Why don't I save you the trouble by saying that none of them are. My fuzzy translations shouldn't even count! :v:

The GGXXAC+ ones? I can't call any without my list of which I've yet to do.... >>; I can probably type some of them up though. I'll let you guys know which ones I'm doing shortly/in a few hours.

Posted

Just do them in order with Branches included (and how you got to the Branch), then, map out the branches when you're done.

Posted

Finished typing up all of Baiken's stuff and like 95% of Bridget's. What format and stuff do you want it in? And how should I map out the branches and stuff? [bridget's confused me so I just have dialogue all over the place... that and one more chunk of a path is all I need to finish... >>;]

Posted

Alright. I'm fixing it up then. :D It's more complicated now though. @.@ Like what do I do for areas where what choice you choose doesn't affect the ending but can lead you through different dialogue? And what about where they keep talking to the same person after you fight them?

Posted

For routes that just change the dialogue and not the ending, all you really have to do is say "this leads to ending B", just write up the changes in the dialogue in it's own section either before or after a key branch event. For stuff after fights, it depends on if it's different or not, but keep it in its own bracket, thankfully this isn't Blazblue where you get something different even if you LOSE. For now just Character A Talking: Blahblahblah Character B Talking: Blahblahblah *they fight* ------------------------------ *end of fight between A and B* Character B Talking: Blahblahblah Character A Talking: Blahblahblah ------------ Character A Talking Character C Talking (and move on from here.) If you get a different conversation because it's a branch arc, then specify this is part of such and such conditions. If the branch changes because you deliberately LOST, then specify that. Something like *Jam Loses the Battle and Gets Brainwashed*

Posted

Alright. Then Baiken's is done save for one random line I missed because I accidentally pressed the button... >>; Should be up by tonight. Hopefully Bridget's too but there's four different ways it can go so fixing it up to make sense is going to suck. [still I know there are even more complicated ones...]

This info comes courtesy of rtl42 who cleared a few things up for me, so I'm posting this here as a partial archive, but the rest of the information will be put in my Signature link.

This is an explanation on the origin of the Sanscrit Symbols in Chipp's Gamma Blade:

These are the Five of the Thirteen Wisdom (Mantra) Kings of Buddhism, each has a Sanscrit symbol that represents them.

Another bit of info from rtl42; this time, the various Kanji that appear in Anji Mito's Zessen Fans.

The Kanji on Anji’s Zessen in some of his sprites (My notes in red.)

(On'yomi are in capitals; kun'yomi are in lower case. Where it seems obvious that only a kun'yomi or on'yomi is used, then that's all I've written. Otherwise, I've provided both types of readings, just in case.)

Air throw

(Starting from the fan held in Anji’s right hand, going counter-clockwise)

坤= “KON”; kun, eighth of the 8 trigrams of the I Ching: earth, southwest

* the in-game kanji looks a bit like 抻, but from the context of the other kanji on his fans, it cannot be that kanji

離 = “RI” ; li, third of the 8 trigrams of the I Ching: fire, south

巽 = “SON”; xun, fifth of the 8 trigrams of the I Ching: wind, southeast

震 = “SHIN”; zhen, fourth of the 8 trigrams of the I Ching: thunder, east

艮 = “GON”; gen, seventh of the 8 trigrams of the I Ching: mountain, northeast

坎 = “KAN”; kan, sixth of the 8 trigrams of the I Ching: water, north

乾 = “KEN”; qian, first of the 8 trigrams of the I Ching: heaven, northwest

兌 = “DA”; dui, second of the 8 trigrams of the I Ching: swamp, west

3P

夢 = “yume”; dream, vision, illusion

3K

迅 = “JIN”; swift, fast (Note: He used to say this attack "Jin!" in GGX it was 6K back then)

c.S

桜 = “sakura”; cherry tree (or its blossom)

