Someone should just ask them about it on Twitter.

Not about the actual OST but is there a way to get the stage AND song to match the opposing character on console? Choosing the "auto" option for the stage gives the other character's stage, but choosing it for the music gives your own character's theme. I just want it to automatically match like they do in the arcade and couldn't figure out how to do this. Hoping there's something really damn obvious that I'm missing.

I don't believe there are "Auto" or "Same" stage settings. That would've been present as I scroll through said stages.

Thanks. There is an "auto" setting for the stages. By "same," I meant choosing auto for both. I'll edit the phrasing in that post for clarity.

I'm just wondering if ASW made a mistake by having "auto" for music default to your own character's theme instead of the other person's character, thereby making it impossible to mimic the arcade. Trivial, but annoying.

So uh.. I didn't see this mentioned anywhere but I hope I'm not the only one who found the Judas Priest reference in Stolz.

Couple of months ago I was listening to some old mixtapes lying around and landed on Freewheel Burning. Part of the solo is used in Leo's theme.

I thought it was a pretty interesting nod. Certainly made me go wide-eyed when I recognized it!

Confirmed in ASW's new niconico show "Professor Ueda's Fighting Game Academy"

BLUE desire replaces Blue sanction as the console Astral Theme in CP Extend.

Though I have no idea where to post about this "Fighting Game Academy" show, which is supposed to run for 6 episodes at 2 episodes per month.

What's up with the vocies in the FGA show?, they sound a little weird, like they have a little eco.

Oh my, is that a good or bad new? I suppose good because we have a new Astral Heat BGM, and bad because w'all can't get [bLUE desire] until released in Full Version. Don't ya think?

Could this be a "trick" to sell more tickets?. It really makes no sense but then again, they released the GGxBB 2014 concert and the Xrd OST in the most puzzling way. It can be a matter of budget too, let's hope they release it on CD.

Clearly it's going to be Blu-ray only #kappa

But yeah, sounds like a marketing ploy, this concert looks to be of a much higher production scale than the previous 2 concerts, so they're probably trying to make as much off of it as possible from the outset (not that it affects us directly, but expecting mad merch for sale at the venue).

It's a "trick", that's what everyone around here would say, but I'm agree with y'all, the two previous concerts were relatively short, but this one will be a little more long, because we have many guests:

  • Tsubaki Yayoi (Asami Imai)
  • Bang Shishigami (Tsuyoshi Koyama), *cough* needs a vocal break
  • Noel Vermillion (Kanako Kondō)
  • Megu Sakuragawa
  • Miss Faylan (*confuse* ♪Blue Sanction or ♪BLUE desire? What will she sing?)
  • SCREEN mode

So, relatively, it will mere more than a DVD Release, to have, dunno, 4 hours of [bB Music Live 2015] will be a little bit heavy, don't ya think?

And, going to another thread order break, can anyone around here tell me...what Instrument plays YUHKI in his keyboard used on many of the GG and BB songs that sound like a guitar but synth?

Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HhSALIbrhX0&t=14m41s (to 14m52s) or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cSIOG8CbAa8&t=3m46s (to 4m1s) or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YcaIwAneEL4&t=7s (to 24s)

Was that to clear to me, or did I get more confused?

Nah, just kidding, thanks for the info, and I see that it's no new that YUHKI's Keytar, that one plays on his Roland V-Synth GT, a clear example that he is the ONE who plays more roles , like voicing choir, the example is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzvB2pODGik&t=1m10s, just hope you like it, and, once again, thanks.

Giving you the thread order as you please, read ya later.

No, I don't think so, I doubt the concert will be 4 hours long to begin with, but concerts on double DVD or just one blu-ray is not that difficult to make this days, and a dvd-9 can hold more than 3 hours of footage with good image quality. That's just a lazy excuse.

I'm not an expert but it seems the quality of Xrd ost is not up to standards.

Goldfishx on vgmdb:

First thing someone needs to do when they get this soundtrack is to analyze it and make sure it extends above 16khz. There have been a few rips floating around that show how low-quality the on disc music is, despite the best efforts of the rippers. If the soundtrack is the same way, a lot of people are going to be seriously pissed.
