  1. I just started screwing around with Arakune in Challenge/Training lately and I'm loving it so far. I'm stuck on Arakune's Challenge #6 though. Specifically, the part where the D bug is supposed to hit the opponent right after the pinwheel (j.236C). I tap D as soon as his j.236C connects, but the D bug always comes out behind Arakune and my opponent. When should I release the D bug? From the demonstration, it seems that the D bug starts hitting the opponent as soon as it appears on the screen. The problem is, I always end up summoning the D bug behind me for this part rather than in front of me. Any tips for timing the D bug correctly after j.236C? Thank you very much in advance.
  2. Yeah... I can't seem to find out when I can start recovering, so I developed a bad habit of mashing A. Should I just find out when the earliest time I can recover is and get rid of my habit? I practiced a little in training and found out that I can hit the 5A after the BnB about half the time, which is pretty decent for now, I guess. I plan to practice the dash 5A until I can get it 100% of the time. In some of the later videos, I ended up doing the 2A 5B to air combo about 2-3 times. I guess I should do it more often. For the air combo, what should I do? When I can get my opponent with a 2A during their forward/backward roll, I usually continue with 5B, j.A, j.B j.623B, land, 5A, 5B, then end with j.A, j.B, and j.623B. Is it better to use j.C as an air combo ender? Also, do you recommend doing 3C after the 623B in BnB? It kinda sounds stupid, but against acrifolia, I was able to either: A.) Hit him as he falls down if he refuses to recover. B.) Hit him with 5A/2A as soon as he recovered as I ended up right in-front of him after the 3C, allowing me to continue the pressure. I tried doing that combo today in training and found the dash between the 623B and 5B to be difficult. Should I start dashing as soon as 623B connects? Also in general, is it good to add a poison nail at the end of air combos for more damage? So far, I usually add the poison nail at the end of j.B -> j.C -> j.236A or the throw rapid cancel combo. Yeah... I rarely get to practice against other players, so for the most part, I'm working on learning new combos and rarely anything else. I try to low block by default and try to react to overheads, but I'm usually too slow to react to them or my opponent simply runs up to me and grabs me. Will facing more people increase my reaction time eventually? I've been getting slightly better at pulling off 2369D with the pad so far. Bang's pressure-string usually starts with either 5A, 2A, 5C, or a command grab, right? I think we had one ranked match with each other. I can't remember if I lost or not, but I think it was a good match. Yeah... That's the biggest problem I have so far. I'm way too predictable and I fall for the same tricks over and over again... After these 5 matches, I learned that forward/backward roll is the best way to deal with Bang's pressure... which I don't think is the case. Blocking as soon as getting up sounds like a better plan overall I think it's important that I get the 2369D motion down before I worry too much about high/low mix-up for now. But I'll definitely keep that in mind the next time I go online. Thanks. Unfortunately, I think that's the only thing that got my Bang to level 39. : / Which combo did you pick up from me, by the way? Just curious.
  3. Uh... I wasn't sure where to introduce myself to my fellow Bang players, but I guess I'll just do it here while posting my Bang videos. I started playing BlazBlue online early August of this year. BlazBlue is pretty much my first serious fighting game, with my only previous experience being Tekken 5... being very casual. Since I don't have an Internet connection at home, I mostly practice combos and never really work on my defensive game, which I think is the biggest flaw I have, along with predictability. I do play online about once a week, for a period of 2-3 hours, sometimes more. I'm level 39, but I don't think I deserve my level at all as I mostly play Ranked, since I'm unable to find anyone to play with for the few hours that I'm usually online. But I think action speaks louder than words, so I'll post these videos so that my Bang can be critiqued by superior Bangs from this forum. I would like to apologize in advance that these videos don't have the greatest quality in the world. Also, it'll take about 30 minutes to watch them all, which is me selfishly asking you guys for a lot of time out of your days just for some good critiques. So I greatly appreciate and thank each and every one of you who would watch my videos and give me suggestions. These are fairly recent, so I would say that I'm more or less the same as I am in these videos: Sodelic (Bang) vs. Neo-Geass_R2 (Ragna) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jy3nmpKj7WY&fmt=22 Sodelic (Bang) vs. gummymummy (Hakumen) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pp8E3Ro1EaU&fmt=22 I think the next five videos show how my Bang needs a lot of work a lot better than the above videos. They were all from the same day, against the same person. About 4 days ago, actually, so I'm fairly certain that the skill (or lack thereof) that I show in this video is pretty much the skill that I possess now. acrifolia (the guy who I fought against in the next 5 videos) and I main and play Bang, but his Bang is obviously superior to mine. So I thought that a mirror match against a superior Bang would hopefully make my flaws more apparent so that I may improve. Sodelic (Bang) vs. acrifolia (Bang) Part 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlQTabbJtFs&fmt=22 Sodelic (Bang) vs. acrifolia (Bang) Part 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDZef01esqE&fmt=22 Sodelic (Bang) vs. acrifolia (Bang) Part 3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_a3wnJCs9yA&fmt=22 Sodelic (Bang) vs. acrifolia (Bang) Part 4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-x5RLkdoij8&fmt=22 Sodelic (Bang) vs. acrifolia (Bang) Part 5 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6pYqGubFPs&fmt=22 From watching these replays, I've learned that: -I need to learn how to deal with oki pressure better. I almost always used either neutral tech or quick recovery and seldom used forward/backward rolls. I also never blocked upon getting up, which led to me getting hit by acrifolia's cross-over j.4C or 2A, sometimes even the command grab. -I need to learn how to keep pressure on the opinion better. As of now, I'm incapable of pulling off Bang's 2369D nails constantly (I can only do it less than half the time...), so my blockstring has a lot of holes in them that anyone can pretty much exploit. As of now, I'm only doing 5A -> 5B -> 2B then usually either going for a j.4C, or stop and looking for another solution. -I need to learn how to block crossover attacks and blocking upon recovery. -I am really predictable. Usually after Bang's ground BnB that does 2.2k damage, I almost always go for the command grab. Fortunately, when I play Ranked or strangers, they rarely expect this, so they almost always get up as soon as they can, which leads them to fall for my grab. But against people I know or people who adapt quickly, I seriously don't know what to do after the 623B in Bang's BnB. I sometimes try to use his j.4C and even a 3C, but I believe that there are better options. So... can anyone help my Bang out? I was able to figure out those mistakes that I've just mentioned by watching my videos, but I'm sure there are more. I realize that there are many videos, (it'll probably take 30 minutes or so to watch them all, which is... very long. ) so again, I sincerely want to thank each and every one of you who decides to take the time to view these videos and give me advices.
  4. :( It's okay. If you go down, UJatR and I will also go down, along with 2-3 more people.
  5. Will we use the S button during it?

  6. SKD... I love you.