6S

華 = “hana” (poetic form); flower

3S

律 = “RITSU”; rhythm, law

咲 = “SHOU”; “saku”; blossom, bloom

H

水 = "SUI"; “mizu”; water

鴉 = "A"; "karasu" (rare/obscure); crow/raven

6H

螺旋 = “RASEN”; spiral

D

夢桜 = “yumezakura”; don’t know what it really means (besides the obvious), but it IS what he says in certain voice sets when he does 5D… (Note: It essentially is called "Dream Blossom" in reference to opening his Umbrella)

2S

翼 = “YOKU”; “tsubasa”; wing

閃 = “SEN”; “hirameku”; to flash, to brandish

2H

雅 = “GA”; “miyabi”; refinement, elegance, grace

j.S

蝶 = “CHOU”; butterfly

j.H

刹那 = “setsuna”; moment, instant

Guard Point P, “Kou”

紅 = “KOU”; crimson

翔 = “SHOU”; “kakeru”, “tobu”; to fly, to soar

Guard Point K, “Sou” (I think) (Sou is "Blue")

蒼 = “SOU”; “aoi” (poetic)

236P, “Shitsu”

疾 = “SHITSU”; rapidly

236S/H, “Fuujin”

風神 = “FUUJIN”; wind god

Fuujin xx H/D, “Rin” (Confrontation)

臨 = “RIN”; “nozomu”; to look to, to face, to meet, to confront, to attend, to call on

鬼 = “KI”; “oni”; ghost, devil

623H, “On” (Shadow)

I think they may have made up a kanji, here. It looks like 陰, except the right side is definitely 念. 陰 is “IN”, yet Anji clearly says “ON”, so it looks like they defined the reading of this made-up kanji as “ON”.

Guard Point 63214S, “Kachoufuugetsu”

花鳥風月 = “KACHOUFUUGETSU”; the beauties of nature (in traditional Japanese aesthetics) (“flowers, birds, the wind, the moon”)

632146H, “Issei Ougi: Sai” (Supreme Skill: Brilliance)

彩 = “SAI”; coloring, paint (should be very nice)

Instant Kill, “Zetsu” (Zetsu is a pronounciation on Zessen, that is, "To Suppress" which is the name of the Fans)

絶 = “ZETSU”; not sure how to interpret it, here, but I guess “beyond”?

(while staggered)

痛烈 = “TSUURETSU”; severe, bitter, scathing

Anji has other moves in his EX Movelist and a few moves that are missing, they may or may not contain Kanji related to the move, only time will tell:

Mugyou [Nothing's Form] (EX)

Irodori [Color Assortment] (Unused)

Higi: Hitori Mikoshi [secret Technique: Human Shrine] (Unused)

oh sorry, i wrote: "SOU"; "aoi" and forgot to write the English meaning >_< Yeah it means "blue", and i meant that it's often used in a more poetic context, compared to the more common kanji for "aoi", 青い. well, that and, the reason i wrote " SOU (i think)" is because i don't have anything to prove that the move is actually called "sou"; maybe it's actually "aoi". But based on the nomenclature of all of his other moves, it seemed more natural to assume he'd use an on'yomi rather than kun'yomi. but what do you mean by "zetsu is a pronounciation on Zessen"? zetsu is part of the word "zessen", so i'm not sure how to interpret what you're saying; could you explain it for me? edit: um ok, so you just meant the obvious thing but didn't say it in an obvious fashion... i totally forgot about his EX moves, could you give me the relevant move inputs? i'll try them out and get back to you on whether there's anything different or not.

