Orion Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 anyone have any tips vs zappa? I'm all mixed up
MoonLessNight Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 potemkin isn't that bad a match I don't think haha.
Zakuta Asura Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 If you play a nice clean game however, it's hard on Potemkin, but all he really has to do is score a sweep...then a MASSIVE GUESSING GAME ensues ^.^ 6K is decent against him, only because it'll stop so many buster attempts, but on wake-up it's a no-no seen as his backdash >> Baiken.
HmR.kS Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 You guys do know that IAD Back tatami isn't that safe, right?

Zakuta Asura Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 When buttons aren't being pressed! 8)
Orion Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 well, what do you always get hit by? watch for those moves and try and time it around those moves hitting you.
Hellmonkey Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 I don't know when you're doing back IAD tatami, but with the right spacing and doing it low enough to the ground there are practically no openings.
Orion Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 I don't know when you're doing back IAD tatami, but with the right spacing and doing it low enough to the ground there are practically no openings.any tricks for getting it super low?
Hellmonkey Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 air dash low and do the tatami as soon as possible.
HmR.kS Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 More information versus Johnny matchups? What about Sol and Chipp also? ^^
Hellmonkey Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Don't get hit by coins. This means don't throw out random alpha counters. This also means don't use dangerous stuff like j.HS too often. React to him, by running away, blocking, and looking for openings you'll do a lot better than playing aggresively. That being said, when you get a knockdown, get on his ass.
youcanwonder Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 i have a problem w/ that im really not a defensive players im aggressive and some think baiken should not be played that way, but i agree w/ one thing one you knock him down ride him, openings a good thing to....
Hellmonkey Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 some think baiken should not be played that way She's not designed to play that way.
youcanwonder Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 i know thats what makes it fun tho...i just hate to be defensive so i tend to attack when openings do appear and usually once i do i dont stop, ive never really played a baiken and baiken fight cept in chi when i played ricky ortiz
THE SERAPHIC 1 Posted September 15, 2006 Author Posted September 15, 2006 Somebody please help me with the chipp matchup. It pisses me off cause its my turn to do potemkin like damage to somebody and i cant hit the bastard. No the Potemkin match isnt hard at all. In my mind im like damn im puttin on a clinic against this dude and then he touches me and i lose 60-to damn much% of my life...asshole lil more on johnny Johnny 2d beats out a lot of shit dont get in the corner or you will stay there until they do somethin crazy like a DBT or jackhound, or dash throw and when they do punch him in the eye and put him in the corner on the other side of the screen. dont ever try to hit johnny anywhere under him DB, j.K, J.HS wins random thing bout anji you can sneak a 5H for CH on his new fuijin move *SDV*
Zakuta Asura Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Watch out for Johnny 2H as well...I usually do j.P against it because it works more often than j.S does...that's only if you're swooping in on him.
Orion Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 wow, IAD back mat works like a dream with johnny. eventually he has to get close enough to get hit by it!
Kayin Nasaki Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 Don't be so reliant on that. using it occasionally can be very useful, but if you try and use it as any sort of long term keep away , Johnny can WRECK YOUR SHIT. If he predicts right once, he can do 6HS or Dash 6HS or HS... Or f.S.... Bunch of stuff at the right distance. But 6HS can work really good... So he CHs you in the air. Pray to god you're not near the corner. If you are, pray to god you didn't get coined at some point -- because you're about to take 50-80% damage.
Hellmonkey Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 That's not true, doing a low iad back tatami is almost unpunishable, even by Johnny, unless he's extremely close and you're spamming it like DC's coins.
