  4. American Valks? uh, iirc there's "TheBiter" or something like that. For japs..I dunno. I know there's really good japanese valks, but I don't know them by name. Valk forums may have a decently updated video thread. (litchi forums dont have decent video thread updates.. I should fix that.) Yeah, his mixup is really, really strong. He's also interesting due to some of his nice normals in normal form and his crazy mobility in wolf form, and tricks involving transformation and stuff.(He has one trick where he transforms, airdashes, and then untransforms but keeps the momentum so he can fly at the opponent with an attack..reminds me of arcana D D tapping a bit)

BB Loketest is a little more interesting this time IMO, so here's some more important notes: Remember, this is another loketest and they do weird things and we dont even know what loketest changes stay and which dont(Burst=25% meter gained is gone now), so take these wtih a grain of salt, but: AWESOME: Barrier costs more meter and takes longer to start recovering, but instead of adding a fixed amoutn of pushback, it depends on the attack level of moves. This is sensical, simply increasing pushback was weird, but having it more costly and dependent on the move makes it more logical. Probably not as good against stagger pressure, and whether or not the increased knockback on strong attacks is good for you depends on who you're fighting. (Example: Will probably push bang's 5b more, which is good for you because you want bang out of his ideal range. However, will push lambda 6c or litchi 6a/6b/6c/3c more, which put them in a better range to fight you. So barrier can be more potent, but it's also less braindead.) "Throw - Throws have been altered so that the whole cast can follow up after them even from midscreen. Depending on the character, following up after with a dash or special cancel may be possible. Compared to the current version, it's usefulness as a midscreen damage source has been improved." Oh man, Oso's gonna like this I bet. For Carl: "Nirvana - Overall gauge costs reduced. Gauge depeletion from repeated uses increased, and the amount of time before recovery starts slightly increased. To sum it up, it's now easier to use in combos but with a longer wait for gauge recovery. Step (refers to his dash I believe) - Improved utility, moves farther during the jump. Can now also cancel into normal attacks in the first 6 frames." Also, another translation says that the nirvana gauge recovery is faster. (even if time between use and recovery is longer) Jin: "2C - Revolver action changed: route to 5C removed, route to 6B added. Hitbox area straight above Jin has been enlarged, and it is now head invulnerable during the attack." i wish 2c5c was still there but 6b gatling and more head invuln is cool "2D - Vertical hitbox improved, easier to hit with after 6C" Noel: "Revolver Blast - Damage increased. Jump action resets when rapid canceled." yay useless move maybe being more useful Rachel: "6C - Damage increased for using wind to land multiple hits." lmaoo yes!! i always wanted massive silly 6c wind combos to be legit Tao: "C Neko Makyuu (C Kitty Litter Special - Ball) - Startup slightly sped up, now removes 1 guard primer" dat bowling ball Litchi: "2B with staff - Added revolver action to 6C, 3C jD with staff - Landing recovery time shortened, making it easier to attack after Staffless 6A - Can't emergency tech on air hit" OHHHH YEAHH!!!! Hakumen: "Heat Cooldown after Specials - Changed from 180 frames to 90 frames jB - Air untechable time increased, can now j2A during the 2nd half of the move Yukikaze - Faster startup, easier to follow up on hit" Ragna:"Hell's fang has less recovery" This could be really, really scary. If it's like -1, he could use this in neutral and strings a lot more and the rekka followup will basically make it better than -1. If it ends up being + frames, then ragna's been hanging out with Tyr Arcana. noel silencer has repeat proration now. thank fuck Tager: "+3C Special Cancelable, Air Untechable Time Up" oh baby also tager mains reallllly like how 5b 5c is a combo now, i guess for more reward off jabs? You cant chain more than 3 jabs in a row now. So, jabs that are + frames probably have more meaning to them than before in comparison to other characters. (plat's 5a is +1, but it doesnt matter that much since rapidfire 2as will work similarly without + frames in a lot of situations) Lambda: "3C can be followed up on counterhit" niiice Hazama:"-236236B Gauge Cooldown increased" hahaha yes Mu: "j.B now has a longer hitbox" WHAT THAT HITBOX IS ALREADY MASSIVE AWESOME Weird: "Using a CA reduces your max primer count by 1 (for only that round). It's a useful tool for turning the flow of the match, but using it too much increases the danger of being guard crushed." oh..uh..ok Litchi: "Staffless Attacks - Hitstun reduced, attack chain sped up" Hitstun reduced(Not attack level? Same on block, just hitstun..?) is sad, but..attack chain sped up??? Are her staffless attacks faster, or..only faster when gatling'd?! So strange Carl: "3D - Changed from force standing to ground bound" What's ground bound again..? Haku: "Kishuu - Becomes head and body projectile invulnerable after a certain amount of frames" ..it was already low profile, why would it be head invuln as well? That's redundant. Mistranslation? Projectile invuln is cool though. "Shippu comes out faster, but follow-ups deal less damage" how fast are we talkin Litchi: "Staffless attacks have less hitstop" Oh? What is this, noel's drive? Strange. (hit stop is hit freeze iirc, not hitstun) Hazama: "-236C now only throw invincible" hmm, it was kind of cool how it was invuln before Plat: "Air Persia now has projectile invincibility during the pogo movement" Interesting.. noooo mom: Litchi:"Ground Sangenkyaku-Chun(followup vers.) (Three Dragons: Red) - Blowback changed to throw the opponent a large distance sideways" i will miss you, 236a 236c dash 5b. you were a cool link. at least i still have several months to do that combo :P Tager's B sledge is only even on block now, but the charge makes it harder to IB. Also, they change tager's sledge 30423904093290432 ways back and forth between loketests, so lol, not gonna give a shit about sledge changes until its in the final product. Mu: "Only Level 3 and up Furu no Tsurugi removes guard primers" WHY "-Barrier gauge usage when only 1 primer left has been lowered" awww. i love guard crush. oh well, they'll have less barrier overall Lambda: "+2C has head attribute inv" NOOO i hope the window isnt huge all glide throws are gone still. whyyy
  7. Aww, why do you hate them? They're another good complex character~ I didnt like them before those matches, now I want to play them because they're used decently in that footage. I see. I was wondering about that..thanks for the input, since you've watched more than me.

YEAHH!!!! sadly, i must report that i cannot host this weekend, or attend. part of that is to make sure ill be able to attend TBF5 if you want something to blame, you could place some blame on the fact that i didnt study enough german over the summer. another week without litchi or arcana or random fightan. heartbreaking. i starve However, we should all plan to come to TBF5 and get a bunch of BB/Arcana/PS2 casuals in there. Pfhor, dont you guys usually set up melty/ah3 at TBF? All else we should need is one other setup for BB and we'd be pretty well off frigid if you're hosting this weekend, tell me and ill text people for you next time i get to see you at a meet i will teach you as much as i can. which is everything but combos. challenge mode is pretty good for that if you can actually play the game btw, thanks for the godsgarden stuff. extremely sad does friday count as "during the week", i may be able to do some of that later down the semester

  17. 4/10 on the subject of dreammatches: i wonder what's next? as in: 1)even if console kof13 does poorly, will snk still be up for kof14? 2)would kof14 drop any characters in 13, or would the price of making new characters and simple fucking logic(THIS ISNT THE 90s/EARLY 2000s) stop that? 3)would they keep it 98/2002/xiii style, or change up the gameplay?

  25. I doubt it. Considering the time between KOF12 and KOF13 is the same as the time between KOF13 arcade and console, new characters more fit the bill for how fast they make stuff.
