just turns into a troll ghost when they die or get killed by the Black Beast.
  13. Which one is that.
  14. VERSION WARS I actually liked CS2 Hakumen. Although it is all kind of getting hazy. But I remember the main issue he had was no midscreen ability so you spent all your stars to get them in the corner, but you needed the stars for the corner combos. Still, he had solid normals and hit like a truck in the corner, and 6D was lol since it did no damage but was still 1f. ALSO: did everybody start picking colors yet? Mine was easy as usual. Or do you have a favorite color from the other games?
  15. What combos can you do off a normal throw or raw AC? Can't find in OP.
  16. Baiting DPs is like playing poker. You have to convince the opponent or at least bluff them into thinking that it's too risky to DP, and that they should block. And they will try to do the same to you, making you scared to attack. A lot of it comes down to the player you're up against. Some players will back off and play it safe quickly, so you get a bigger opening to attack. In those instances, you want to push your advantage. And then some other players will never back off ever, and in those cases you'll have to bait more. Your job is to figure out what kind of opponent you're up against and adjust to it.
  17. I'm surprised you're surprised. How come? Also the change that you and others are touching on is basically that he lost a lot of his freedom. He is still good, but good in a very narrow, restricted sense. Before you had room for creativity and he was versatile enough to let you choose if you wanted to be a zoner, rushdown, that kind of thing. Now you are pretty much funneled down one path. Compare his reliance on OD and such with Mu, who can set up steins 1000 different ways, for instance. I actually made a chart last night to show dioxide what I meant. This is completely random and made on the fly so the values aren't supposed to be accurate so much as to show the gist of it: In EX the values would have been more balanced across the board. Anyway, I'm not trying to stop anyone from having fun with him. If you are starting Hakumen in CP and this is what you know, then you can have fun with this style. But the reason players who used Hakumen for a long time are dissatisfied is because we experienced the other ways he could be played. And there is also the fact that his primary style before was mainly defensive, which is another turnaround. For now it's just a matter of accepting his current style as a given and doing what you can with it.
  18. What do you have to deal with?
  19. I was replying to this. Didn't realize it was already 2 pages back. Such posting. Much activity.
  20. Blade and Skeletal Minion, I agree 100%. Also I'd discourage using 3C for frame traps after 2A. It's -12 without IB. If they block it you are gauranteed to get bodied. It's better to use at max range during footsies.
  21. No wonder you were asking if I got my hands on him yet. Also to touch on Skeletal's post, the new normal changes take some getting used to. For instance 6a is way more risky. It's -4, so if someone blocks it you are instantly on defense. I ate Ragna 5b every single time I tried to do anything but block after it. So you have to play around that kind of stuff.
  22. Yeah if you noticed, I was just going off basic footsies and 3C. I don't really have OD or a lot of his new combos down yet. And 5D being holdable keeps screwing me up. A lot of times if I just tap it, I would be fine, and be able to recover if it whiffs. But then I'm always like "BUT I CAN HOLD IT..." and then I get CH'd.