Posted

Zetsu = 絶 (also pronounced taeru, tayasu, or tatsu) which by itself can mean "Suppression" or "Stop" or "Death" Sen = 扇 which is simply a folding fan. It's also a pun on "Ougi" or "Skill" Putting the two kanji together bends the pronounciation rules a bit, so instead of "Zetsu-sen" or "Taeru-Ougi" " you get "Zessen" 絶扇 "Suppression Fans". As for the EX Moves, there isn't any major changes to the move names, just input and normal hit properties and one particular branching Overdrive called Mugyou. Here's his full movelist as I collected it. ANJI MITO: ----------------------Special Shitsu [Rapidness] Fuujin [God of Wind] ->Shin: Ichishiki [Needle: Type One] ->Hitoashitobi [One-step Jump] ->Nagiha [Calm Blade] ->Rin [Confrontation] Shin: Nishiki [Needle: Type Two] Kou [Red] (Guard Point) Sou [blue] (Guard Point) On [shadow] Kai [Commandment] ----------------------Force Break Shitsu [Rapidness] (Red) Rin [Confrontation] (Heavy/Linkable from Fuujin) Kou II [Red] (Guard Point) ----------------------Overdrive/Chaos Attack Tenjinkyaku [Feet of the Gods] Issei Ougi: Sai [supreme Skill: Brilliance] Kachoufuugetsu [The Beauty of Nature] (Guard Point) ----------------------Destroy Attack Zetsu [suppress] (Stopping) ----------------------EX Special Jin* [swiftness] ----------------------EX Overdrive/Chaos Attack Mugyou [Nothing's Form] ->Kou [Red] ->Ten [Heaven] (Also Aerial) ->Sai [brilliance] ->On [shadow] ---------------------- *This is actually a hidden normal input for Anji: --6K in GGX/GGX+ (Has voice sample associated with it). --3P in GGXXAC/AC+ (Has a low guard point but no voice sample). Irodori and Higi: Hitori Mikoshi are strictly voice samples from his Sound Test.

umm, who is Crow definitely again? I know him being related to Johnny in some way and that he's immortal... I'm not yet satisfied from what I read here, is there more to learn about him?

Posted

How exactly did Sol survive his past self's death in AC+? In one ending he ceases to exist from it, but in the other he's perfectly fine. Was there any explanation given for this? It seems kinda odd, so I'm wondering if there was(I'll feel stupid if it was explained in the story.. X_X).

Posted

That Man explains it in his bad end...surprisingly enough. And it's not really that bad of an ending. Basically, don't think of time as actually mutable. Your present self is what matters for your past and future self can not exist without the present you. Even if you die in the past, that's just another timeline created...assuming that it was artifically induced. (It also kind of explains Hakumen and Jin's situation in Blazblue) Anyways, Drama CD Side Red: "I-No: Whoa, amazing! That Man: It's unprotected... the hope of the world... is fading. I-No: Huh... so where's that glorious hope? That Man: Fate was against me. So is this the will of god? Perhaps the world will be saved after all." This was during Sol's fight with Dizzy. The hope of the world...was That Man talking about Sol or Dizzy? And why save Ky at the end anyway?

Posted

Hmmmm Sol's survival? Blade posted it before HERE. Scroll further down and you'll see it.

@Lou

I think the "hope" of the world may not just be referring to a specific person. Or even if he does, the "hope of the world" cannot achieve his/her task alone, thus, Ky is crucial to That Man's ideal world.

Cuz everything seemed to go to shit after Ky died... >>; I wanna relisten to that noooow! I've been meaning to, but wouldn't that be awkward with my roommate around?

Oh I have all the CDs on my laptop... and burned too. I just don't have enough spare time to listen cuz I read along. [translations are all on mah comp too nao. :D] >>;

Continued from last section:

Sol Badguy of the Sacred Order (Mid-to-late Crusades)

--Kliff Undersn: Superior/Head Commander, has high hopes for him.

--Ky Kiske: Captain of the Squad in his unit...on rebellious terms with him.

--I-no: Picked her up during a Gear Raid...saw right through her seductive ruse. Got locked in the brig because of her. Doesn't trust her.

Sol Badguy of the Sacred Order (Late Crusades/Alternate Timeline)

--Ky Kiske: Regretably was too late to save him, died as a result, took over his position as Head Commander of the Sacred Order.

--Potemkin: Joined the Sacred Order and is one of Sol's top subordinates.

--Jellyfish Pirates: Captained by May since Johnny's death, they are now fighting alongside the Sacred Order's airship fleet. Would later perform an unsuccessful suicide attack on Dizzy directly.

