  1. Yeah, it seems quite good. Nice zoning, nice rushdown, nice assists, though I'm really not impressed with the default assist. Alvin will bring his PC when he comes so we can have a PC setup for that(and other fighting games for/emulatable on pc like touhou) and the 360 setup for BB.
  2. Alvin(noface122) just left. Fun stuff. Played BB some(though alvin is still fairly new to the game), got some play with mu against a real person in. After that, we played vanguard princess on his comp, which was surprisingly fun. I'm not normally a big fan of non-GG style games, and thought VP's rather cluttered foreground was annoying, but I had a lot of fun with it. Meaty projectile assist+good rushdown and pressure=awesome. Game also has exceptionally good sprites, and is fanservicey as hell lol. Also, TONFAS fucking shit every other post on this page is mine i blame how busy every else is.
  3. Well, Cheebz hasn't told me a time(or confirmed today, really), though rave might not be able to come, Rave said he'd be available after 5. Anyway, you said you'd be unavailable from 1 to 6. If you could be here at like 6:00-6:30, then we could do BB for about 1.5-2 hours. I'll stop by 8:30 though. Edit: Correction, rave told me a time before.   6. Ronin won't be able to make it tomorrow, so just Rave, Alvin and I apparently. Hope you find your 360 stick satisfactory rave. I don't have my converter for ps3/ps2 controllers yet btw alvin(Aren't you used to ps2 pads?), so I guess you'll have to use my USB 360 pad :1..

Will anyone bring a ps3 and tv(Probably should have 2 setups for potentially 5+ people that day anyway) or will there be 2 sticks around? By the way, I have mu unlocked, and I'll probably have all the dlc characters bought on day one, so you could try them out at my place in the future if you're not sure about buying them. I also wont be as busy this weekend as thought. Anyone wanna come by for an hour or two saturday/sunday?
  8. I'll probably play KOF13 at least some when it comes to consoles. May play Guilty seriously if it gets a 360/ps3 port.(Venom!) When AH3 comes out on consoles I'll probably get that even if it means importing and buying a ps3, because fuck yes arcana system. i am a 360 pad player solely by virtue of being a cheapass btw looking into converters for the convenience of small meets. it seems converters either -lag -are $60+ -dont work with sticks i have a ps3 to 360 converter coming which is lagless but may not work with sticks.

  10. Kamui does well, if that's what you're asking. Tier lists are quite compressed, game is surpisingly well balanced due to universal options like homing dashes, the way meter works, and arcana. Not gonna be optionless and fucked like tager. There's also Zenia, Clarice, and Elsa, if you want non-loli characters. There's also Mei-fang if you can tolerate that sort of fanservice.

  11. She has decent mixup and crossups. Not bang 5c 6b shenanigans but not bad at all. She can gatling J2C after JC and it can crossup. The simple fact that they have to block for a good period means she gets to throw out whatever she wants without being scared of IBing. Hell, if they counter assault early in the laserbounce, she's at least back to neutral. ...you're not going to land a grab when there's a laser hitting you during it. especially if she's not actually right next to you when you block the laser on wakeup, or she's off the ground doing 6B. also, mu has good anti airs. it won't be impossible or anything for her to get hazama or tao blocking on the ground and go into a knockdown combo. Hell, if they tech far away it is still possible for the 236d from her horizontal stein setups to keep them there until she gets over there, at least, so they have to eat some pressure. She could charge her 41236C to break 3 guard primers(doesn't take too long), timed at the end of the lockdown if she wants to avoid the lasers wasting guardcrush, so that's something she can do instead of mixup. Don't get me wrong, it may very well be 6-4 or something, but it isn't like hazama/tao will just be slipping out of her hands forever. Her jc is a decent air to air, too.

They can deal well with her normal laser shots which aren't that good and are just to help her get at optimal range, but hazama and taokaka's drives aren't going to use them to escape with invincibility through her meaty 236D. Shoryukens and hakumen's frame 1 counters can beat that on wakeup, but Hazama/Tao's drives won't help them on wakeup lockdown. 236d = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1f2oyMig3c#t=0m18s It ignores her being hit, so it can interrupt pressure and combos. It goes from her body to her oldest stein to her newest one, then out of the last stein.(Toward the opponent?)
  13. Keep in mind AH3 is about more than "lol lolis." Imagine that you could take hakumen and give him a triple jump, double airdash, quickfall, boomerang projectile, and projectile super. The arcana system means you can really change a character's gameplan completely. Imagine it as if you could choose your drive in Blazblue. Hell, there's a magnetism arcana.   15. Heroic Legacy says Tsubaki's 236 allows her to punish Mu or at least get past the laser's target area when she tries to set lasers outside of knockdown. I think he might be right, too, since the lasers certainly don't fire quick enough to stop shieldrushes or some IADs. It's not like Hakumen's 4c void attempts which you should be able to always punish due to the laser's delay if you just limit yourself to one stein. Though, perhaps Mu can stuff 236s consistently and make Tsubaki respect laser setups. Most of this is still up in the air. 236D may be able to let Mu punish excessive sledging.
  16. Yeah, exactly. If you limit yourself to one stein at a time instead of two, you can definitely hit him with 6C by the time he could cut the followup laser.
  17. While hakumen will hurt her approach, she could time 6c to beat 4c, unless there's a void near him obviously. Her best bet is to set up steins in an optimal fashion for 236D, wait for the void to go away, get knockdown, then use her laserbounce special for oki. You overestimate how good the lasers are for zoning. While the 236D laserbounce will be good for keeping arakune/hazama in control, it consumes the stein, has a path they could possibly evade, and has significant startup. Better for oki when it comes to characters who can get up really high really quickly or teleport through stuff. The normal laser shots aren't that great. Tsubaki's 236 series is apparently quite annoying for mu. edit: underestimate is a pretty poor typo for overestimate.
  18. While 6c isn't useful if he's close to a void, its projectile property won't matter if you space it so that it's at his body instead of his sword hitbox. There appears to be enough of a delay between the stein deployment and shot for her to stuff 4Cs with 6C. The lasers may not be useful if he just blocks them and the 6c, but at least that way she can set up steins in an optimal fashion for 236D for when she does achieve knockdown, or to help put hakumen in pressure when he has whiffed something.
  19. Like Skullgirls or MvC3, I'll only start really caring when I have reason to believe the mechanics/character gameplay designs are good and interesting. We'll see if this separates itself aesthetically, though. I do like that girl's sword.

  22. Regarding 6C's safety, I saw in a video that Mu can special cancel it into 63214C, which appears safe unless blocked point blank. If not, then at least you can threaten them with that to make them wary of punishing it.

  25. Reports indicate that it is not good. You'd probably be better off playing Soul Calibur. It's hardly Samurai Shodown. Hopefully SNK picks up the act with KOF13. Seems like it so far.
