GVGguy Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5pkaWp8Xso That guitar part at the 19 second mark ALONE is so godly! The song in it's entirety is OH SO GOOOOOOOOODLY GOOOOOOOOOODLY (goodly godly)
Soothesayer Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 I can't stop listening! BUT It sort of reminds me of Crush 40 a little. Maybe it's the chorus. Not a bad thing mind you.
Tokkan Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Looks like it's gonna be a full song, instead of an Intro theme, which I expected it to be. Or you know, it could be both.
kosmos badgirl Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Is Yamanaka saying here that Heavy Day was not composed by Daisuke, but he did compose 5 vocal themes for Xrd?. https://twitter.com/Yamanaka_ARC/status/378102329330774016

More specifically he's saying these are brand new tracks, so Heavy Day apparently doesn't count as "brand new". Also, I think these new songs might be for Vastedge, since he says some of these might appear in Xrd. Edited September 12, 2013 by Tokkan
kosmos badgirl Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Thanks Tokkan, I wonder if they will release the soundtrack of the pachinko game in a CD, other pachinko games like Biohazard or Onimusha had their soundtrack released, but those have new themes or remixes of old themes.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Has GG had vocal tracks before? I don't remember any of them having one.
Circuitous Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 There were two English vocal CDs at one point. They were, uh... I don't recall if there were any Japanese vocals versions.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 There were two English vocal CDs at one point. They were, uh... I don't recall if there were any Japanese vocals versions. Oh right, the LA & NY covers...yea. This also reminded me that there are Japanese vocal versions of some of the tracks, they're not in the game tho. I have them on my phone and I completely forgot about them. That said, I was speaking more of original songs with vocals like Heavy Day.
TPPR10 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 I don't recall if there were any Japanese vocals versions. There do exist some japanese vocal covers. However, the amough of them are elss than LA covers.
GVGguy Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 On a completely unrelated note. Arc just gave me permission to post the 6 Heroes remix back to youtube: http://youtu.be/BeReXsSQ-jA Just figured some of you would like to know.

Yazumatto Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Three CDs? Hype levels at maximum. #whensbbcpost
SoWL Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 I suppose that OST differs from the one we get in the LE. After getting a grand total of seven tracks with Xblaze, I kinda wish the LE OST would have at least all of the character themes.
Vulcan422 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 I suppose that OST differs from the one we get in the LE. After getting a grand total of seven tracks with Xblaze, I kinda wish the LE OST would have at least all of the character themes. The LE OST will likely just have all the new themes Daisuke himself made (Amane, Bullet, Aztarl, Izayoi, VS. themes, new Ending Theme, and then Kagura, Terumi, and Kokonoe's themes). Worst case scemario: the 3 console character themes will ONLY be on the LE.
SolxBaiken Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Eh, 3 CDs isn't all that much considering that the OST that came with the NA CT LE was 2 disc (character themes, system tunes, scenario music) and the one that came with the LE CSE (just new character themes and OP/EDs) that's 3 disc on itself. So this new set will easily contain 2 disc of character themes with the final being filled with system & scenario. Assuming the CP LE's included CD has just the new, NEW songs, I think Ill be good since I still do have the previous 2 CD collections and the remixes aren't worth the price of import. Although it would be kinda cool if each CD was centered on a different 3rd of the story (CP side, S7 side, 6H side). I'll wait till we have more info on the packaging.
Tokkan Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 (edited) They are changing publisher, from team entertainment to lantis. This makes sense; Lantis is the record company that publishes Faylan's stuff and they are also the company credited as producing the music for the anime. On the subject of that last point, since no composer is listed for the anime, I'm guessing they'll just be using music from the games in it. Edited September 12, 2013 by Tokkan

There is no other anime composer in this world that can match Daisuke's originals in terms of the amount of passion and overall metal-ness.
GVGguy Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 I don't know. I prefer it when an anime has a soundtrack that is more tailored towards the anime itself, and whatever moments it decides to focus on. I'm not against using the game's soundtrack in it, but I still feel it would be rather lazy if they did JUST that. As there's a chance f.ex. the game's soundtrack doesn't have anything that can fit a certain moment. And hey, maybe it's Ishiwatari that makes the anime's soundtrack anyway.
Tokkan Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Little note here, on stores like Amazon and the like the Character Song Album's genre is listed as "anime" while the CP soundtrack is "game music". I'm wondering if that means something.

Ajantas Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 I assume the Blazblue Song Interlude II and the Blazblue Phase III are two completely separate entities and any music missing from the CD from limited edition will be obtained in that 3CD set. Kind of a shame, I mostly got the limited edition just cause I wanted the soundtrack but, if the Blazblue Song Interlude for Extend is anything to go by it might only include the new songs made specifically for Chrono Phantasma meaning the new versus theme, new playable character themes etc and might not actually have the II version of the original songs. I guess I will just eventually have to obtain them all the usual way.

Well, Amazon has since corrected the genre it's listed under but not what sales ranking it's in (still in the anime music ranking). Ah well, it seems the confusion at the stores came from either the fact the anime's ending theme was mentioned in the solicitation or that character songs are usually an "anime" thing. The solicitation does mention the CD contains character songs and a "consumer game ending theme".
