  1. You could just grind through Story Mode for Kagura - pick the first option at every choice and you'll get the true end. That'll allow you to get a 1000Y card instead of a 3000Y card, at least.
  2. I got her, but being four hours away makes it at best hard to get to AA, and I work all weekends so I can't make CCs. That, and I'm the primary organizer for Boone, and our sessions are also on Fridays. Kokonoe is pretty fun though.
  3. Took them all of ten minutes to get back to me.
  4. DLC is almost always version-specific. Games were DLC works across regions like AH3 are a very small minority.
  5. In case there's anyone in Boone who doesn't know about the local group of players, we're also meeting tonight; 5pm-11pm. PM me for more details.
  6. A sizable number of them are from each character's Arcade Mode ending.
  7. Air-unblockable ground normals are a great thing, and not unique to BB - Melty Blood does the same thing with no barrier to get around being guardcrushed. They make chicken-guarding an unattractive, amongst other things.
  8. Having ordered several things from AmiAmi before, yes, that is normal. They will send you an email when they have a copy of the game to ship you and take your payment then.
  9. Controller-wise, your two main options are a 3rd-party PS3 controller in the style of the Xbox 360 controller, like the MLG controller (different dpads there though) and modding a 360 controller to work with PS3 (which Gummowned will do for $80). Netplay wise, PSN netplay and XBL netplay between the same two people on the same two connections feel almost exactly the same. The reason people like to say PSN lags has more to do with all models of PS3 having integrated wireless than anything - playing over wireless adds a ton of latency.
  10. Are you 100% sure? I have both the Japanese and US versions of AH3, and my colors DLC works regardless.
  11. There's no magic fix for execution. All you can do is practice till it feels right. For 421, try learning some of ABA's Goku Moroha combos, maybe? They'll be useful come +R, so you might as well. f.S 2H 421H IAD j.? 41236S \/ (~stuff)
  12. Yeah, I'm hoping I can make it out to more tournaments down the road. I wish I could make Carolina Clash though - I've been learning I-NO and it would be cool to be able to get some tournament experience with the character.
  13. As a Millia player, I can confirm that this is the case. It would be the same with a BB-style "hold button to repeat input for X frames" type input buffer though; just input early to go into the high option or input at the current late timing to FRC on hit instead. Such a buffer would also make online play smoother. I'm indifferent about it overall, though; FRCs are not hard, and some characters hardly need to use them at any level. Plus, adding such a buffer would make ridiculous things possible with frame 1 FRCs like Jam's 236P has; inputting [2 buttons]~236[P] would allow her to freely return to neutral from any grounded special-cancellable state in 1 frame. Since we're talking about them, one input simplification that would absolmake a lot of sense to include would be the "hold 6 to dash out of an RC/FRC" thing that P4U has. 6RC6 and 6FRC6 would still work so old players wouldn't have to re-learn how to (say) do 5K HCL 6FRC6 j.S VCL, but new players would be able to learn it more quickly.
  14. I'm back in Boone - I got a job here, though I'm still really broke right now. In any case, the chances of me being able to show up to anything in Raleigh anytime soon are unfortunately pretty slim.
  15. You can't say that at all. With some moves, you explicitly have to RC rather than FRCing to go into optimal combos. Also, the smallest FRC window in the game is two frames, guys. Yes, there are some tricks and links which require one frame timing, but if all you're trying to do is FRC you have at least a two frame window.
