I almost always lose the round when he does. try staring at tager for a few sec, things will click once you realise you can just look at tager and he will do nothing..

If you are, IB 5D and knock him out of his sledge B. If he is using sledge A, just barrier block it until he is out of range. But this stuff is already in the thread, which you should have read... Heroic knows more about the blockstrings: Blockstring is usually 5Ax# 5B 5C/6A/6C(Overhead) 5D Sledge, repeat. If this is the first loop and you aren't magnetized, you can block his 5C and backdash before he can 5D. If you are, then wait until after 5D to backdash.

I couldn't backdash or jump out of this. backdash the 5C, whenever i do this match i have to take into account that my D attacks can be backdashed, unfortunately for nu i can save spark and use it to get mag.
kriaser Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Counter Assault if he's using block strings. At least that's my two cents on that matter. If you don't have meter, look for an area where you can 2A > 3C and gtfo. Also, as Axis said, backdash can be punished by spark, so watch the meters. He's caught me many times with this. But otherwise, 5A or a 2A is your best bet in poking Tager out of something. Don't go panic mode and mash a 2C. Other than that, stick to barrier blocking to try to keep distance and backdash out or aim for a Counter Assault and run away (if you were cornered).

If you're magnetized in his pressure you have to either counter-assault or IB 5A/gravity depending on what he does. If all he's doing is trying to do is get you to mash, you can 214A after he uses sledge to punish the 5A reset. You can buffer it in blockstun too.

Hmm, gravity has a lot of startup frames and no invincibility in CT though. Are you sure you're not mixing things up ?

Please let me enjoy my new 5-5 matchup with Lambda. :D Erm, if you really want help. Stop doing dash ins after any blockstring with D from fullscreen. I dislike having to 720 you for being so stupid. And, please for the love of god, half your normals are faster than Tagers. You can literally mash 2A out of a blockstring.
