SoWL Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 I dunno about liking, but I only remember Teddy's and Akihiko's themes, so I guess those are my favorite.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Most of the tracks I love are from the remixed soundtrack; I like Aki's, Mitsuru's and The Arena theme. As for the game itself...yea, they kinda goofed with the game's soundtrack.
Arvoyea Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 I was disappointed in that one too, after all of the amazing battle themes Meguro made in all of the other MegaTen games. most of the original tracks in P4U were by another guy apparently, Atsushi Kitajoh. My main complaint is they mostly sound the same and get boring, especially Mitsuru's. My favorites are Akihiko, Kanji, Yuu, and Labrys. Or I just put on MASS DESTRUCTION when in training mode.
Dawn of Musou Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Boss Labrys theme is my favorite in P4A. The naked mix they did and put on the CD just made it even better. Akihiko's CD remix was also a pretty big improvement.
Chaoschao222 Posted May 7, 2013 Author Posted May 7, 2013 Btw, since this is about ASW OST in general, is Hardcorps Uprising safe to discuss ? Yeah, while I'd like it to stay limited to the games covered by Dustloop, I won't penalize other ArcSys OST talk, like Uprising and even Magical Beat (after all, I did bring up XBLAZE, and that's a VN, it's not gonna be "covered" here). I guess you could say GG and BB are the focus of this thread, but as long as things don't get too , any ArcSys title should be fine.

Yeah and I'd say HCU is even more permissible because it's written by Daisuke Ishiwatari as well
Kurushii Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Read the opening post before posting. Linking to music is against the rules. Last warning.
YukiBlue Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 ....So how about that Six Heroes theme? I think it fits them quite well. It manages to capture the personality of all of the heroes at some part or another. Really makes it feel like they are on another level compared to anyone else in the story. Kinda rare for a song to make you think like that. In terms of superiority.
Kyosuke Kagami Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Read the opening post before posting. Linking to music is against the rules. Last warning. Whoops D: Sorry. Anyway, it seems like there are some tracks inside P4U, which sound a lot different, compared to the ones you normally hear. So far I heard, Aigis' and Yukiko's sound a lot better.
NovaFortuna Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Okay, been checking the GG2 OST just for curiosity. Oh god, the eargasms. My favorites: Holy Orders, Dat Man and Diva
Kyosuke Kagami Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 BTW, if someone is interested, last time I checked the following OSTs are available on iTunes: -GGX Heavy Rock Tracks -GGX OST (AKA lol midi) -GGXX (it's like... 20 monies or more) -Those GG / BB in LA things -GGXX Sound Alive -GG Isuka As I said in the previous thread, I really hope they put the BBCP OST in iTunes.

Both versions of Boss Labrys' theme (The Arena), Aigis, Naoto, and Mitsuru's themes definitely sound the most different of them all when compared to the game versions

The other are great buffs. I don't know what Atlus smoke, to decide to use the toned down tracks we hear in-game instead of these ones.

I had no idea Arc put any of their OSTs on iTunes lol. It would be pretty cool to put CP's OST on there then lol.
Elochai Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 -GGXX Sound Alive Que es este? @P4U OST discussion: I really only liked Akihiko (CD version included) & Elizabeth's themes. Everything else was just "meh" for the most part; Like A Dragon, for example, was way too "bubbly" for my taste.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 I must listen to more of Hardcorps` soundtrack to see if it is as epic as you guys say it is. @P4U OST discussion: I really only liked Akihiko (CD version included) & Elizabeth's themes. Everything else was just "meh" for the most part; Like A Dragon, for example, was way too "bubbly" for my taste. Most people have said it sounds like something from Sonic the Hedgehog lawl. OH, I do love the opening music for P4U tho, the one that plays in the cinematic before the title card. That shit is bumpin.
Vulcan422 Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 I don't know what Atlus smoke, to decide to use the toned down tracks we hear in-game instead of these ones. The game did come out several months before the OST, so most likely they just decided to do some additional touch-ups specifically for the OST release for whatever reason.

No, I'm talking about the alternate tracks that are inside the game, but never used. Unless those tracks were released later in another album and I didn't know about it. ... or maybe I'm confusing things? Elochai: that live concert of GGXX played by A.S.H.
Dawn of Musou Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Que es este? The Sound Alive thing was an album of live remixes done of GGX2 songs. Most of them sound pretty much similar to the regular X2 songs although I do like Existence's Sound Alive version because I feel like it has a better ending than the regular version.

Actually I think some of these live songs destroy the original XX tracks (in a good way), making them sound more similar (in terms of quality) to their X versions. I still like the slow versions of Holy Orders and Blue Water Blue Sky
Vulcan422 Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 I like how those arranged versions were done in the style of other tracks (Burly Heart for Holy Orders, and Missing... for Blue Water Blue Sky).

That slow Holy Orders is a pretty unique take on it that sounds pretty cool Blue Water, Blue sky is so soothing. It really is, that's why it's on my top 5 favorite GG songs. The Road to Hope reminds me of BWBS a lot, but that's just me.
Chaoschao222 Posted May 7, 2013 Author Posted May 7, 2013 Blue Water, Blue sky is so soothing. trufax, I love that song.
