Ronin can't make it either. also SHOUTOUTS TO BOOMBOX'S USE OF KAMUI'S PARRIES and shoutouts to nazuna's zoning again, lmao so i heard sf4 shithead said this game is all rushdown ill make your mspaint MVC avatars tonight probably, frigid. oso's will be next once i clarify his team again also, i really like the teambuilding aspect of mvc3, it's enjoyable in a different way from arcana selection. also my BnBs as morrigan/ironman are sweet. morrigan's is [jumpin/5c/whatever] 5b 5c 2c 6c jump (slight delay) j.b j.c j.e land 5b 5c 5e jump j.b j.c j.e land 623AB OTG for 410k iirc, 300kish without the super OTG, but the combo generates enough meter for the super. the 5b 5c before 5e dont add damage due to the game's funky proration, but they do add nice heat. ironman's is <whatever> 2a 2b 5c 214a wait 2b 5c 5e jump j.b etc j.e etc i love comboing into 214a and picking up with sweep after it, so good. similar damage to morrigan's, a bit more maybe sdjkdsjf MEANWHILE, SENTINEL: 5b 5e j.b j.c j.e land rocketpunch super for like twice as much damage and the only part that takes anything special is you have to delay that j.b a bit. very fun combos. hopefully i will do them more reliably next time. also, gradually getting better with lilica's pressure and combos, though still not near as good as I want to be at it. YOU GUYS BETTER FUCKING BE HYPE AT THE MEETUP FOR ME

definitely going to be playing morrigan and ironman. really unsure about my third. will probably randomly choose between the following tomorrow: -dante(nice assists, fun) -felicia(unbrockablleees and nice normals and stuff) -dormammu(zoninnng and dark hole assist) -hsien(nice assists, very interesting playstyle, just a bit strange for me...) -zero(he fun) -phoenix(projectile/anti air assist are p good, and lol wait till i have 5 meter than tag her in) -viper(overhead assists, some fancy stuff, 8-way airdash, tits..i dont like how she plays that much though, but i think i will definitely mess with her more later) -chun li(lol jump cancel airdash, and also meatkick assist) -captain america(shield slash. that's pretty much it) -sentinel(loleasy, big fucking robot, nice assists) the game is less crazy/free in some ways than i thought it would be, and moreso in others. it's pretty fun and i think i will "casually"(aka no really serious combo practice, though i do know some nice ironman and morrigan bnbs that are pretty reliable) play it over a long period, especially if interesting characters come out for DLC(striderrr), but it won't be my focus. but yeah, tomorrow will be fun!

i'm interested in it due to the fact that it's an examu game with assists, but i'm not particularly impressed by footage so far

Played some marvel today, messed around. Shoutouts to easily unlocking 2 of the 4 locked characters with just some training mode. Pretty positive impressions, though the characters who were in TvC lost some TvC things, like morrigan used to be able to do 44 66 for some really nice mixup/mobility, but now she can only dash once...and iirc she can't do stuff like 5b 2b anymore, though other charas can..strange. Morrigan is definitely much stronger than in TvC though..lol cancel whiffed DP into flight mode, or cancel DP into flight mode to combo out of DP! Bunch of other stuff too. I guess i'll make a more detailed post tomorrow. Definitely interesting. Some very fun characters. They definitely nerfed a lot of flight modes in terms of how long they last, though. The voice work is pretty good, got about half english, half japanese voices for the capcom side. Plus, you dont need to beat arcade mode to unlock that ability to choose, haha. Iron man is a lot of fun. Didn't realize sentinel's "NEUTRALIZE" laser was his 5c, ahflawhfkglsdhgl Forgot to test advancing guard. Also, fantastic boobs.

I haven't played yet but I was worried about that when I saw a zero do something like 2a 2b 2c or something and then got hit between the 2b and 2c.. also, how easy is advance guard? can you do it on reaction to small hits, lolll? that guide on srk acts like you have to predict timing to do AG right.

I have both a PS3 and a 360, so I can use my 360 for BB/Marvel and my PS3 for Arcana/DCLess BB, but beyond that we'd need a third console. I just wanted to make sure we had a TV planned ASAP since that's what's generally more lacking than hte console. And yeah, always bring your own stick and preferably a spare. I wouldn't judge a game based off just fighting online/CPU/training(though training mode can give a lot of insight into the gamme), have you played it offline with Frigid and such? I'm still cautiously excited about it. Doom being able to airdash and dash cancel so much shit is awesome. Looking forward to using shit like Sentinel assists. At the very least, I should have fun doing combos in it. though "cautiously excited" doesn't mean "won't yell like crazy when i see someone use astral vision or something"
