  1. I wish I read this earlier. I had to fight Unlimited Plat in Abyss mode and lost due to bomb rain.
  2. Plat's frame data is out it seems. http://dustloop.com/guides/bbcs2/frameData/platinum.html
  3. What's not good? And why wouldn't you use the bat? And is there some secret, hidden awesomeness in Plat's 6B?
  4. Excalibur isn't that good against people who know what they are doing. But it is amazing against people who just started playing. And it is nice the hammer loop builds enough meter for the 5C->super ender.
  5. 3501 without 5C->super 4925 with 5C->super
  6. Yes it is. When you have matches like this, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMtkckiy63w, you would also think Excalibur is amazing. The 3rd and 4th options on the last page lets you control which of Plat's items you get. The 3rd option is the first item she gets and the 4th option is the second item she gets. After you use the 2nd item, you will get the first item again. It is handy so you don't have to keep resetting hoping to get a certain item.
  7. Are you super jumping? He would have to yomi your 5A in order to 360A. A single backstep doesn't put you in negative penalty You should always be barrier blocking or be prepared to IB whenever you are in the air There isn't a single safe option to get out of gadget finger. You have to take a gamble.
  8. Just to add to above, super jumping after the first jD->5C makes it easy for you to be high enough for the 2nd jD to hit correctly.
  9. I can attest to that http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKbsV6VEKpw#t=4m33s
  10. There is more to Lambda's zoning than just her D-swords though. But this isn't really where such a discussion should take place.
  11. 214A works on everyone. You just have to delay it for some characters. Don't need to delay 214A against: Platina Carl Tager Ragna Makoto Valkenhayn Mu Hakumen Need to delay 214A against: Bang Litchi Taokaka Noel Jin Rachel Arakune Tsubaki Hazama Lambda Of course, given the 214C always works without delay and seems to work the same in combos, you should probably stick to 214C
  12. You can do the hammer loop off of either 214A or 214C so I would assume it doesn't matter which you use. Unsure if it matters for more advanced combos though.
  13. You pretty much have to hit with everything at the max height that it is possible without it whiffing. On a different note, can anyone tell me how to get 214A to connect in the 5C->236B->5C->2C->214A corner combo on Jin or Noel. It keeps whiffing on them. And does it actually matter if you use 214A vs 214C?
  14. I can actually got that working.
  15. Does the corner 5C->236B->5C->2C->214A->ender combo work on everyone?
  16. Wow. LK's advice is making you 10 times better? Care to share this amazing advice?
  17. But Goro still manages to win tournaments with a character that has at least one 7-3 matchup. I have to disagree with this. If you just switch out your character any time you have a bad match-up, you are going to be less proficient with your character than someone who doesn't. And learning bad match-ups would help you when you are dealing with even or good match-ups. Then again, I just hate the whole counter-pick strategy, so I may be talking out of my ass. Are you sure that isn't just character specific? I never get hit by DPs when trying to punish forward rolls. And while i agree that back roll midscreen is too good, at least it has a downside of putting someone towards the corner, which you can use to your advantage if you are the attacker sometimes. I'm not trying to insult you or anything, I just trying to understand your arguments.
  18. So how do you win match-ups that are 7-3 or worse? There is only so far playing 'smart' will take you if you are against another 'smart' player. And why do you single out BB like it is the only game where being random works?
  19. Because being random and taking chances is something only scrubs do?
  20. The videos were taken down. Just download the viewer itself and check it out http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?9050-BBCS-Hitbox-Viewer
  21. So you can't IB 623B and 2C fatal counter him? How do you handle IB->backdash? I don't really like using 2D to punish it and would like a better way to deal with it.
  22. Have you tried asking him what his gameplan is? Once you know what his approach to the match-up is, you could try to find a counter.
  23. I'm not a Mu but a good first step is to look at his blockstrings and figure out if you can backdash/punish something.
