Jotamide Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 The vsync off and network improvements are excellent. I thought this was hyperbole, but it's true! ASW did actually put some effort into porting this. Money damn well spent.
GrayscaleRain Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 Got it on the third day after launch. The single player experience has been superb and the hiccups here and there have seemed to decrease with the recent patching! All in all a fantastic port (and the best out of the steam Isuka and #Reload ports in my opinion). I haven't tried online yet, but on my machine it runs just fine and the scaling and side panels make it for a fine visual experience! Definitely the ultimate GGXX experience on PC thus far.
Zazz Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 i'm thinking about getting it. does it work well with usb arcade sticks like, say, a (x360) madcatz sf4 TE?
ChexGuy Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 all of the button prompts are based on Xbox controllers so you should be fine
TAI-X Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 I still think the netcode is pretty good, but I have a T1 fiber-optic connection, so the scales are going to be tipped in my favor. The button mapping issues really need to be ironed out, though. I can't map Dust where I normally put it on my stick, because that button is recognized as Back.
TAI-X Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Not rewiring shit, it works fine on 360 and every other PC fighter I own.
Blade Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 Question for you guys: AC+R for PS3 (patched) crashes a lot on "Classic Stages". Is there any difference between this and the PS3 version as far as bugs go? Also I noted that some of the stages are different from original Accent Core (Grave had a red sky in that for example... this is dark like Slash or something).

Macro glitch is fixed as far as I know, RIP Justice Danmaku plan.
Mirage of Void Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 With my downright awesome connection in terms of quality, i have to say that i have no problems with online fights. 10/10
lwIII Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 has anyone tried messing with graphics card options to fix input lag with v sync? i know display lag did some test messing with the maximum pre rendered frames (Nvidia cards) and the flip que size(Amd Video cards) and lowering these values lowered the input lag with vsync on. the game tested was usf4. http://www.displaylag.com/reduce-input-lag-in-pc-games-the-definitive-guide/. i usually do that for all fighting games i have on pc but i dont have a means to test it.
bmckay Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Nothing is more frustrating than not being able to use my stick for this game. It's not reading any directional inputs from my PS360+ and the button layout is incredibly incorrect for default. PS360+ needs to be set to Analog Stick mode, not D-Pad mode. This is stupid. Edit again: Nope, this is too stupid. PS360+ users can't enjoy this game, especially if you input a direction while holding a button. Try holding D while doing a short dash forward (essential for Order Sol). Since it has to be played in analog stick mode, the return to neutral is about 40frames after the stick is physically in neutral. Congratulations; you just ran fullscreen and almost pushed your opponent into the corner. Looks like I'll be sticking with the XBLA version.
Dude Butts Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 I have a ps360+ and I don't have this problem, mine is set to dpad mode and it works perfectly fine on another note, I really want to help someone make a rollback caster in any way I can

silverhydra Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 What firmware is your PS360+ on? Mine is also working fine. I'm on the latest firmware, or the second latest (with the PS4 revisions).
bmckay Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 That might be the issue I'm having. The stick I was testing on is 1.61. Are you guys forcing any modes when you plug it in or just letting auto-detect handle it?
silverhydra Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 I'm using default PC mode/autodetect. Have you confirmed it works properly via Windows (if applicable) device interface in the control panel? Have you tried forcing it into 360 mode? Have you unplugged all other USB devices or tried plugging it into a different USB hub? (Switching from back USB ports to front USB ports, etc).
bmckay Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Ok so to answer all of your questions in order: Works in USFIV and works in emulators as well. It shows the POV Hat movements in the control panel properties. I've just tried Forcing it into Xbox360 Mode (2P button) and when plugged it it says Unknown Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed) or something similar. All USB devices unplugged until time to type this post (stick, keyboard, mouse). Tried front and back USB. The last thing I can think of that might be getting in the way is that I'm using Windows 10, which really shouldn't make a difference since the same sticks (1.61 & 1.66) both work in other games.
