We can do a video but i would perfer someone who knows how to edit videos very well and if need be the character experts can pass the info. I know one thing for sure, SHAREfactory is not something i want to put up with.

The guides should start around Aug 2 starting with Hazama and Izayoi. Also i shall start taking requests for guides, so if you feel like asking for a guide, ask away.

I'm going to start working on a Lambda strategy guide sometime this week, but I wanted to ask, would beginners be put off by a massive wall of text when it comes to learning a character?

The more information, the better. Lots of information just helps the begginers get a better idea of what is exactly happening on the screen rather than having to take a guess, when there´s visual represention involved to relate the information with,  a massive wall of text stops becoming a issue.

I think guides should be made for characters that "need it the most" first, i mean, the likes of ragna, jin, tager,Makoto, Kagura or terumi are so straigh foward that is easy to undestand what are you supposed to do with them, with them is mostly work on the execution. Stuff like what moves start combos, defensive options, what each normal move does and it´s prority, the best move for a okizeme.... just reading a couple of minutes their wiki is enough for these guys, what they are supposed to do is simple to know and undestand, you just practise the execution and try to get used to it.

So, the ones that should get guides made first are the likes of Rachel, Amane, the 3 murakumos, Izayoi, Carl, Arakune or Relius, guys that begginers will have the impression of not knowing what the fuck they are supposed to do and are discouranging as hell to play since you have to learn proper set-play,zoning, adapt to you opponent style (match-up) since it´s much more important for these type of characters as you have to change you playstyle completely sometimes, etc.....

It would help the begginers overcome the hard entry barrier for these characters and even let them become more popular, since in the end most of these begginers end using the likes of ragna of jin because even if they liked some of these complex characters more, they feel helpless and insecure with them so in the end they end using the nood friendly characters ( i know a few friends that like rachel or izayoi as characters but won´t touch them in gameplay since "they are too hard" ..... )

so , long story short, i suport your idea of doing a Izayoi guide, about what character i feel like asking next, since he is complex and there´s not much material about him, how about a guide for Amane?

I'm probably qualified to talk about Beginner Tsubaki, so I could put something together, but I'd mostly just be cribbing from the wiki and threads in the Tsu forum anyway... but if you need someone to sift through it, I guess I could do that.

Yes since I like to plan ahead First will be Izayoi, Hazama, Amane, then noel since my friend asked me about her and how overwhelming the drive move sequences can be.

I would totally love to try and help with a Carl section or maybe Makoto or Hazama since I played them in the past. I'm not the best, but I didn't see any other Carls reply yet and I'd love to try to make a video or post a guide, however you mean to go about this.

Are you planning on posting this in the specific character forums or on the wiki? I particularly think that this kind of guide should be posted on the both, but the wiki deserves a special mention.

It's easier for beginners to check the wiki before jumping in the character forums and players looking for basic information for matchup purposes often have to check the wiki anyway to know the opposing character's moves. It also helps for those who can't do a proper video to illustrate what they're trying to explain about the character.

Maybe an unified format can help with popularizing the guides, which is another advantage to posting guides on the wiki. Everything in one place with a similar format should help everyone to understand different characters in a basic level, which helps everyone in the end.

Unfortunately I can't really help with the guides since I don't have Extend, but I can give a tip or two about Nu and Lambda if someone is trying to compile some info about them.

I am in the "I'd like to play a complex character but I'm a noob" crowd, so I support this a lot XDDDDD

FYI: For these guides I can make sure they get put up into articles. I can also make a section in the wiki for character video guides. I was planning to anyway, but I just hadn't gotten around to it.

I feel confident that I know enough about the basics of Relius that I'd be willing to help, but I'd rather collaborate with Myoro and some of the better Relius (Reli?) than myself.  Anyone down to help>
