Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 watch her meter tao's never RC, they will pounce you if you leave yourself open, try to keep some distance from tao if your not attacking and for god sakes if she is gonna get behind you then block and prepare for a throw, if they can't 2A you then they will throw you. for her pounce, if you got reaction and range then ID her, if not then pray she wont combo you after.

Not like any of our overheads can't get raped or anything. Just bait, and don't get baited. HF and 5D pushes are only good when you can play mind games and be badass enough to not whore out 5B all day. Also, jC is pretty damn good on your side too. Its not advisable to throw out all the time, but it stuffs 6A pretty well. Tao has no anti-air.

Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 the whole trick in this fight is to catch her and never let her go, or make it real hard not to end up buying her dinner. since tao don't have gay wake up options just throw her or 6C hell you can dead spike her if you feel like it but they gotta be dumb not to be mashing up on wake-up.

Punishing is really not an option in this match up, granted you do more damage than her most of the time unless she wicked combos you. If all else fails, Black Onslaught.
Kain Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 So I just found out one of Tao's air drives (I think j.2D, where she jumps straight down and charges you) has head attribute in a match with Rin. The problem is, the way 6A hits that drive is weird. Tao ends up flying away from you in the opposite direction, but Ragna acts as if Tao is still on his right side, so JCing it for a punish is out of the question (unless you use j.B, but I question its effectiveness on such a situation).

If you hit her while she is in the drive, it should be a counter hit. She can't tech until she hits the ground. If I remember right its pretty simple. Don't jump. Just wait till Ragna finishes the 6A and combo from 5B,5C. Or hell, 6A her again. She can't tech. :/
Kain Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 Quick correction; Tao's straight jump down dash attack is j.214D, not j.2D. Doesn't change anything though. 6A AA has to be timed properly against any of Tao's D attacks, especially in the air, but a good Tao will never throw out a D move against you so willingly. Also, 6A hits Tao out of her crawl.
