I'm going to post up a multiple color chart option in a second. Let me know which number / color combination you like the most. I'll -try- to offer more than one color, but it really depends on how many pre-orders I get before I send it off to the printer.

Something I managed to work on today. I'll be trying to work on some others soon.

I had a random thought involving this old flag, but from here, it's all very vague. http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s307/MSimon6808/dont_tread_on_me.jpg The Lord DIO, I think I would go for the original idea you had, involving the Ouroboros design integrated into the shirt, more so over the direct reference to Hazama. If you removed the hat and just had a simple snake / dagger combo, how could you make it look awesome? http://www.maskedclothing.com/ Has some awesome examples of daggers that look dope as hell. >:3 Keep it going! Circuitous, can you send me the original for that logo you have? I can try to work on it when I have some free time, unfortunately tonight was somewhat of a waste... Eirei, I'm not sure if that design would be usable at this point, unfortunately. It's just too close to the Michael Jackson original. It's really clever, though. If you manually edited the majority of it, it might be salvageable. :C I don't mean to be so negative. It's just really hard to explain. :C

I see! I might be able to work on a revision of it when I get home. :3! I love the awesome look of if.
-
Yeah, you could probably get away with it. :3 Cool! I'll hold onto one for you. :3! I can't wait to see what you guys come up with!

Yes, this is the critique I'm looking for at this point. I feel the logo stands on it's own. I will be fixing up the text a bit, I need to spend more time on it to give it a more professional look. Also, I will go ahead and fix up the hands when I get a few minutes tonight. If there are any other ideas, let me know. :kitty::kitty:

Well, I'm certainly no lawyer. I try to research the questions and ask my lawyer when I need to. I have a personal interest in anything ouroboros related (not just Hazama), and I think the symbol is very good, and can be made into anything. Go ahead and do your sketches, I can't promise anything, but we can always refine it and possibly print a shirt with it! :D Hey hey, no emo stuff here. >:C Art is hard work! Just because it isn't 100% perfect the first time doesn't mean you can't just rework it a bit! Keep your head up, soldier~!

Don't get discouraged so easily! This is the trick with creating art; how do you explain a concept in an original way, without using copyright protected pieces? There -are- ways. And the more clever and subtle you are, the better the shirt is. This is an example of a completely original piece, and it's absolutely brilliant. It has some things that a shirt needs to be awesome. - The idea is instantly translated to you, the viewer, in under a second. - The style keeps to the rules of screen printing; which means that it can be printed without being extremely expensive. It only has about 7 ~ 9 colors used; while that is incredibly high for a standard piece, but it is still feasible. The less colors you use, the better off the design is, unless it just absolutely needs it. It's really, really sketchy/legal grey area. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/02/10/arts/design/10fair.html is a good example of vectoring an original piece that may not offer any protection. The best option is to have an artist hand draw something, and vector that in a similar style to the original. If you can't draw, I can find someone who can. That's what being a business owner is all about; making things work, and hopefully not drown in debt. Triumvir already made a "FUURINKAZAN" shirt in his SF collection from last season (http://triumvirstore.3dcartstores.com/FURINKAZAN-TEE_p_314.html) . However, I don't think it had anything to do with Bang. This is an avenue we could certainly try to go down, because kanji makes for good design, generally. If you can get a calligrapher to do the characters with a lot of personality. American Apparel's #2001 (the standard for them) only goes up to 3XL, and I have no idea how they fit; it might be a bit snug compared to most 3XL's. However, I can probably get one printed if need be. And that design can be reworked into something original, yes. Ultimately, we have to figure out one or two designs to clean up and make final. So, throw out crazy ideas that can be associated with Dustloop. If you have an idea for a specific style, post it up. However, I will try to offer as much advice as I can from what I understand of legal stuff, and from a design perspective. Personally, I think the ice car idea is really good, and can be reworked into something fun and subtle. The one Circuitous posted is pretty cool too, but it needs to be remade from scratch to relate more to Dustloop. It would be more of a stylish grunge design in my mind.

One big no-no is using in-game sprites. I want to avoid that as much as possible, because of the legal ramifications. So, if we're going to use any in game references, they will have to be redrawn to become original. I will offer girl sizes if I can get enough for the minimum. American Apparel has female versions of their popular shirt, so I'll talk to my supplier once we're further along. :3 Thank you. :D So far, it's not all that popular, but I'm glad someone enjoys it.

I'm insane, and started a company that sells t-shirts to fighting gamers. BROKENTIER - Printed in the USA. The shirts are soft, and feel great. 100% Jersey Spun Cotton makes you want to hug it all day. - I have sizes ranging from S ~ 3XL. We have a size for everyone! We use unisex shirts! - Has a screen printed design on the collar. No more itchy neck business. - I ship the NEXT DAY, as long as I have the stock Delivery so fast, it might be in fire when it arrives. Pre-orders can sometimes take a while, but I try to keep customers updated on it! We currently have 6 designs available, but we're always expanding! So, please post your ideas, and let's work together to make amazing shirts! If your design gets chosen, you will get a free shirt, and possible other goodies!

Alright. I'm going to make a new thread to discuss the t-shirts, and keep this one to keep working on the logos with. Edit: Okay, so what can we change about the logo I came up with to make it better? Any suggestions?

I'm loving the Kagatsuchi 500 concept. I'd love to work on a cleaned up version of it. Also, I'll try to get in touch with Trag and discuss possibly making the DustLoop shirt. Continue to throw ideas down for t-shirts. I'm really picky about concepts, so the more, the merrier.
-
Thank you for the compliments on the AHVB shirt! Yeah, I do own a t-shirt business. I would be happy to print a design if I can guarantee like 15 preorders. I would like to do a collab one day with Dustloop, but the designs are the hardest part; I'm extremely picky about what I would allow on a shirt. Also, you have the whole copyright issue with just about anything gaming related... @_@ Worked on the logo a bit tonight. More feedback? I primarily worked on making the text a bit slicker. Gimme ideas.

;~; I wish I could show up to this. I wouldn't be able to show up until 5PM Saturday, even if I drove as fast as humanly possible after my work shift. :C

Alright, I will be working on the logo tonight some more, polishing the Sol one up. My goal is to make it look as awesome as the KOF XIII logo. :D

That robot is a straight up punk >:c

man you guys may have won the BB tournament but i completely DESTROYED the winners cube game
-
I'm headed to Nor Cal today, so I may not get the logo anyfurther along until Monday. Just a heads up!

I don't think that the logo needs the .com It'd be the same if Shoryuken put "SHORYUKEN.COM" on their front page. If you're at the site, you KNOW the name of it. Not only that, but if you're new to the fighting game scene, you can just google "dustloop" and find out more information. I'm not trying to bitch out and not re-do the logo, just some constructive points to create a simple, clean logo.

I like #2, myself. Just making variations to get peoples heads thinking.

Disgustingly ghetto, haven't even done my patented "brushy magic" to Ragnya yet. I only had a minute or two before work. However, I'm doing this to get a general idea of the location to put things.Throw more ideas at me. I don't want a complicated logo; I want something simple that can be used for promotional reasons, or for the website itself. Another thing to keep in mind for the admins primarily, is that this is all vector, so you can scale it infinitely or shrink it down and adjust it with no loss of quality.
