  1. I don't know about the others, but I chose Rachel as my main because of her character design (though her CT playstyle is fairly awesome). If her playstyle changes, at least I still get to have the same lo--. Now, if they suddenly made her into an adult, then I'd be really annoyed. Anyway, it's sort of hard to say how things will change, at the moment. I mean, it's still possible to cancel j.2c into 214b for the pumpkin (though it's apparently slower to come out, now?), so air combos don't seem to be taking too large of a hit outside of the loss of j.2c -> j.c. If they actually nerf out j.2c, I guess there'll be a lot less rushdown and a lot more pumpkin and seeding going on. I'm assuming that's why they added the aerial Sword Iris, sped up the aerial BBL, and made it possible to activate the poles before they fully form. Doesn't really explain the pumpkin nerfs, though. The frog speed nerf barely effects me, to be quite honest. If I toss him out randomly, it's just because I want him to be between me and my opponent. I don't really care too greatly exactly how fast he moves towards them, and as the frog combos still work, it's hard to complain. The timer is a bit irritating, seeing as how it's no longer possible to combo back into a frog from a frog->super, but meh. I can live with that. I do wish they hadn't nerfed BBL's base damage and made George pro-rate it to nothingness (300 damage from a BBL, really?), though. Mostly, I just want j.2c to cancel into something useful... though, if they give us some better zoning stuff, I guess I'd be okay with that, too. I'm just addicted to j.2c. Somewhat related, but does Rachel fall during her aerial Sword Iris, or does she just hover in place? Was wondering if it'd be possible to cancel into it from j.2c near the ground. I mostly have no idea what I'm talking about, here, but it would be awesome if someone would humour me~. /if anything seems weird, blame it on the fact that I have yet to sleep. That's sort of the impression I have of Nu's changes. I'm still going to sub her (and Bang), because her actual playstyle hasn't really changed.
  2. Your avatar's been bugging me for a while... I keep thinking I've seen the character in it before, but then I don't actually remember where. Gah. Mind telling me? :P

  3. I can never seem to get the post-dash to work, while the pre-dash almost always does. If I can't do the dash 22a version of the combo, I just resort to 22a IAD j.b j.c j.236a. I'll give the post-dash another shot, though, and see if I can get it to work. Also, the first 'combo' (because spamming 5cdc is a great way to open a combo) I learned was 5cdc dash 2b 5b j.b j.c j.b j.c j.236a, so I'm way too used to doing 2b 5b after dashing. Makes it easier for me to deal with Nu and Carl, but harder for me to remember who actually can be hit into the frog from 3c. You should be able to do the 236a after the first hit of 3c after letting the stick go to neutral. Not sure why it isn't working for you. In any case, just keep in mind that going to the second hit of 3c will screw up some combos on certain characters. Interesting to know that 23c6a works, though. Never really thought of that. As for 5b 5cdc 236b dash 6a 22a -> sj air combo, I'm assuming that's a distance specific thing, too. I've had a lot of people tech out of a 236b dash 6a on me, before, but I don't really know if I timed it right or not, either. I'm thinking it might be similar to 236b IAD j.b j.c j.236a, (doesn't involve 22a) which won't work if they're too far away.
  4. Eh, haven't noticed much whining over there, honestly. I play Nu, too, and I don't really mind her changes. Her playstyle's largely the same as before. Combos will take a bit of work to figure out again, but it's still a lot of juggling. I'd actually like to know that, too. Might not make too big a difference if they didn't nerf that, though, seeing as how the frog prorates BBL insanely hard at the moment (unless they changed that in the third test or something).
  5. I want your avatar image~. /whine~

  6. Lots of people have issues with that input. If you're playing a controller, input 3c21236a, and it'll go through. Feels a bit weird, but otherwise it reads the 2 in 236a as the second 2 in 22a. If you're on a stick, just let it go to neutral before inputting the 236a. It's one of the few inputs I find much, much easier on a stick (after all, I'm a controller player, trying to swap to the stick). Personally, I have a lot more issues with inputting a dash 22a after 5cdc 236b without dropping the combo.
  7. Yeah, that was why I guessed it was her new DD. Strange thing is, I'd heard it wasn't very damaging to begin with, so I couldn't really wrap my mind around the concept of lowering its damage value. Guess it's one of those things where I can't really take a stand until I see the numbers involved, though.
  8. I think we might've had enough nerfs at this point, really. In any case, though, can anyone explain this to me? I don't recall there being a 236236C move, unless that's her new DD? Info from here.
  9. I learn so much stuff from reading this. xD Great job, kro~.
  10. I'm definitely looking forward to it. Totally random, but I happened to notice this typo while reading (I'm such a grammar nazi... sorry):
  11. One of the loketest info threads mentioned that melee BBL does 2200 damage, now. Not sure if that's still true in the latest loketest, but I'm assuming it is. The fact that the BBL only did 300 damage or so at the end of the combo is fairly... impressive. In a bad way. Probably just me being blind, but I'm not actually sure what you're referring to?
  12. Good point. I hadn't really thought about it, but if it doesn't have any worthwhile stun on counter anymore, I don't really see much point to using it, either. I'm wondering how the whole j.2c nerf and j.a not being a high hit anymore will be dealt with, as far as mixups go.
  13. Admitably, no one's really sure how to make any good use of the new DD, yet, but that doesn't mean it can't be useful sometime down the line. 4B is nice. Mid-air Sword Iris is reaaaally nice, though, as mentioned, that's mostly because everything else got nerfed to heck and back. Even if they don't give anything else but j.2c back, I'd be far happier than I am with her current restrictions.
  14. It would seem not. That said, I haven't seen the more powerful forms of TD, yet. So far, I've only seen the one and two-wind stock versions. Not sure if the more powerful versions will be worthwhile, but... if so, it'd still be quite hard to combo into it without using wind.
  15. Ah, I see where you're coming from. Anyway, I'd be fine with them nerfing out a single bar of wind, too, but I don't really see that happening at this point. It... does seem that way. Perhaps the pumpkin has a timer or something on it, now, to help alleviate the fact that Rachel can't summon another one while it's out? Not sure if that would be a good thing, though, really.
  16. Somehow or another, I seem to be unable to follow your logic, here. By removing a wind bar, Rachel would be further broken, compared to how she is now? I'm guessing a misread? xD Also, at the suggestion, I'm not sure taking away a wind bar would really nerf her very much at all. The most I tend to use in any one go is 3 bars, because I dislike having no wind in reserve. If her wind meter were reduced to three instead of four sections, it'd be annoying, but certainly not stop her from being a frightening character to fight against.
  17. A couple of the videos (can't remember which ones off the top of my head) have players comboing into TD from various knockdowns, but it doesn't really look all that useful at the moment. Not sure how tight the timing is for those combos, either. TD is cute, but I'd gladly give it up if we could get a little bit of an un-nerf on the rest of Rachel's moveset.
  18. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this isn't true. If it's the final loketest, then, well... Won't stop me from playing her in CS, I suppose, but it won't feel the same.
  19. Good Lord, kro, this is an insane endeavour. Good job~! I'll be taking full advantage of it as you put it together~. >:]
  20. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they'll increase BBL's damage a tiny bit. Seems like any proration just nerfs it down to almost no damage (though it still does 2.2k for a melee hit, I think?). It could just be the frog that's doing it, of course. Edit: Also, any news on whether j.2c can be cancelled into 214c?
