Because the original purpose of his FF was to remove the hitbox.. but they changed the use of his FF so i assume his orbs don't have a hitbox. I think like a/b orbs have a hitbox and c now doesn't...wait did c ever have a hitbox?

If she can immitate yuzu's j.2C charge fakeout mixup, that's something. Otherwise, as far as combos go, it's irrelevant. Unless it ties in with other changes to her? :3 blog also says that cross veil off and the first attack bonus work well for Orie I can see it now. Just because unlike Yuzu's, his j[C] actually can come out if you charge it early enough. Still, if Nanase doesn't get any new fast lows, it's still inferior to those characters :/. As for damage, depends on the bounce. I think she's going to be able to squeeze out more damage with it (maybe we can j236B after it?), but it's not going to make matchups easier for her. So this isn't the buff she needs. Also I would imagine that both characters would get Vorpal off of first attack trade (unless the creators programmed it not to be that way). UNIEL lets both characters can have access to Vorpal at the same time if GRD is tied, it's just really rare.

Apparently it's going to be available in the loketest for the final day or something. Also, I see some talk of Gordeau 2C having lower body invuln (lol what) and Hyde dash C gaining some sort of invuln, as well. Not sure if it's a joke or not.... Hoping someone finds some confirmation for those.

Raito confirmed the existence of Hyde VS Seth theme yesterday during his Nico Live broadcast. Anyways, haven't seen any other Wald info than what Deviru wrote... WALD 1A can be cancelled into various moves 236C faster start-up FF has faster start-up and causes wallbounce on hit IW (41236D) might have its hitbox increased a little...

It trades or causes moves to whiff (since he slides past the opponent), but I'm fairly sure it doesn't actually invuln through anything. To be fair, of course, the fact that its active frames only kick in on the back-end of his swing really doesn't lend itself to testing for invuln in practical situations. Too lazy to double-check this. @sourenga: oh, neat. I completely missed that confirmation, then. Nice~.
Surf Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 There have been situations where I would CS through the active frame of 66C and tried to poke and my normal went through Hyde. In all the 600-700+ times Ive done the Hyde matchup its happened about 2-3 times and would only happen when I CS'd beforehand and made the active frame whiff. If there no invul then I have literally no clue on how the situation could have happen. I've never tested it in training mode but I just chalked it up as Hyde having some sort of upper body invul when he passes through the opponent in the several frames he does.

I'll probably test w/ jump-ins and other air options, but it'd be best to test with the move you used. I'm also going to assume that you pushed the button after Hyde was already behind you, so there's no chance of it having whiffed? Apparently, anyway, Hyde's dC may have both upper and lower body invuln now.

Icekin Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 I hope that Nanase gets something in the final build Reading JP twitters, I'm seeing some mentions of her being a strong character, but I don't know if that's because they buffed her but no one's giving details, or if it's first impressions from arcade players who don't know how to deal with her. So far, this loketest has been crushing disappointment for Nanase players.
Surf Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Imo one of the things she needed were charged 5/2C. If when she charged those normals and an added wind effect buffed theyre hitboxes thatd be great. But they gave her j.2[C] for some reason... and gave the charged ground normal to Carmine in the form of 3[C]. When he already had some of the best hitboxes and didnt really need any help in that department afaik