--Justice: Was killed shortly after Ky's death, no information on how this occurred or if Sol was the one behind it (it is assumed), however the war did not end.

--Dizzy: Taking up her mother's role as leader of the Gears (blaming Sol for Justice's death), she launches an all-out attack on the Order, taking out several Airships in the process. When she finally confronts Sol, he goes Dragon Install and then the last we see is him performing Volcanic Viper towards her.

--Testament: One of Dizzy's direct subordinates, attacks Sol's airship directly, he ends up fighting Potemkin just as the airship is destroyed, Sol taking his leave.

--I-no: Watches everything from the sidelines alongside THAT MAN who laments his failures, she decides on a whim to alter the future and officially joins THAT MAN's group.

Sol Badguy of the Sacred Order (Late Crusades/Alternate Timeline Beta)

--Slayer: Asks Sol why he joined the order in the first place, saying the outfit doesn't suit him and isn't helping him find what he needs to find (info on Gears).

--Axl Low: Fell on top of Kliff and wandered around for a bit, made fun of Sol's outfit, which triggered Sol's "bad mood" which lead to him leaving the Order.

--I-no: Suddenly appears before him with 'another Sol' in tow, pisses him off to the point he'll thrash anyone.

--Future Sol: Somewhat reluctant to fight his older self, but doesn't go easy either, the two fight and both are exhausted...I-no then kills Order-Sol, hoping Future Sol will accept his death as part of his own life.

Sol Badguy Former Sacred Order (Late Crusades/Modified Timeline/Current Timeline)

--Ky Kiske: Due to I-no's meddling, she saves his life long enough for Sol to intervene, the two then proceed to deal with the current conflict. This does not yet end the war however.

Ky later has a falling out with Sol after he stole the Firesealed Sword. This was stolen because Sol realized it was necessary in order to fight Justice on equal or higher terms due to a previous skirmish.

--Kliff Undersn: After Sol fled the Order, Kliff manages to catch up to Sol before he leaves, testing his skill with the Fireseal, satisfied, he entrusts the sword to Sol, saying he is still one of Kliff's Men.

--Justice: After Kliff's and then Ky's failed attempts to stop her, Sol finally confronts her, she learns he has a Gear mark on his forehead for the first time, but despite this he defeats her and she is weakened enough for the Order to seal her in the Dimensional Prison.

Sol Badguy (Sacred Order Recruitment Tournament)

--Ky Kiske: Old rival, now seeks out answers from Sol and a reason behind this tournament.

--Kliff Undersn: Surprised to find him there, Sol goes easy on him.

--Axl Low: Not sure what he's doing here, but moves on.

--Testament: Managed to escape the turmoil of the Crusades after Justice was sealed, Sol has been trying to capture him for some time.

--Justice: Having been unsealed, she proceeds to wreak havok on the participants of the tournament, even resulting in Kliff's death and Ky unable to deal with her. Sol eventually lays her to rest and ultimately kills her. And as she is dying explains his origins as the Prototype Gear created by THAT MAN.

Sol Badguy (Lightning the Argent)

--Ky Kiske: Messes with Ky's investigation of a certain rumor surrounding Blackard Company and a village atop the remains of a sealed Gear called "Hydra".

--Solaria: The first time she sings, Sol nearly goes berserk, he later manages to find her, and put a Limiter on her for the sake of the people who live with her, and leaves her in Ky's and the IPF's care.

--Raven: On of the THAT MAN's men, he gets in both Sol's and Faust's way in order to get a recorded sample of Solaria's "song". Sol burns him to a crisp, but it's not enough to kill him and he escapes.

More later....

Posted

Playing through Overture and looking at the character profiles, I was surprised to find Raven's nationality as being from France. I thought he would be more...Norse-ish...older even.

Posted

That's a translation error, I've gotten confirmation on it from Aksys. It was from copy/pasting Ky's profile as a template. His nationality should be listed as German. Based on his official short story from the material collection book, he's over a 1,000 years old, and likely participated in one of the Crusades (as in the historical Crusades, not the war against the Gears).
