360 pad player, perhaps? O:

I'm pretty sure winded tech's still in. Unless my memory is failing me, some of the other videos have Rachels using winded techs. Good to see more Rachel vids rolling in. Good news, though. 6B > 5CC confirmed to still gatling, courtesy of that Lamda match.
-
edit: hahahaha, smileys show up through the spoiler tag. awesome.
-
Ah. Enjoy the ride. At least you won't run the problem of getting stuck in traffic forever. :P
-
I have no money, haha. @Chao: Are you driving up?
-
Man, Chao, everyone's bumming at the PNW house during NWM. Talk to Spark, Plastic, or C0R. They just keep on taking in more people.
-
Chao's so lucky. If this had gone on for just a few more hours, lolis probably would've won. XD
-
I'm pretty entertained that lolis is almost tied up with the top two options right now. Almost. So close.
-
Even that much would be nice. I haven't seen it normal gatling at all yet. edit: for reference, Lamda v Rachel and Ragna v Rachel matches have 6B > 5CC.
-
Lolis needs 3 more votes to randomly win! :D

Which video exactly? I looked through every match in this post and didn't see it used a single time, so we're probably looking at different posts: It's not a big change, really. The damage from the combos generally only seems to have gone down by around 400-500. It just makes it harder to pick up combos from crappy starters. Rachel already has some of the best corner carry abilities in the game, I think it's probably fair to make it so that she can't both carry from greater than midscreen and get a lengthy BBL combo off of it that ends with full wind regen and double oki.

I clicked into NVG to see what the poll was about, saw an option for lolis, and failed to help you in any way whatsoever. \o/

It shouldn't be that uncommon. This is the exact reason that we're now wondering if 6B is only special cancellable on CSEX or if players are simply, for some reason or another, failing to gatling out of it on block into any other normals.
-
The main reason it comes up as a question is the old CS1 problem of "If I accidentally hit 5BB, does my combo end there?" And yes, I've yet to see it in frog combos (though we've also yet to see 4B in frog combos) or anything outside of what I mentioned before.

Polka brought up the question of whether 6B was still viable for anything outside of CH poking, and I realized that I haven't seen it used outside of pokes and 6B > 236A. Does anyone know if there's a video where a Rachel uses it for something like 6B > 3C or 6B > 5CC? I'm assuming that Rachel players may be too used to jump cancelling it at the moment, but from videos like the one in Rhannmah's post, where the Rachel spams 6B all over the place and never does anything afterwards (except for 236A, like, one time), it seems to be a question worth wondering about. Fortunately for me, I still don't use 6B very much in blockstrings outside of 6B > 236A. Force of habit from CS1~.

Man, that video.

I'll try to show up to watch your awe-inspiring face whenever you're airing. Seriously, though, glad to see this is getting off the ground. Partner status for that quality option would be really nice (240p is actually viewable via android phones, and I think jtv has an app for iphone viewing), but I fortunately do not have poverty net, so 720p+ is fine by me.

I haven't heard that it affects airborne A moves, but that sort of usage of j.A is fairly uncommon, so who knows. I'm somewhat doubtful that they'd limit aerial chaining of j.A, though.

She could do up to something like seven or eight 5As in a row and still be in range if the opponent didn't barrier block. Upwards of ten or more if they instant blocked. This isn't something you'd typically do, mind, but it's still mixup in the sense that after 10 5As, the opponent doesn't know if you'll gatling into 5B, if you'll dash in for more 5A/2As, or if you'll use 6B, jump, or anything. The only things you actually become out of range for are TK swallow moon mixup, 6C, and j.2C. Anyway, it's not a huge difference for most people, I hope. If 2A and 5A had both counted towards the same usage limit, it would've been a much more notable change. I'm sure it'll still throw someone off when he/she tries for something like dash 5A>2A>5A>5A>2A>5A and end up just standing there on the last one. Since we're all agreeing that it's not a big deal, we can probably just move on from this topic.

You can still combo on CH, from what I understand, but I don't have any video proof to back this up at the moment. If you have a pumpkin out, you can also use the pumpkin to allow you to combo from 6B mid-combo, as well. If you're talking about pure ground blockstrings, it's still possible to do that by simply using 5/6D during your blockstring. However, there's not much you can by staying on the ground for an entire blockstring. Not only is 4B limited to one use per gatling, but 5A and 2A can each only be used 3 times in a single gatling. Even in CS2, Rachel's strongest mixup was her 50/50 instant overhead and low, the former of which even led into a fuzzy guard setup and arguably another 50/50 if blocked. Trying to keep your blockstrings limited to ground-only moves is handicapping yourself. If you're talking purely about ways to approach the opponent, Rachel shouldn't be greatly changed. Get George in under your opponent, get some lightning rods on them, or use the pumpkin to cover a ground-based approach. The pumpkin is nerfed, yes, but we're not entirely sure of how bad it is (was it even reduced in level?). In the videos shown so far, it still works fine for approach and oki, so I see no reason to assume it will be significantly worse in CSE.

As Lumin said, it's a mechanic in CSE. I should stop referring to it as just the 'next game' and be more specific. Sorry about that.

I'm fairly sure that j.2C is only special cancellable on hit. Refer to this video (18minutes, 2 seconds) to see why I say that. Rachel obviously attempts to do a pumpkin summon on the blocked j.2C, but fails and lands into a 4B instead. Probably the same reason you'd consider special cancelling something like 6CD into 214B, 214C, 236C, etc. Different types of pressure, pulling tools out in unexpected places, all that jazz. In any case, I don't think this will matter, unless j.2C is actually special cancellable on block (unlikely). Barrier goes away significantly faster in the new game. Rachel's wind allows her to continuously jump back in and continue pressure for as long as she has wind available. She's never really been able to do much with pressure without wind, so I'm not seeing a large change in the way she's played. If anything, I'm still wondering if characters like Tager can punish 2C if they barrier IB it, seeing as how it's a level 5 move and Rachel will go flying away from the pushback. edit: Also, the pushback on block only matters if the opponent is blocking. When you land a hit to go into a ground combo, it doesn't matter how big the pushback is, because they aren't blocking.
-
You really shouldn't be using too many of them in the first place, but some people employed the spam to push their opponents around on the screen or make their opponent question when they would dash forward or cancel into other forms of pressure. In the current game, you also have the threat of continuing to 5A/2A on your side. In the next game, if you do 3 5As, your opponent knows you can't use that move anymore unless you insert a gap (dash, jump, wait, etc.) in your blockstring. That said, 5A and 2A can apparently each be chained 3 times before you can't use them anymore, so 5A>2A>5A>2A>5A>2A and other variations of that are still possible. It's not really a big deal. I just figured I'd mention it if people hadn't realized 5AxN is gone.
-
Double 6A combos are out, double 6C combos are in? I wish. :P That said, Plat's 5A/2A endless pressure is largely going to be dead in CSX (as is everyone else's), so hopefully everyone's already used to mixing things up without relying on 5A spam.

Hm, lobelia whiff is still in? I'll just use that, then, for high BBL combos. Anyone remember if B/C lobelia got recovery nerfs? I seem to recall reading that somewhere, but I don't remember if I read that or if it was something more like "only A lobelia remains unchanged" or what. Ugh. Might've been bad info, for all I know.
