  1. Oh yeah, I forgot, these are flyers for norcal. Good point.
  2. I could throw together a flyer.. I mean it wouldn't be INCREDIBLE, but it would convey; Arakune You MONEY WON EVERY MATCH WON Blazblue CS Date Place Isn't that everything? Lol.
  3. Scott; I base almost nothing on my own experience, when speaking about characters. I use Japan as my measuring tape. Alex, you only stay at 1 primer if you burst twice, because that is your new max. Primer break is not broken, nor does it even happen often. With IB there is always a way out of 4 primer breaks, and 2 or 3 are free with barrier.
  4. Lmao scott. Ragna is one of my best matchups. I didn't say "holy shit his mix up unstoppable", I said it was very good. No reason to make this personal, since that has nothing to do with the matchup. As for carl speak, I agree that Carl's pressure is very different from Bang's and Litchi's. Bang and Litchi have a hundred ways to start it that Carl doesn't, that's his biggest problem. But once it gets going it can be very hard to understand where to get out, and I agree that being a Carl main would help there.
  5. If Ragna's mixup was that bad, people wouldn't get hit by him so often and he wouldn't be S tier. Don't be dense.
  6. I don't think his mix up is easier to block at all, but if you do block it, unlike Bang and Carl, the pressure stops, usually.
  7. That's like saying "You only have to try to pass someone's guard if you want to do damage to them"
  8. Yeah, I definitely agree there. Bang, Litchi, and Carl don't have to take risks nearly at all for pressure. (Carl has to take risks elsewhere though, and taking hits badly doesn't help)
  9. He would be high risk if his combos didn't generate enough heat for an RC every time.
  10. Both S tier, but one always has meter and everything becomes the same combo hmm But seriously, there are a hundred arguments for either being "less thought based", but there's no way you're thinking harder than I am.. I'm the Dacidbro, who did you think you were talking to.
  11. You play ragnaaaaaaaa As for Hazama chain pulling, you're right, I somehow attributed a hit being a combo to also a block being pressure. My bad. Jayakou is still godlike reversal with IB. fo real. 6k off a reversal is damn sexy when your opponent has to yomi you not to get hit by it.
  12. Last time I tried to post useful advice in the rachel threads I got stampeded by people who didn't take the time to understand my posts. You were probably one of them.
  13. I apologize, there is certainly a lot of vague annotation in there. I'll highlight Bang's moves in blue, and Jin's will stay black. The main point is, although mashing 2A will beat the overhead in a vast majority of circumstances, if Bang gatlings it off of 5B, you won't have enough time and you'll just get beat.
  14. PS holy shit we have the same birthday :yaaay:

  15. I'm ready to become an overnight millionaire, yes :eng101:

  16. If all you are doing is jumping around with barrier, he will hit you before you hit him, so yes, he does gain something from that. That's an oversimplification of what I was saying. If any character literally jumps around holding barrier they will always lose. Since you and I both know that is never what you do, we can erase that argument completely. Besides, even if that was Rachel's best defensive option, Hazama would gain meter just for slamming on her stupid barrier with chains, over and over. Hazama's meter gain is pretty phenomenal, yeah. And then his meter use is near infinitely better than Rachel's, on average. If Rachel forces her way in, what does she gain? If the Hazama is intelligent, he should save 50 meter for jayakou counter, which makes the already questionable pressure Rachel has even more insignificant, as even if she successfully mixes Hazama up 3 or 4 times, he can level the playing field with one IB reversal. Also, I feel Hazama's pokes are much stronger than Rachel's. Maybe that's just because of the way Bang functions, but Hazama's 5B seems much better and more rewarding than most of Rachel's close range poke options. And again, smart hotenjin should definitely factor largely. Zakiyama makes Hazama look even with Ragna and Bang with how well he uses his meter on hotenjin alone. The key is not yomi hotenjin, IB hotenjin reaction, so your opponent actually has to successfully yomi YOU to avoid dieing, rather than the reverse.
  17. Me and render tested it, 5B > 5C works just about every time against 2A mash (By just about I mean it seems like there might be a possibility of 1 or 2 frames where you may very well be able to hit 2A and beat 5C or trade, but you literally have to press it on like the 1st or 2nd frame available, which means a knowledge of blockstun beyond human possibility and perfect execution). Now, if you see a bang doing it a lot, and are dilligent enough to get the timing of IBing his 5B without accidentally losing low blocks (IE, can you correctly IB 5B in 5A 5B, 5A 2A 5B, and 5A 2A 2A 5B?), you can IB 2A interrupt 5C for sure. But then you have the counter problem of 2B being the most common follow up to 5B, and if you IB 2A between 5B and 2B you just frame trapped yourself. OH. How active is yukikaze counter? If it stays out.. say.. 8 frames after flash, you can probably option select counter both?
  18. Actually the 5C starter hurts more, in this case. 70% init proration sucks hard. 2C mid combo should be like 85ish. No matter what, the combo's going to suck, but using 2A 5B 623B opens up a ton of oki options (or you can continue with d6C jC for different oki or poison)
  19. Omg pokemon style I agree with your verdict of random, reluctantly. Non-BNB matches =
  20. Could we do it before the 29th? If it is after, I can't make it. :c
  21. Actually without IB most characters can't interrupt the followup. I think the best Rachel could do without IB is poooossibly a 5A, but most likely a 2C.
  22. Supercrash shouldn't whiff, unless you're playing CT
  23. The j4C loops are GODLIKE. I don't know why you would consider them not linked to his success, especially since with meter they can be started off command grab That combo has been around for a bit. I would suggest <bumper> 2A 5B 623B to start that part, if anything.
  24. Define uber turtling; in my eyes there is only so much Rachel can do to avoid BLOCKING a chain, and Hazama being on top of her with pressure immediately. This involves burning her relatively unreliable resource. :/ Now, she does have decent answers that are universal to fighting Hazama. If you decide you don't care if the chain hits you, you can IB the chain and try to react to his pull in (Jump forward air grab is good, often), and if you play THIS aspect of the match solidly enough, you might even make the Hazama player rage a little bit. If you succeed in demoralizing him in terms of his approach, he may lose a strong part of his game. All theory fighter though. Even using Bang, Hazama is one of my weakest matchups (Which is ridiculous )
