Volt Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 If Daisuke does the remixes alone, I won't mind. If it's the same guy that did the BBCP Remixes then I'll start to worry. Not related to the OST Discussion, but does anyone know if Xrd will be released for the PS3?

GVGguy Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 Hold the fuck up! Aren't the second Loketests for Xrd this weekend? I know it's a little early to ask, but has anyone gotten an impression of the music? Hopefully it's not old placeholders again...

werewolfgold Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 (edited) The phenomenon is quite simple though, since I come from a non-english speaking nation it is easy to under why someone wouldn't see the lyrics being a problem when remixing childish killer. You don't need to understand the lyrics to appreciate the song. As long as the song aspect of the song is good people will tune in, why is korean pop so damn popular in Thailand when no one speaks the damn language? (pretty faces, catchy tunes and plastic surgery). I can understand that. I've enjoyed songs where I'm kind of clueless as to what's being said. However, I'm of the mindset that if you're going to do a song that either has parts or is completely in a language that's not your native one, you have a responsibility to make sure that it's actually correct. This goes for anybody or any language. That's just being respectful to the language. If they were just going to phone it in, or didn't have the resources to find an English speaker somewhere to check it (highly doubtful because internet, and oh, the fact that they have company branches in America AND Europe), then what's the point of even putting it in English? Do it right or don't do it. Edited November 2, 2013 by werewolfgold
sparkaura Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 I know Im late but. Holy Christ Kokonoe's theme! By far my favorite.

Do it right or don't do it. Though this is getting off-topic now I think its a matter of miss-placed pride or just not caring enough. I mean if they consult if the English is correct sometimes they would just consult someone who isn't a native English speaker and just be done with it. I can give a few examples. The airport in Thailand has an announcement during the travelators (moving walkway) where are the end there is a beep announcing "End of the walk". Of course they got a local to do it and the pronunciation comes out as "End of War" as 'the' and 'walk' just gelled together into one word sounded like 'war'. Instead of getting someone who speaks English (could still be a Thai person) to do it they simply changed it to "End of the Walk Way" which is easier to pronounce for a local, completely ignoring the fact they could have used someone else to announcer it. Or another example is the game DotA (Defense of the Ancients) Thais pronounce it dot-A as in they think its .A and I explain to them that you could say it as Do-ta or the letters individually cause it is an acronym, but the locals just look at me like I am a retard. /shrug At least in Narita they use someone who speaks English to do the announcements. ANYWAY, I was slightly disappointed that Drive Qualia was actually the ending song and not Kokonoe's Theme. Technically that means I haven't actually heard what Drive Qualia sounds like, is it good? My LE hasn't arrived yet as I am just playing on my downloaded version. Edited November 2, 2013 by Ajantas
SoWL Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 Drive Qualia is a nice calm track with some hints of rock in the latter half, but overall, I can't call it memorable or outstanding. This opinion might change when I actually hear it in the game after clearing the story mode, replaying all the memorable scenes over in my head.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 If anything, Drive Qualia will go down as one of the most inappropriate tracks to play after that ending.
Gestriden Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 Considering Chrono Phantasma was originally meant to be the end of the series but there was too much stuff in the story to put in, maybe they already had the song recorded and didn't want to waste it or something?
Abominable K Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Edit: Remember when everyone was saying it was Galneryus who did the remixes? Just because Yuhki is on them. Alhambra's closer to this soundtrack than Galneryus, seeing as it has both Yuhki and Takayoshi.
kosmos badgirl Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 BLAZBLUE CHARACTER SONG ALBUM delayed, new release date is Jan 08, 2014.

Elochai Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 So, what exactly is the character song album? What makes it different from the standard OST release?
ChimeraCoinFlip Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 For anyone who's played Chronophantasma on PS3, can you select the original non-remixed versions of songs when fighting? Like just normal Rebellion or Lust Sin instead of Rebellion II Just Sin II, etc... I hope they're all on there, I wouldn't usually care but I have a friend who's already pretty pissed about voice actor changes and literally (I shit you not) saying he will not play BlazBlue anymore if the old tracks are gone.
Gestriden Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 (edited) Don't praise me anymore, Arcsys Cops came knocking on my door and attacked my channel so hard. Though at the same time they were pretty generous. They didn't try to shut down my account, they did submit multiple strikes but they grouped the OST together into two strikes instead of going for a straight up blow-out. Probably because of all the other Blazblue media I have up giving them free publicity. I sent an e-mail to the copyright e-mail provided to me in an attempt to compromise, in which case the soundtrack will still be gonel. Edited November 6, 2013 by Gestriden

Only hope you got is getting the Limited Alter Memory blu-ray (or DVD I think? Not sure), even then, you don't get ALL original tracks. Though, not wanting to play for a few actors and the music is pretty stubborn.

Yea, despite how great a friend he is in a lot of regards, when it comes to things like this I can only walk on glass. I don't really have anyone else I can consistently play BB with where I live. Online lags hard (at least for me).
GVGguy Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Yo, figured this would be a good place to ask. I've recently made an instrumental arrangement of Heavy Day that I'm uploading on Friday. But I think it would be really cool to have an alternate version with lyrics, both the ones featured in the trailer, and original ones that pop up in a second verse. So if anybody think they can perform those lyrics in a similar way to Naoki Hashimoto, with clear audio quality, hit me up, and I'll send you the lyrics.
Gestriden Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Your better off looking at a different forum all together for a vocal singer then...a fighting game forum. Trust me on that one. Also note on the Arcsys Cops they went on a full rampage, not only OST's but even people who did Arcade Rips way back when (WIth the annoying BG sounds) got their doors knocked down as well.
