  3. Bad? Like, non viable, not fun tier? No, johnny is the lowest but he's still way more than viable. Chipp is great. Fun as hell.
  4. speaking of that, morrigan gets new shit in mvc3, including shit like some of her air attacks(supposedly not just shell kick) having a bunch of hits so you have to switch to low right when she lands. also, her mobility is much improved in ways that help her mixup. this makes me more hopeful everyone in mvc3 will be overpowered. morrigandash almost makes me want to play i-no. plus, i-no has that nice projectile. regardless, i think i'd enjoy venom a lot more if i played guilty, i-no feels fairly awkward otherwise.

In addition to parry, makoto could play a different sort of punisher against things like whiffed normals with level 3 5d, shit is 10 frames(Not sure if this includes the charging? i don't think it does, but still fast as hell, plus she backs up when she does it), fatal counters, and has nice range. you could also make them scared of applying pressure if they block it with shoryu. also: 236a dash in 2aa tick throw~ also her j2c is a great move. seriously.
  6. Ah, I know what you mean. I had a lot of fun in CT playing a parry-heavy haku. (Block rachel, block rachel, block rachel, ah, 5+ magatama? Parry, 5k damage~) I think losing parry comboability can be a legit change since it shits on characters like noel so hard(frame trap? nope~) much like a shoryu(then again, maybe i am just "prejudiced' against "parries" because lol garou. plus, he could already only get like 1200-2300 without heat off parries), but I can see how it would upset someone who is used to a parry playstyle.
  7. I think 8D may be overpowered(though, it does have hella startup) but I agree they shouldn't remove air unblockability because unblockable resets are way too cool.
  8. ffha, what, the combo changes in the loketest? you should know better than to care about supposed combo changes in location tests. "oh no, changes to things like 3c, litchi's comboability is gone." nope plus some shit like "slower magatama recovery" doesnt say how much nor if it's like ct->cs where his neutral recovery was slower but his attacking/blocking recovery was faster, plus shit like that could just be totally misgauged. also the yukikaze and 623a changes are fantastic and the opposite of bastardization real men don't get concerned until they're confirmed worse than ct bang. real talk but yeah, some of the stuff is weird, but it's generally a good idea to ignore stuff about comboability and shit considering that changes soo much between tests. some property stuff like anima getting hyper armor is interesting though (alright now jump so i can j.b or airgrab you..)

  11. hand crafted goodness, inspired by things like qwerty's old hilarious deejay avatar kof13 footage in the last 2 months has been dominated by k'/raiden/kula/elisabeth/kyo/benimaru/andy/takuma, but then again I never did an actual youtube search. i'll look for kof13 stuff next time i am about to make a video post. Awesome! I was planning later this month to ask everyone to list details like general availability for smaller meetups, main, games played besides BB, and stuff like that. This is a good start. soon the front post will be pro as hell

Saki is a kicklord with a flash kick, multiple charge motion attacks. Kira is the game's grappler. Saki has Gier/dark arcana(which is the one that is sort of carl esque) though she doesn't use it much. Kira is using Metal arcana, which gives a deployable shield that absorbs a hit(or 2/3 if "leveled up") and has its own collision box(corner pressure!!) and it also gives a sword special which you can set where it goes by pressing a direction after 236E(Holding 6 makes it come from behind the opponent, for example.) Metal can increase the power of its specials(and your attack and defense) with a charge up super. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RytRad_k8F0 Nice haku vs carl match. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWYCKAUtzPs Zenia(Dark arcana) vs Konoha(love arcana). I really don't like konoha's character design but she is fun, first match is quite good. This video shows off dark arcana decently. Also, IIRC dark arcana's attacks can be delayed like litchi's staff fling. Also, the konoha player uses guard cancel dash quite well. Second fight has the zenia vs angelia with..ugh, luck arcana. Luck arcana's dice oki is cool but the random passives are stupid and I'd probably softban this like most of japan IIRC does. Still, the angelia player is nice, lands some good air grabs.   15. ps ronin if you or whoever can host any meetups the next 3 weeks for you denton/arlington/fort worth/willing dallas players, post so i can add it to the front post Awesome. I'm going to host BB meetups these next 2 saturdays from like 3 pm to 7 pm, so you're welcome to come to those. I could have sworn longview was more like 1.5-2 hours from dallas, but whatev. PS3 stick is no problem, we usually have 2 ps3 setups and a 360 setup. I assume you play Hazama, judging by your avatar? also, unless your internet is just really bad, i find that restricting ranked searches to connection quality 2 or higher and restricting to same region really helps. i still dont do online play though much aside from playing with friends who want to do a long series of matches. some texas people here like zreb seem to play online on ps3 fairly often, so maybe that would work and wouldnt be laggy, too. but yeah, welcome~ if you care, we'll probably end up playing kof13 and ah3 when those come around, too.   18. i like how anyone is horribly concerned at "omg my bnb is totally gone" especially when it's characters like hazama who people thought was shit for a while until they figured out combos. i am reminded of them removing pivotal litchi combo stuff during CS loketests and her ending up just fine in comboability.
