I dont think pandora mode will be a problem UNLESS you can hitconfirm into it, because it doesnt last very long. It is a lot more like a high stakes gamble(LIKE FUCKING HOKUTO ZANKAIKEN'ING YOURSELF IN EXCHANGE FOR METER) than a comeback mechanic since you have to kill the enemy in 7 seconds.   2. I disagree. It really depends on how strong ex moves are. I mean, if EX moves help give you really strong mixup and really strong entry moves like EX Yun Lunge Punch, then Pandora mode could make them really hard to keep away from you and block properly. It's more of a "Hm, they have 40% hp on their point character, i'm going to pandora and try to fuck his ass." Big gamble.
  3. Heihachi and lili look really fun. Rolento looks about expected. Pretty pleased with that. Not as worried about pandora now, since it doesnt last long. Risky. I just hope you cant hit confirm into it, and things will be fine.
  4. Except being a better game means its more fun because shit actually make sense and there is more depth and likely more fun due to more choices and balance of such choices. A badly designed game is not fun beyond a superficial level, the more you play the worse it gets, unlike a good game. The only reason anyone would like CT more than CS2/CS1 is nostalgia and tunnel vision. Tunnel vision lets you enjoy or hate almost anything. I was hoping you would produce some actually reasons to prefer CT. Instead, more blind nostalgia. Well, at least I tried to get you to produce some substance. No, he has acted several times like CT is better than CS without any reason, lol. Nostalgia is not what he said, he imagined some scenario where people sign up for CT's setup of characters and system and dont like the changes, as opposed to "hey, fresh new anime game lets try it"
  5. since you have a boner for revisionist history I agree that Hakumen's increased passive meter gain and higher damage fit him and added fun to him. However, here's the difference between you and me: I dont act like those two things mean that CT is better than CS1/CS2 despite the shitty burst system, guard libra being retarded, balance being terrible, many character like tager, ragna, bang, litchi having blatantly worse designs, rolls being stupid, retarded chicken blocking, many more normals with hilariously huge recovery like haku 3c and ragna 5c, etc etc etc. None of this shit is even close to made up for just through hakumen's damage and meter gain. The game not only had shitty character balance, but shitty system "balance." Being the original doesnt mean shit. You might as well act as if everyone wants to play the original Guilty Gear or SF1. Nobody wanted a bad game, despite how much you want to imagine that CT had something magical about it. The only thing that made CT special was: 1)Hey, new series! Fresh! 2)Wow i'm new to fighters and have no idea what's going on! It's like some show or game you liked when you were 6, but you watch/play it again and realize it was ass. If BBCT was the only thing we had today, the community would be dead as fuck, no matter how much you want to spread your fantasies that everything was a-ok with CT.

  7. Unlimited meter means you are probably going to do an assload of damage when in pandora, and depending on your character unlimited EX moves could be really obnoxious. It will probably be much more risky than x-factor though, and level 3 xfactor's damage/speed boosts are argueably stronger depending on character, but we'll see. We can only hope you cant use it in the middle of combos. excited for this, at least.

  9. 2/10 anyway, homing doesnt even have much to do with the nature of "here, choose a second "character" that adds to moveset and gives you passive properties," the rest of the arcana system doesnt have much to do with the concept dat flexibility i do not understand what you mean by pointless

  14. Lupinko said SF X Tekken will have more characters than UMVC3. AKA more than 50. They've only shown 26 so far. Online training mode is cool. Being able to play "real" 2v2 as in, when you tag out another player is playing on your team, is cool. Scramble mode will be fun for silly brawl-esque nonsense and maybe getting used to cross assault. We'll see. Regarding pandora: But yeah. I also think it is meant to give players a way to start learning with just one character so that entry is easier. I'm pretty much just worried about 1)Cross assault being broken 2)unblockables dominating mixup/meter use 3)capcom being capcom and doing dumb shit with characters Otherwise, I like the cast and it's more my type of game than other capcom fighters, so i'm cautiously hype.
  15. It's probably for people who dont wanna learn both characters at once, to ease people in. Sort of like Skullgirls single character option, which will probably end up bad in the long run due to assists, red health, DHC, etc unless the way damage scales is just absurd. Otherwise, yeah, it gives up cool things like tag cancel, so I dont see much strategy in it.. Good points. Despite whiny haters, i am cautiously optimistic for this. It's not as conservative as SF4 or as insane as MVC3, and the game invokes a lot of character love, and things like tag cancel are really awesome, and i like that alpha counters actually(at least, in one build) have no invincibility but reward you with a juggle. High reward but potentially smart defensive mechanic.(depending on how fast they are) I just hope capcom doesnt fuck it up. Main worry is if the mixup or meter usage revolves around unblockables or if the cross assault ends up broken...or if capcom just does typical stupid shit with character movesets.

  18. oh boy news let's see do i still want this game http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUCsKLU8RY0 yyyuup still do I've watched as much footage as I could find and i never really got this impression...eve and maybe dusk seemed stronger than the rest but not overwhelmingly so, and there was lots of rushdown, good pressure, etc. but I didnt actually play this game and nothing ensures that what i watched was decently high level footage.

  20. assuming the "leak" is true, i was hoping "new characters" meant "new characters" and especially not "hey another takuma/kyo" even though i want old kyo oh well. game will still own and there's plenty of good characters.
  21. disgaea 4 and cladunx2 are funnnn cladunx2 is $20 isometric action rpg on the psp, very fun, the level designs get pretty fun, and it's pretty addictive, and since it's 8-bit you can customize your characters' faces and weapons and stuff. Any specific game? Just be quick on snapping back to 4/1 or whatever direction you need to charge in. After you start a jump, immediately go back to charging. If you can do an attack as 4<button> instead of 5<button>, then do it. just try to return to those locations as much as possible. Also, some games have little tricks..like in CVS2 IIRC you can only roll forward, so you can charge while rolling. In KOF13, when you start dashing, you can hold 3 to continue dashing, so you can charge DPS while dashing. I've never mained a charge characters, so i dont have much else to say.

I might play some Oro in 3s. nash didnt respond regarding saturday on srk i would like to see woof or dances saturday but probably wont happen since they have said nothing second setup will either be brought by supaa, or we'll pick up boombox with his second setup.
