If people really need more 1.1 footage of console characters, then creating the content yourselves is always an option. You guys can always try to organize FT5/FT10s, an open lobby or something like Tectal's Rise/Axis' Ken/LK's Margaret vs The World and have it streamed/recorded. You'd need someone with a capture card and the cooperation of the current top players of the console characters though.

 

Don't know about any list for non JP players but if you're curious about whether BrkrDave's going/entering, you can always try sending him a tweet/PM about it.

One issue I can think of is that there isn't very much 1.1 play of console characters - Rise, Ken, Adachi, Marie and Margaret. It might be quite hard to find gameplay footage of them.

While you're obviously correct, I'm just curious if this really applies as much to Margaret?

 

I think there's a plentiful amount of video on both shores (with updated gameplay post NEC) that consistently comes about every other week either on the horibuna catalog or YouTube.

Having a designated drop in loby area is a very good idea. We ran this in my area for Xrd a east canada (toronto, Ottawa, Montreal) loby tho it only lasted like 2 months lol.

Phew. This took longer than I was hoping but I finally managed to gather all the 1.1 matches of the JP players coming to Evo from the video threads. Unfortunately, some players are very lacking in the 1.1 footage department. Most notably are Okusan, DIE-chan and Mui . DIE-chan isn't too bad since you can always lean on 2.0 footage if you have to. If I missed any JP players or if more get confirmed, let me know and I'll gather their footage!

Rurouni, you are the actual best. Some of us were actually coordinating to compile footage for each player while you took on the task alone. Thank you for all you do to here on Dustloop and for helping the P4AU community. If you weren't already awarded, I'd award you, and if I could give you the opposite if an infraction, I would. Domi (Akihiko) and Koichi (Aigis) are also confirmed for EVO. Idk if we have more. Stunedge said more than 12 were confirmed iirc but he didn't list them.

So.... has anybody been using the Tartarus 10 lobby? I never see anyone in there. I have to drive 90 minutes to play one of the two players within practical distance that can consistently beat me (out of about 5 players total who still play the game in practical driving distance), so I'm always desperate for practice lol.

Also I'm pretty sure Reako's Mitsuru obsession has us covered, but I'll check and see if anything's missing from her info. (...lol at implying anybody who's going to EVO needs my help with Mitsuru.)

It could be that I'm just going at wildly unpopular times but I don't think it would hurt to have ourselves a unionized time of which one would know that Tartarus was active. I've never fought you also so I think having such a thing can help me get my long awaited matches against you and my revenge against Axis as well as others. I don't have a twitter or the popularity so I would really appreciate it if someone much more swag then me made such a convenient time like say 5PM CST Sat. or 8PM EST Friday the norm and spread it around to all of our pro heroes like you and omnix and Rsquared and everyone else better then me(<All of persona). Just a suggestion though.

For anyone preparing to fight BananaKen or wishing to learn more about the Shab MU in general, I created an Evernote detailing various grab set-ups and escape options. Enjoy.

This was aimed at players already relatively familiar with the MU, but if there are further questions, let me know and I'll open a "How Do I Stop Shab" thread in her sub-forum.

Setting up a regular time is a fine idea. Might be best to set up a poll or something for it? My schedule during weekends is fairly flexible at least.

Cho (Ken) is attending as well, and Setsuo (Aigis), purepure (Labrys), and wakabo (Mitsuru) were confirmed roughly a month ago.

A bit of a random question - do we know whether EVO setups will use EN or JP voices? It's a minor thing, but I'd like to get used to the sound cues that I can expect to be dealing with.

I've been preoccupied with other fighters and haven't been able to put much time into P4U as much as a I wanted, but decided to sign up for it at EVO though just for the hell of it.

 

What are some basic fundamentals that a competitive player should know?

Don't press start during your match, play your absolute best at all times, and don't give into fear.

Setsuo and wakabo are officially out. JEO and purepure confirmed still in, regardless of what the bracket shows right now. There are a lot of mystery names that have popped up in pools -- some are obviously BB and GG players who entered P4AU, some may be unknown threats. Stay tuned for more updates on that front!
